  • i own an 01 24 valve cummins.. i dont use a chip but i put ams oil im my fuel and just a little pump of the gas make a big cloud of smoke but with a chip its like god damn where did those people go lmao

  • love the turbo bark

  • @alecm94 97 was the last year of the 12v I believe so unless he drooped a 12v in it yeah its a 24v

  • is this a 24v?

  • Your truck sound great. Did you have the DD for this video? I think the 5" sounds the best!

  • when it comes to programmers, save your money and get what you want... not what 's the cheapest..

  • That programmer do a lot for the truck? I'm gettin edge juice for mine.

  • sounds awesome

  • DAMN YOU MADE IT INTO 3RD ON THE SMALL STRIP, WHERE YOUR FIRST RUN WAS 1ST AND 2ND

  • your turbo seems to spool up pretty nicely is it stock?

  • want to sell it

  • did you put the fass on?

  • Comment removed

  • im gonna sell my hypertech 3 and get the edge juice w?attitude. the hypertech just isnt faster gettin on the freeway. sure a litttle more smoke and better response, thats it! im gettin the edge

  • what a beautiful video, the mbrp straight pipe on your 24v sounds a whole lot better than my bullhaulers on my commonrail, just added this to my favorites. truck sounds awesome

  • nice my 01 dully with a banks exuast and 20lbs turbo with 6 inch stacks had alot more smoke with the edge but thats not that bad

  • Awesome! What a difference. Under normal driving did you see any increase in mpg's with the programmer? Im about to purchase a 24v and just checking out 24v vids. Thanks

  • what pipe do u have on this?

  • MBRP 4in downspout 5in exhaust with 6in tip, i added another video recently after i removed the exhaust before the muffler and installed a stack.

  • @BlkSmkRlr86 Is tthe stack louder than the exhaust?

  • pump up your fuel and match your air intake, get on a dyno and you can really bust out some GREAT mpg's it's all about finding that middle ground, not to thick but not to lean a mixture of fuel/air.

  • actually adding more fuel increases mpg as long as u keep your foot out ofit and dont blow fuel out the tail pipe. if you want more smoke get a programmer and tune your fuel pump unless u have a 12v then u have to do it manually

  • yes it hurts your mpg if you want it to smoke more without paying money just turn up your fuel injectors but you get less mpg

  • does a FASS pump make your truck smoke more?

  • on a truck thats tuned good, less smoke

  • whats all on that truck. b/c i have supper chip but i want more smoke!

  • if you want more smoke and have a newer truck then you will have to get a DPF delete kit

  • i have and 01 dodge cummins. and will it hurt my mpg? and what is it?

  • not 100% sure but i think its like a filter that makes no smoke come out cuz it hurts your hp bad some people get 100-200 more hp by taking it off but its illegal in alot of states so if you want alot of smoke just get a old truck haha..not sure if it hurts your mpg

  • mine truck is a straght pipe.

  • i dont know what to tell you really...but in the end its probably better you dont have alot of smoke

  • why i love smoke. and now i can make it so it dosent smoke.

  • If you want better mpg, a super chip programmer will not only increase them, but also increase your horsepower as well, since ur truck is straight piped that also helps ur mpg and don't worry about the DPF because you don't have it. even if your truck wasn't straight piped they didn't make the DPF until the 6.7 came out in 07, so ur good. Throw a cold air intake on that cummins too!

  • A superchip doesnt have half the capabilities of a programmer man, they are just a little flash tuner, you can get the same mpg increase plus more power and s hitload more ou tof a programmer man. And the 06 dodges both 5.9 and 6.7 were the first year of the dpf, egr valve, and dual catalic cummins

  • oh yea fer sure i know that, i was just saying a superchips does that as well, but i dont think they came out with the 6.7 until 2007

  • Does the super chip increase the call for fuel, what kind of increase in HP and TQ are you talking. Will it somke good too? I have it piped 4" turbo back with an air raid kit. Its a 7.3 but i want more smoke for the little ricers on the freeway...

  • DPF was made so the diesels could pass emissions laws, which is stupid because like you said it hurts ur hp and mpg and the EGTs run wayyyy too hot. Once its removed and the exhaust is straight piped that'll increase the mpgs and hp

  • dude! thats a sweet sounding truck i just got the fass pump and cant wait to install it

  • ya saw the house right? pretty sure daddys got the ducketts to fix it

  • Yeah I guess since someone has something nicer than yours it must have been bought by papa, why don't you try savin your money, and savin your whining for someone else

  • ouch

  • @BlkSmkRlr86 This is what i deal with every day dude!

i am 18 an i have a lifted 01 i worked my arss off for and now everyone always says "did ur parents buy it for you?' NO I FRIKKEN EARNED IT JEEZ!!!

nice truck get some vid of the guages man!

  • You want to screw up a Cummins, stack your little addons, bad idea I promise ya, usless you have plenty of money for a new injection pump, fuel pump, and torque converter!!!

  • thanks for the advice,i have gone a different route but spent quite awhile with my edge box and a smarty programmer stacked with no problems what so ever,I am running bigger injectors and an upgraded lift pump never saw any problems with fuel pressure, the only thing i was worried about was not the injector pump but more of the computer, getting signals from two different boxs telling it to do different things...no worries though, and as for the converter.its a six speed, just upgraded the clutch

  • @BlkSmkRlr86 yeah, lol i dont forsee you having any tq problems anytime soon. hahaha

  • Sounds pretty good BlkSmkRlr.

Look like ya go some nice country out there too.

Come on over to DodgeOwnerForums and we can help ya waste some hard earned dollars on that puppy.

  • what kinda clutch you running? stock?

  • yeah hope to be upgrading this month or maybe next

  • yeah well my daddy has a geo metro thats pumpin out 5,000 ponies and 2,200 pounds of boost in a 4 cyl. with stock drivetrain...it gained most of it's power from the custom duct tape that holds the quad turbos on......haha people that try to talk shit on youtube crack me up!

  • 2,200 pounds of boost? bull shit!

  • i know its bull shit dude! thats what that whole comment was about...

  • @justin51986 awww man you mean you have a 4 cylinder metro? damn I only have 3, what s the cost for welding on an extra cylinder?...LOL

  • @adamslurch71 no it's 2 twin cylinder briggs & strat. motors

  • my dads duramax is hitting 550hp with a 4" banks exhaust, banks six gun with pda and a k&n intake

  • everyones intake exhaust and programmer gets 550 hp- oh wait the dyno says diffrent. if u want 550 u need at least stage 2 injectors- trans work, oil pump, fuel pump etc

  • u are retarted i have seen plenty of truckes push over 500 hp with a stock turbo. the only problem with a truck pushing over 500 hp on a stock turbo u create alot of heat and ur egt's get alil high. I got an 07 5.9L and im pushing over 500 hp im at about 600 and 1200 foot pounds of torq.

  • Really

  • for some reason i dont belive a lick of what youve said!

  • Yes smarty is the best programer u can buy. I have a tone of stuff done to my truck wit stock injectors and turbo and im still running a low 13 high 12 in the quater mile. If u get a smarty the best thing is to get a bata fersion on it like i have on mine it makes a big diff

  • I got an 03 with juice & attitude gettn a fass in 3 weeks then a smarty. Got a 5 speed tranny. Im told it will be ok as long as you dont get to carried away. Also edge box has timing smarty has both. I found out not 2 run both on timing. check out mads electronics web site they make smarty. very informitive site that could be helpful.

  • did you get the 95 gph fass? filters or no?

  • It is the 95 and Yes it does have the filters.

  • does it smoke alot because i want a chip that will make my truck smoke cause i have stacks

  • in this video I have the edge juice with attitude programmer installed. Since then I have stacked my superchip programmer on top of that and it POURED the smoke out but my clutch isn't strong enough so I am going to upgrade the clutch and install 150 hp injectors.

  • how much horssepower is too much for that transmission cause im thinking about getting a smarty. i have guages now.

  • I haven't ever dyno'd my truck so I can only guess as to the hp, that engine is the H/O and factory i believe it is about 250hp + 120hp edge + 100hp superchip and the exhaust and air intake that was pushing about 480-500hp. I have a 6 speed transmission and with the superchip stacked on you can really hear the clutch whining.

  • so do you think i would be ok with just a smarty? also i have an automatic i wonder if that matters?

  • it should be ok with just the smarty and no other programmer, but i've never used the smarty so i don't know how the truck will smoke.

  • oh the smartys make them smoke way more than any other programmer out there, look up some videos, its insane how much just those chips smoke

  • I have an '02 with a 6 spd, I have a hotrod

VP44, 200hp custom injectors, cold air and exhaust. I loaded my buddy's smarty on the highest level and it smoked like a freight train.

  • oh i bet it did it probably ran like hell too that sounds like a pretty nice truck. do you think it would be better to start out with injectors or a programmer? i was going to just get stage 5 edge injectors and fass fuel system but most people start out with chips

  • dieseldude74, i kinda wish i would of did the programmer first because of the added timing, but its cool when someone asked me what box i have after they see me rollin' coal and i tell them that i don't. the first upgrade i did was a fass. i tell everyone that is buying or just bought a VP truck ,whether they are going to modify it or not, to install a fass or comparible fuel system.

  • yea you dont wanna fool around with that fuel system, you want the best cause that can get expensive if things start to go dry... not that ive ever ran a fuel pump dry of course ... :)

  • dont wanna burst your bubble buddy, but adding HP from tuners/programmers isnt what your actually making. Id bet your around 400 max.

When you add numbers like that your not taking away the power loss from the flywheel, clutch, trans, t case, driveshaft and axles and tires. I bet if you put it on a dyno, youd really suprise yourself and barely be into the 400s. Theres no possible way for a stock turboed truck to make 500 hp. It could never keep up.

    Just my $.02 buddy

  • thanx for the post, like I said I was just guessing about the horse power, I wasn't really sure how to get a close number without a dyno

  • I thought you cant blow smoke with FASS?

  • now if that doesn't sound good....

  • I am thinking of stacking the superchips and edge. Got the double disc southbend and it is noisy but handels the power. I think the edge with built in safteys will keep my motor safe and put the double disc to some good use. Streight piped cfm intake and k&n intake.

  • That's cool, but remember not to stack chips and programmers that both add timing to the fuel pump! Bad!

  • very niiicee!! great soundin truck, bet shes got lots of power now

  • i would love to be you

on a farm with a couple a trucks
