I think the Monster automaticly trys to get you once you pick up the cog... My suggestion is to figure where the cog goes first then drag the monster away from the cog piece area.. Then run back to the cog and pick it up then quickly put where it fits.. or if you can find an unbreakable door and try to trap the monster inside, Lol :L
