Once you are done editing your file in photoshop you must select File and then Save for web. This will create a html file that you can use online.

I do the editing and save just how it was but dreamweaver loads the same as it was before!

I dont understand where dreamweaver is getting the all graphics and text from when I have changed it and saved it!

Try changing the File name and location of the Save (save it as completely new).

Your video is great and I never realised that you can actually edit a web template using CS2 for pictures AND words, but the problem is how do you open it using the 'html' format because whenever I use CS2 to open the html format, it says:

"Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document"

So what do I need to do in order to open the html format?

You need to open the ,html file using Dreamweaver or GoLive.

Additionally you could open using Notepad or a Text Editing Application,

Photoshop does not open HTML files.

Depends on the amount of content you want to show.

980 X 800 is a little short for a 21" monitor

The length is up to you.

Not everyone has a 21" monitor.

But that's why they have scroll-bars in browsers.

ANSWER-The file should be totally self-contained. there're some sample templates at Photoshop-Tricks . com - Just download, and while in Photoshop just select FILE>OPEN> (select the .psd file you want to open).

Hi there, I have a design on photoshop and wanted to import it to dreamweaver! I know up to a level about dreamweaver but i need help about something! everytime i link the buttons on my home page to other pages of my website, there are gaps that s been created betwen images and buttons and i don't know why?!? i tried the same thing with other site layout/projects & and the same thing happens all the time! i have previwed the site on the browser and i could see the gaps. could you please help me?

First check the File Info for the Document through the Finder - Make sure it's a PS Document - Try openning it using the OPEN Dialog Box. In PS choose FILE>OPEN>Select Your Document - make sure the Format matches the format you saw earlier in the File INFO Box.

Otherwise you may have a Corrupted File. - Hope that helps you.
