i love how emily's eyes tweak a bit when Alice starts with the wrong lyric opening the song...oh well. Alice Ripley is still the best of Broadway. :)

These ladies are great, but not a huge fan of the song. The lyric is so on the nose. I saw a concert where this song was performed and the M.C. introduced the song and said it was from Side Show and that it was sung by a pair of Siamese twins. When they got to the chorus, "I will never leave you" the audience burst out in laughter, it was like, "Duh! You're siamese twins. You can't leave her!"

@MatthewAHardy That's a reason why this song, shouldn't be put into that context in terms of a concert. The song isn't about the physical disconnection of leaving. It's the emotional support and internal presence that they offer each other, especially at this point in the show. It's an amazing duet and wonderful acting vehicle for performers. I feel, if put into a concert setting, it ruins it if you attempt to bring in the Siamese twins aspect of it. Know what I mean?

You could never tell unless you knew the lyrics carefully, but they actually made a mistake when beginning, saying the line "I'm scared" too early. But they're so amazingly talented they don't even show it. :3
