best way to turn your ipod touch into an iphone is by first downloading the firmware of the iphone and then go to itunes and then (SHIFT+L-CLICK) on restore button. go to your firmware and restore it to the iphone firmware. and then, there u have ur new iphone

Just like to throw this out there: yes, you can do this. BUT it requires headphones with a built in microphone, or a earbuds microphone adapter that is compatible with the itouch.

There are other apps like this, such as Skype or Nimbuzz!. There are also free texting apps, like Text Plus or Yahoo! Messenger.
