First time I heard this band was when I was living in Colombia I was 5 years old! first song was "The Zephyr Song" now I'm 16 and living in Canada and still loving their songs and will always stay with this guys!!! RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS for life!!!!
@aod123100 ya i hate lamfo and lil wayn i love rhcp i love this album im seeing them live soon i am only 11 and im less popular because l like this music but i dont care people evolve from liking this new bad music
@aod123100 As if RHCP weren't mainstream music, lol. I mean, they sure aren't as mainstream as Rihana or whatever, but they're no Porcupine Tree or Nuclear Rabbit either.
The only difference is that they're Fuckin' Awesome and make Beautiful Beautiful Songs : D.
if ur sad u listen to by the way if ur energetic u listen to blood sugar sex magik if u feel like u made it through it u listen to Californication and if u are happy u listen to stadium arcadium
i'm not sure why i love that music so much. i mean, my friends are all such... idk lady gaga fans or whatever. i guess it's because of my older brother, he listens to this kind of music. this song just sounds so... i don't know... pure. and honest. and that's what makes me love this band. i mean, they can do this kind of rock'n'roll and heavy stuff, but they can also make honest songs without getting too lovesick. it's like they can balance their music perfectly. i guess that's the beauty of it.
@aod123100 i know right i must have been about 10 and my dads stoner friend ripped me a copy for my birthday. at first i was like " oh great a copy of a cd cheers buddy a bit of money would have been nicer" then i listened to it. WHAT A FUCKING ALBUM!

@A55K1KKR Blood Sugar sex magic was released in 1991, and By the Way in 2002 dont you think that it woud be stupid for them to make the same type of music for 10 years
@nikaloveRhcp NO not really. I would be disappointed if it was not in anyway similair. Just take a look at one hot minute, it flopped because John Frusciante was not present, delivering the RHCP sound. So i guess, yes it does sound the same.
@A55K1KKR I am not saying that they should be making completly different music, but they had to evolve sooner or later, and One hot minute flopped cuz not everyone can understand songs like wraped or deep kick.
This isn't being played.. it;s like it's just being heard. not a song, but just part of the world. like time moves slowly for five minutes and 17 seconds.
I love this album. when it first came out, i was amazed. i absolutely LOVED it. this song seemed boring to me ( i was 12 years old at that time). But now, its one of my favorites, because it reminds me of the person i loved and finally lost. i know he will never see this, but i need to say it out loud, i still love You. I always will. Whenever i watch our favorite movie, whenever i hear Hear I go again by whitesnake, i remember you. Whenever i hear this song, my heart brakes.
@CJmili It is very peaceful. Not a lot of jumping around funky rock, even the more upbeat songs are very understated compared to, say, Blood Sugar Sex Magik or Californication, let alone something like Mother's Milk (in that era, they had nothing like this). Its John's best work and it shows that something as simple as his guitar playing can be so beautiful. This is a very mellow album .The scenery Anthony paints in the way he sings, you can see it.
@MrTooboredtocare Nah, this entire album is so peaceful. But then they have these pumping up songs like Throw Away Your Television and On Mercury to even it out. I'd say if I had to pick my second favorite it would probably be Stadium Arcadium or even Mother's Milk (Two completely different choices)
Apjooz = win. Spimona = fail. Classifying the BSSM album as a sell-out album is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Ever. Guitar player magazine credited Frusciante with the Chili Peppers' drastic change in style: "by blending acid-rock, soul-funk, early art-rock, and blues style with a raw, unprocessed Strat-and-Marshall tone, [Frusciante] hit on an explosive formula that has yet to be duplicated."
John Frusciantes harmonies are genius, they perfectly suit anthonys voice and its fucking breathe taking, this song is pure perfection, and the bridge bit with the high chords and RAH SO GOOD, this band is amazing.
