My fiance is from Belgium. He speaks what he calls 'Flemish'. Which is a dialect of Dutch. It's kind of how we have US English and UK English. But your dialect *is* known as the Flemish language.

The latest I heard was more then 20. There were several severe injured people in the hospital, fighting for their life, and some appearently have lost the fight.

It seems it's 26 indeed at this moment, if I read the comments well. Still have to see the news on TV to be sure.

It wasn't really the snowy conditions that did it. One red light didn't work (or one of the drivers ignored it) -> if that hadn't happened the trains would have been okay now.

The root problem in rail disasters like this is that trains cant move aside of one another to avoid a pending wreck. Serious and ongoing rail traffic control needs to be in place and operating. My heart goes out to all involved.
