I was dx'd with rosacea at about 32. Initially there was some concern it was a malar rash especially since even fluorescent lights will make mine flare.
It's good to know that squeezing/scratching at the 'bumps' might spread it. Hard tho since it itches intensely.
Thanks for mentioning collagen. I have a collagen disorder that affects my skin and vessels & wonder how that plays into it.
@3layerzdeep Hi. I'm doing okay. My Ehlers Danlos has been affecting more than my skin of late so I've been trying to tackle that. But I'm stable at the moment and happy. Thanks for your kindness and concern. Congrats on all the good things in the past year.
@3layerzdeep Not ignorant, it's considered rare. :) EDS is a genetic collagen disorder that can affect skin, joints, blood vessels, and most body systems.
I have redness on my cheeks and jawline, only were I naturally blush...I've had it all my life, I'm only a teenager...It's usually just pink, unless my skin is irritated or I am blushing, then it is extremely Red...I never get acne on my cheeks...The skin around my eyes is VERY translucent...So is it just translucent or is it rosacea?...I like it though, It's like a constant flush...
@oreoschick is it a constant "flush", because if it is, then these could be early stages of rosacea, it does usualy start of w/the constant flushing...since ur fair skinned, make sure to apply a sunscreen of at least a 30 everyday, yes 30spf, because the constant exposure to UV from the sun, will cause it to worsen...
@3layerzdeep It is pretty consistant, Sometimes it is light pink, sometimes it is bright red...It's kind of blotchy...It gets brighter mostly when my skin is dry...Even as a child I had pink cheeks(I'm 15)...My family tends to have translucent skin...I will start wearing sunscreen...Honestly it doesn't bother me, Personally i'm Fond of it...Just want to make sure it's not Serious...Thanks for your help!
@oreoschick yes, right now it may look nice, but as u get older, w/out any care it will get worse, so just take good care of ur skin now, hydrate it well, protect it and it will not become serious....and ur welcome hun..thanx for chatting w/me...

@TheChum1981 ah!! that is so funny...thanx for the encouragement i really appreciate it...my fam and i r doing really well, my hubby just purchased commercial property where he is going to transfer his barber shop and there are apartments on top which we are making into one bigger apartment, so it's been kinda crazy for the past couple of months, so yeah God has been really good..just needed to get our acts together u know..
@3layerzdeep Congrats! having a business is a lot of work but you seem to be a hard worker so you will go far! always remember God knows how much you can give of yourself, he does not want you to loose that joy. this life is only temporary. dont store up riches where moth and rust consume, for we have brought nothing into the world and neither can we carry anything out. safeguard your heart! the devil wants to keep us busy so we can not have time for God.
