How would you answer a question like that? Tell your old fans not to be unhappy? Tell people not to show your videos anymore? It's a lose-lose for the band, and I agree with what Bill said: If you like the music, listen; if you don't, then don't. I don't see what being "mainstream" has to do with anything. But now, they have the best of both. They're known basically everywhere in certain circles, but not "popular".

But there are some that think the band is forgetting who "made them", who was there for them first. And forgetting/betraying Germany and all of Europe by promoting World Behind My Wall or any of their English songs a little more than their German songs. They work just as hard on all those songs. D=

Their lyrics and music is amazing and me as a fan I love that their going mainstream so they can show people what real music is about meaningful music, music that speaks to you not that you just hear.

Bill is really focused, he handled that like a pro. You can really tell by the body language that the band prefers him being in the forefront to handle situations like that.

i don't know what to think about the subject on one hand if they only had a small fanbase there would have been a better chance of you meeting them one on one at a concert or something but on the other hand if they did have a small fanbase the chances of me knowing about them are pretty slim cuz i live and America and the fans and stuff would be in Europe? all in all i'm glad i know of them

I totally understand where the fans are coming from, although it's not a very good thing. A part of me loves that they're mainstream now-- cuz I can see them everywhere. But a part of me dislikes it because everyone knows them and you're not "original" anymore. Nonetheless, I'd never discourage channels to play their videos and I'll always be a huge fan.

I don't understand why people don't want them go mainstream that's a good thing people get to see and hear what their all about. Their lyrics and music is amazing and me as a fan I love that their going mainstream so they can show people what real music is about meaningful music, music that speaks to you not that you just hear.
And honestly if this people stop liking them just because their going mainstream is total bull they were never true fans of Tokio Hotel.

Just because the host of this show speaks like shit it doesn't mean everyone does. Know Connie Nielsen and Viggo Mortensen? Both Danish in major Hollywood productions, and none of them have an accent. So stop generalizing.

i think it makes perfect sense the fans are afraid that they get to famous and they wont be able to see them in a more personal matter.
when u go to a sighing session and there's like 1000 pplz their going to be rushed as to a sighing session that only has 100 they they might be about to chat with the fans for a few sec the same for concerts not good seats if everyone what to see them

I think a lot of fans (especially the German ones who originally had TH to themselves, lol) get upset when they are exposed to new countries and such. But, I think it is a little selfish to want to keep a band all to yourself. Bill said it nicely, I mean what are they supposed to say? "Don't watch our videos anymore?" I really do not think it makes them a "sellout" if they become popular. It actually makes them just a successful band. I don't know, just my opinion :)
