  • All that Jazz was the opening song to the film.

  • That's the Hot Honey Rag

  • The Hot Honey Rag

  • the actual funny thing about it is:

you know there´s just one business where that´s no problem at all!!

  • lol i love the way she says that... but its so true... show biz is like thik, you dont have to like the person... just act like you do :P... if you can do that, then your out of a job... and a bad actor HA HA... love this movie!

  • lol.!! i know!. it makes me laugh a lot to!!

  • Chicago-LOVE. I love Catherine as Velma. :]

  • um dos melhores finais que eu ja vi

  • Dear MrCandyMan123

Satire is essentially a spoof. It's usually used to address some sort of social problem. In the case of Chicago, it was murder being seen as entertainment and criminals as celebrities.

  • Did anyone else notice that at about 3:15 CZJ is on one side of RZ and then at 3:17 is on the opposite side?

  • simply i love...

  • i like this ending buh at the same time dont cause it proves if ya kill and have affairs youll be sucsessful and poor amus is alone and stuff when he paid for roxies trials and stuff

  • You do know that this is a movie right?

  • AHAHAH

    XD

  • It's satire man, that's the point.

  • Whats satire?

  • I know it's pointless to compare, but I like this movie enough to buy it and I've seen it more than a couple times. But just now I you-tubed the Gwen Verdon/ Chita Rivera versions, watched them, then the Ann Reinking / Bebe Newirth versions, watched them, and I have to say it makes it hard to watch this. And I love Zeta-Jones and Zellweger, love them--- I can just see for the first time how limited they are compared to the originals. Its still a great movie though.

  • Gwen Verdon and Chita Rivera were too old to play these parts...

  • No, they weren't. They were as lively as any 30 year old actress. Age isn't a big matter on the stage.

  • Yes but in film? It does matter. Acting on stage is much different then acting in film. Another thing is that Zellweger and Zeta-Jones are not dancers, naturally they can't compare with the stage actresses, they did the best with what they had.

  • well actually CZJ was professionally trained as a theatrical dancer as a teenager. she is also a trained vocalist since adolescence

  • i love this movie i'v seen it at least16 times now!!ilove it sooooo much!!!!

  • renee is soooooo hot like wow

  • Renee always has a face as if she's suffering a pain or smelling dung. Don't like her

  • Lol because I hate chu..

  • You're funny to notice it and post it. I used to have a singing teacher that nearly went into apoplexy as she went into a tirade how people when talking or singing say 'don't chu' or 'did ju' instead of 'don't you' or 'did you' and you know all these years later I notice it in films or songs and wonder why nobody corrected them before the final take.

  • Thats really a big no-no mainly in choral music. I may be wrong, but I don't think its a big deal in Broadway or at least contemporary music, to add the effect of it not sounding all proper.

  • lol our choir does that a lot. xD its hilarious.. and i notice it now and it bothers me xD

  • lol we could not have dont it without u she's so funny!!!!

  • Why did the mood get a little scary in the end (with the thunderclaps and all)? I wonder...any ideas?

  • It's the big finale of the movie and it is showing how these two murderesses have, for all practical purposes, gotten away with murder by becoming "Stars". Their pursuit of fame at any cost is paying off. It is supposed to be very scary and forboding and cynical I think.

  • @Slidegirl Exactly. And to drive the point home, Roxie's last line to the audience is"We couldn't have done it without you."

  • They're camera flashes!

  • i like the part for 2:08 to 2:37. we used the part where their half sliding backwards before the hats to fill a spot in where we had to choreograph "all that jazz", it really goes well.

  • I like catherine's singing voice better, but renee's dancing and stage presence is better...

anyone agree? btw... in general, I luved catherine in this movie!

  • for this movie, Catherine's more woman and Renee's more girl, so give me Catherine singing and dancing. But I also think that's the parts they are playing. I love them both!

  • Not even close. Catherine's voice is definitely better, no argument, but Renee's dancing and presence fall far short of Catherine's.

That may, however, be intentional. Roxie was not as talented as she thought she was, either dancing or singing, and she was also more "Plain Jane" than she thought she was.

  • Also wasn't Catherine pregnant throughout the filming of this move? That could also be a factor in the dancing part of it.

  • Not only is Catherine's voice better but I think her dancing is as well. She's smoother that Renee who did, without question, a wonderful job as well.

  • no way Catherine owns Renee in everyway. You actually think her stage presence is better than Catherines? no way. Catherine was the only one who gave a real musical performance that looked effortless.

  • lol "Cause i hate you"

  • thats wanna my most favorite parts LoL

i love the WAY she says it more than anything, i think...

  • lol i kno

  • lol.

Roxie: Forget it, it'll never work.

    Velma: Why not?

    Roxie: Cause I hate you.

Velma: There's only on business in the world where that's no problem at all.

    Awesome lines.

  • Awesome vid, awesome song. Except the quality is a little bad...

    Anyway, Velma pwns.

  • I ripped it from the CD with handbrake which outputs .mp4s. Then I edited it with Quicktime Pro, which converts it to .mov. Then I export it to convert it back into .mp4 to load in youtube. I din't know how to do it better or even different :-(

  • Well I appreciate all your hard word :) lol. AND i used it to learn the dance, even though I have the dvd but blegh.
