Excellent sound Mike! Can you tell me if one of these instruments would suit someone who used to play clarinet but had to give up due to weak front teeth? Do you have to bite on the reed in the same way as a real clarinet? Hope you can help. Thanks again!!
Yes you would really enjoy the Akai EWI, it has selectable fingering layouts although Clarinet is NOT one of them, Sax and Flute as well as Oboe and Other Brass fingerings are selectable and can be set. The mouth piece is breath and bite (Vibrato) sensitive and all these settings are adjustable. It is VERY user friendly and so easy to play after the Sax. 7 full octaves & so many features to make it a really enjoyable instrument. Let me know if I can help more.
