Why dose the militia need a uniform, we are citizens so a uniform is not needed, just some good rugged clothing and a solid hard hitting sniper rifle with the best scope you can afford. lets face it unless your unit is full of veterans that did see combat then going head to head on their terms in combat is a lesson on failure.Instead focus on long range shooting and be better then your enemy, make the percentage of hits to misses as low as possible.Be better then Expert.Live in peace if you can.
Agree with most of your points, however in order to operate under the Geneva Conventions (Article 4) militias are required to wear identifiers and carry weapons openly. Citizens who operate in civilian clothes and who are captured by combatants can be abused and/or executed as bandits/spies. Most units I know of have a high percentage of prior service personnel, usually over half. We are comfortable in uniform and wear them proudly. Thanks for your interest.

In a built up urban setting that would work well. But the most effective improvised weapon vs modern armor is an EFP. Steel tube, copper disc, ignition system and blast charge. Simple, safe and easily deployed/ hidden. Great thing about them is you can custom rig them for different size vehicles. Will even spall an MRAP.
Fairly simple, if they are a "Constitutional Militia" they will not make choices based on race. Ask around, most groups are open to any lawful Citizen.

Hell, during the Revolution we had folks in their 70's fighting. Check your state Constitution also, some vary the age limit. The age limit seems to apply (like most militia regulations) as a guideline rather than a hard a fast rule. Check with your local unit.

Not bad, but I noticed a couple of problems that are probably caused by a lack of experience. For one, you never try to move two elements at the same time if you've got somebody trying to provide cover. It's always one at a time. You also never start moving until the person covering you is set up and firing. Oh, and a little thing, don't name your Fire Teams, it makes you seem like you're getting all knowledge of military organization from video games.
Thanks for the pointers Alpha. Moving both teams at once was for video purposes, as was working in the open.
Naming fireteams seems to make things a bit easier for commo, for the civilians among us. Alpha-Numeric designations are easily mistaken under stress by folks who have not spent any time in the service. Some folks make the mistake of comparing the Militia to professional armed forces, think more along the lines of part time indigenous light infantry. Appreciate your support.

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

Well Brother, when IT happens I am sure no Patriot will be turned away.
Hell, during the Revolution we had folks in their 70's fighting. Check your state Constitution also, some vary the age limit. The age limit seems to apply (like most militia regulations) as a guideline rather than a hard a fast rule. Check with your local unit.

very good!....not to tread on your training but tactically in a open feild enviroment with a tree line in a hostile area, walk in the trees slowly....great job and god bless brothers and sisters. five stars from me.....if others dont agree, ask them what they are doing and leave it at that....BRAVO!
understand if it was for video puposes... most idiots would not even know there were people in the trees and give the vid a bad rating

Not bad, but I noticed a couple of problems that are probably caused by a lack of experience. For one, you never try to move two elements at the same time if you've got somebody trying to provide cover. It's always one at a time. You also never start moving until the person covering you is set up and firing. Oh, and a little thing, don't name your Fire Teams, it makes you seem like you're getting all knowledge of military organization from video games.

Thanks for the pointers Alpha. Moving both teams at once was for video purposes, as was working in the open.
Naming fireteams seems to make things a bit easier for commo, for the civilians among us. Alpha-Numeric designations are easily mistaken under stress by folks who have not spent any time in the service. Some folks make the mistake of comparing the Militia to professional armed forces, think more along the lines of part time indigenous light infantry. Appreciate your support.
