My husband and I were just in London two weeks ago and attended the evensong service. We were sat in the Quire area and they performed the responses. You did an excellent job on this video, thank you so much for letting me relive this beautiful moment. Where did you get the excellent pictures? WOW.
yes it's lovely to hear the choir! I studied for 4 months in London and ofcourse I went every week to the Westminster Abbey and also to other Cathedrals. It was so beautiful. My last evensong in de Westminster Abbey was so great, I got the best place in the quire, next the coir!
I found the pictures on google, you can find a lot pictures if you searche for: westminster abbey choristers
Fantastic. These responses are gorgeous, whether at Evensong or at mattins, tjhough the collects here make it clear that it is from mattins.

I like the Lord's Prayer saying "And let us not be led into temptation." That seems to make more sense than "And lead us not into temptation."

Truly stunning. Thank-you for posting this recording and sharing it's beauty and vibrancy with others.
The sound is heavenly, and shows that there always is tremendous beauty in the world no matter its state.
Thank-you again; I loved it.

The Preces and Responses are by William Smith of Durham. Lord's Prayer is by Robert Stone.

@mayavaki
I love the way you spelt Choir.
Quire?
I prefer it to the original!
Be creative with the English language!

@pianoplayeruk:
The word "quire" refers to a section of the cathedral near where the "choir" performs. This is not creative language - look in the dictionary!
