  • This is a rare beauty of Hurricane genius

  • I'm looking at buying an 87 hurricane from a guy on saturday thats all torn apart. He says it's in running shape. Is there anything i should be looking out for?

  • @PaletFire Is that the one in Calgary with the twin headlights? I just saw that ad on kijiji! Did you end up getting it?

  • @LeHatton

Naw man it was in Edmonton for 400 bucks and unfortunately my cheque didnt auto deposit. buddy sold it before monday so im bikeless still..

  • I have the exact bike in black with the red rims and full vance and hines exaust.

  • frigin classic bro!

  • I have an 89 cbr with a Kerker slip on and jetted carbs. Its a great bike. Its a quick bike. Love the sound of the exhaust. I always do prefer the deep throaty sound compared to god-knows-what-rpm mosquito sound.

  • Oh and BTW beautiful bike!

  • Hey I have one that I am trying to restore (first bike I am attempting to restore)... I am looking for a race exhaust and found the vance and hines but only for the 1000. Where did you go to get your exhaust? Do you know if the 1000 will fit on a 600? Thank you!

  • Hi, I'm from Brazil and want to buy a cbr 600 like yours.

It is hard to find parts for this bike today??

    thank you for your help!

  • i"ve had my 87 hurricane for three years now and just got over a 30 mph cloverleaf spill on a wet road...snapped a mirror, cracked the windscreen and put a slight dent in the radiator.. my cbr swing arm spools ( which i use as frame sliders) and bar end weights, saved a lot of major damage...bike still runs great...these things are bullet proof im telling you!.. and the ONLY bike to beat me in the three years was an R-1. but he only had a bike lenght on me.

  • hey, how much does this bike cost in gas?

  • Nice Job. :)

  • nice!

  • Sounds sweet!

  • GORGEOUS HONDA!!!!!!

i have an 87 hurricane myself, awesome bike, mines black with red tank n stripes

  • Hey I was wondering where did you find a vance and hines exhaust for the F1?? I just got an F1 and I want to add a new exhaust but the parts for this bike are hard to find.

  • Its a Kerker exhaust, and i bought it on Ebay, i have seen a couple on there lately im sure u could get one for roughly $200.

  • @yoyo2171

how manu hps do u get with your mods ?

what size are those diablos ?

how do u deal with ur cam chain? i mean my is rattling so much but i think at

50000km it should be ok, even im a bit scared

    regards

  • Are you gonna ride it or do you just not like the conventional lawn gnomes

  • yeah my friend has this bike its nice but my 84honda intercepter 1000 smokes it!

  • well then i encourage you to come race me, i am certainly not scared of an interceptor..

  • interceptor smoke hondas all the time well honda civics lol hate them i have a k6 gixxer 600 and 87 cbr600 still love the f1

  • wow it looks like a classic bike more than a sporty look. but it's got a nice beat. keep it up.

  • That looks fan-frickin-tastic, i have an '88 and i'm the third owner and the fairings are all effed up soo i gotta buy some new ones and paint em. how many miles??? anyways, these are great bikes still!!! good riding!

  • thank you! it has about 50 000 miles now, let me know if you need anything with your cane i might be able to help, ride safe

  • finally got a video of my cane man...sorry bout the quality its a picture camera i lost my charger to my real camcorder.

  • That's a beautiful bike. By far one of the cleanest I've seen online. I've been looking at buying one, but I'm 6'3" and I haven't ridden one yet. How tall are you and how do you fit on it?

  • Thank you; as for height im about 5'11" and i fit on it quite well, if your ever in southwestern Ontario your more than welcome to come have a seat haha take care

  • how much would you sell it for. serious.

  • too much, i love this bike

  • Hello, Im looking at getting a Honda 600 Hurricane for my first bike, Is it a good Idea or do you think its too much power? I really like your bike and I just wanted your oppinion.

  • It has enough power, it is my first street bike, has been a great bike to learn on and i get compliments on it everywhere i go. i would recommend buying one.

  • Your bike looks sharp! Mine needs a new paint job and now it stalls on me every now and then. I'm pretty sure its fuel delivery issues cuz the bike is burning more fuel than what can be supplied. Your bike sounds good too by the way.

  • hi, very clean bike, i have just bought one, same year, anything i should check or any known problems with this year? its my new project, planning on a streetfighter. should have a vid soon, cheers

  • Hey, the only problem i know of with the 87 hurricane is the clutch, i think they fixed it in 1988. I have replaced mine with a barnett clutch which has been really good so far, no slippage whatsoever. I would suggest the usual tune ups. (coolant, oil, plugs, air filter, carb cleaning) good luck and i look forward to seeing your bike.

  • ok thanks, what are/were the problems with the clutch? and what symptons? yeah, im goin to strip it all down a give it all a clean and replace everything that needs to and a good service. should look good if i can make what ive made in my head haha

  • from the Clymer manual- "Honda issued a product update program to replace the clutch in all 1987 cbr600F models. The new parts improve clutch engagement smoothness, a punch mark placed infront of the engine serial number on the right hand crankcase cover indicates the new clutch set was installed. All 1988 and later models have this new clutch assembly."

I could tell mine was gettin old and slipping, i bought new plates, discs, and springs for about $120, and installed myself.

  • well i dont have any slip but i will prob look for a race clutch or something NON-STANDARD lol ok, many many thanks, ride safe

  • got a question... bought a 89 cbr600f hurricane, same generation just two years newer, do you or any of your friends know where the electric choke wires are suppose to run to from the bars? and also i'm havin an idle problem, know how to adjust the fuel jets or where they are, lol, got it runnin, put a new fuel pump on, but she won't idle and she won't redline, throttle held back it'll sit at 6grand, bouncin the throttle o've gotten it to 10grand, ideas?

  • are the carbs clean? or syncronized? are the wires from the clutch side handlebar supposed to run to the turn signals?

  • carbs should have been cleaned, changing the oil in the morning cause the light just came on, it's like 1am now as i type this so i'm not going to go check, but the wires may be for the front turns.... i'll let you know.. but i'm adjusting the fuel jets tomorrow to see if that'll help, and running carb cleaner through the system... hopin that'll all help...

  • Hey i was wondering what body fairings are those i have a 1987 CBR hurricane f1 600 as well and fo some reason the fairings you have on look differ from the ones im trying to buy from the factory i dont know if its the paint job you have but it looks great!

if you can email me or reply here ill be checking great bike by the way :D

  • quality cbr mate looks realy clean ill do a vid of my uk cbr600f 1990 so you can see the slight differences but the previous owner has made some small changes here and there

  • got me one of them too, saw 150mph on the clock (=135/140tops in reality) one morning, great wee bike!!

  • nice ass cane man...im picking one up tomorow same year except orange metalic pearl paint with vance and hines slip on...shits clean man

  • thanks dude, i have done a shitload of work to it over the winter and try to keep the clean look with all my vehicles. You should post a vid of the bike when you get it. let me know, later.
