  • Wonderful.

  • Great video you have here, carpentersdaughter. I, too, have looked at some of the horrid things that Mormonism teaches [including their official missionary literature], and I'm glad you were able to find a way out. As an English-American, also, and realizing that for some reason there are tons of them in the Mormom cult, I wish I could see them escape it as well. I'm glad you found the true, non-cultic, non-overritualized Protestant Christianity in the Scriptures.

  • @rjky1986 The teaching guide of the missionaries is nothing but brainwashing. The questions are asked, but they are loaded with the answers, and the way they ask the question, there is only but one way to answer. Then they praise you for having the right answer...yeah, nothing but a brainwashing technique.

I wish I could see them all escape this too. There are a lot of friends I have who are devoted Mormons and think they are saved...it's sad.

  • Hey,I was a mormon too. I served a mission, married in the temple. I support you in leaving the church! Jesus taught us that any religion makes us unworthy, our governments take away your freedoms to live, and our money destroys friendships. It's still the same today people! Learn what the example of Jesus taught us. All those haters out there, please save your unkind remarks and learn how to love like Jesus taught you to do. Religion is just another mind control device so face the truth please

  • I am not a Mormon, but I feel the Mormon Sunday School teacher forcing you to 'vote' to choose between Jesus and Joseph Smith, Jr. was not only wrong to do this, but was not even consistent with her own LDS doctrines. No Mormon doctrine I've seen puts Smith above Christ. They surely esteem him highly, as a Prophet, but certainly not as the Savior.

  • @nhprman I wish what you said was true about the LDS Church not putting JS above Jesus Christ. But as an X-Member, I have to tell you that they believe that JS helped in the creation of this earth, along with Jesus. Most members are not aware of the teachings that came from JS and Brigham Young.

They have a song they sing Blessed is the name of Joseph Smith, not Jesus, but Joseph Smith. They celebrate his birthday...all this is something that as a church they should not do.

    continued

  • -2-

    As a person too...

When going to church, on fast and testimony day, Joseph Smith always and I say always got so much more credit and recogonition then Jesus.

While there was Paul the apostle, we do not celebrate his birthday, or even the fact that Jesus called him...each of us are but sinners before a Holy God and no man should be exhaled like Joseph Smith is in the LDS Church.

I wish you were right, believe me.

  • @carpentersdaughter2 Yeah because joseph smith was so jealous of Jesus Christ like satan is jealous of God, that joseph smith had to even try to make himself feel that he was better then Jesus Christ, how blasphemous for mormons to put that scumbag joseph smith the prophet of satan above Jesus Christ

  • @carpentersdaughter2 Praise God you are out of the Mormon faith. I just had my name removed from the membership roles. What brought me out was finding out that Con-man Joseph Smith had 33 wives and 11 of them were already married to living men when he married them. He also used many different sources to create the BOM. One of them being View of the Hebrews for the storyline and heavily plagerized from the Bible. And so many other things I found out that the church hides.

  • @ThePeaches01234 Make sure that your files don't have something negative on them. The Church is known for putting in bad things in peoples files who leave. Make sure your files say left on your own accord and not apostate, or something else that would give a really bad witness to your name. We brought in tape recorder when we requested our names be taken off the files, otherwise, they were going to put apostate on them and make it look like we were kicked out. You might want to check on this.

  • All the JudeoChristian religions and denominations are false and entirely man-made, and they can never bring true peace. THAT is the truth.

Think for yourself fearlessly, and come out of them, if you love truth.

  • @psandbergnz You just made a huge claim that all Christian religions are false. Will you prove what you just said?

True peace comes from Jesus Christ, not the church we belong too. A church is a group of people believing certain things, so people can never bring peace. Only Jesus Christ and through His Word, the bible, we learn about what is truth and what is error.

Wouldn't you say a if a prophet has false prophecies that they are a false prophet?

  • @carpentersd, I am an ex-Christian. The Bible is not convincing. The O.T. is barbaric (it authorises Jews to trade in slavery, and stone adulterers and Sabbath-breakers). It's not a particularly moral book, but springs from bronze-age men, whose god is a despot. The N.T is gentler, but Jesus is a false prophet, who was deluded that the End of the Age was imminent (Matt 24:33). His sacrificial death conflicts with the O.T. sacrificial sys. There's no reason to believe it, and good reason not to.

  • @psandbergnz Well you gave me your opinion but didn't give me any proof. You say you are an ex-christain. What makes you think you were a Christian in the first place?

Now, if you can prove to me these things you just said, I'll join you.

  • @carpentersdaughter2, I don't care whether you join me and the1000s of other ex-Christians, who aren't afraid to think for ourselves, and read outside the restricted and tendentious range of literature in a Christian bookshop. I wish you well now, just as I would have as a Christian.

Have you read any counter-arguments or ideas (e.g. writings from John Loftus or Bart Ehrman)? Or, are you afraid to, for fear of losing your soul? Has your indoctrination replaced your own inner resources?

  • @psandbergnz First off, a True Believer does not lose their salvation, so I'm not worried about that. I find it funny though that when you are put on the spot, you don't give me any proof.

I have had many, many conversations with atheists in my liifetime, especially since I started making videos and putting them on video sites. Believe me, you guys come out of the woodwork like cockroaches.

I;ve already done my homework, and found the Bible to be credible and Jesus the only True God.

  • @carpentersdaughter2, well I did give you ONE proof, didn't I? The false prophesy by Jesus of the End of the Age and the coming of God's Kingdom in the very generation of those "standing here" with him (Luke 9:27; Matt. 24:33). Why are you still waiting for it after 2,000 years?

Why do you liken me to a cockroach? You have no grounds to believe that I am less interested in Truth than you are, just because I do not believe as you do.

  • @psandbergnz I looked back on your comments to see if I missed that, and the only thing you said was Jesus was a false prophet. Now where you are refering to the end of the Kingdom, Jesus said that some of you here will not pass until the Kingdom of God has come. The Kingdom of God and the end of the age are two seperate events. The Kingdom of God started at Pentacost when the Holy Spirit was introduced.

The things you bring up don't even come close to being true. So I'm still waiting

  • @carpentersdaughter2, thanks for letting me know that I am an atheist. I thought I had only rejected the Bible.

Re. you explanation that Jesus only included the "kingdom of God" in his time prophecy (of "this generation"), that seems improbable. Read Matt. 24: 29-31 and Luke 21. Jesus says "all these things" will be fulfilled in this generation (btw, you'd be right if I had referenced Luke 9).

By "all" Jesus includes tribulations, cosmic events, his appearance in the clouds of heaven etc.

  • @psandbergnz If you look in the word of the disciples, they asked what will the signs be, and Jesus told them, and then Jesus said the generations that sees these things will not pass away. He's speaking of a future event not yet happened. You don't make yourself very clear, could that be because you just don't study enough to know what the Bible says?

In anycase, it's not a false prophecy because it was a future event. Those who will see these things, that generation will not pass away. Easy

  • @carpentersdaughter2, "THIS generation" (Matt. 24:33) refers to the generation standing with him then, not a future one. If he implied a future generation, he'd have said "THAT" generation. It is corroborated in Matt.16:28: "Verily..there are some standing here, who shall not taste death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom". That didn't happen!

Note also Matt.10:23: Jesus tells his apostles they won't have finished evangelising in Israel “before the end will come”.

  • @psandbergnz This generations that sees/witnesses these events, not the people standing with Him. Take the Bible to any high school teacher and ask them to read this and they will tell you that Jesus is speaking of the generation that witnesses these events.

You don't do yourself any favors or make yourself look good by saying it is Jesus generation. It just makes you look like you don't know English very well.

Jesus was speaking of John the apostle and he did not die before

    continued

  • -2-

Before Jesus came to him to write the book of Revelation. You think you know all about it, but it only shows how Biblically ignorant you are. You may be an intelligent person but you don't show it, especially since you don't understand that "THIS" is refering to the generation that sees these events.

you haven't proven one thing, only showed what little you do know.

  • @carpentersdaughter2, you say: "Take the Bible to any high school teacher and ask them to read this and they will tell you that Jesus is speaking of the generation that witnesses these events." I beg to differ! However, I have no interest in arguing with you. My personal sincerity is what is important to me, not your opinons. If you want to explore it further, you could watch the Youtube videos given by profmth, who goes into this theme in depth (3 videos on it). Debate it with him if you wish.

  • @psandbergnz I've already made a video on his challenge on some questions for Christians. Besides, you came here, you started this with me, and now you want me to watch some video. I say if you can't stand up for what you believe, then keep your opinions to yourself. You'll only look foolish for not being able to give a good reason for your belief.

Your personal sincereity doesn't make the bible false or true. It's just your opinion, which by the way, is wrong.

  • I was raised in the church, I stopped going at the age of 15. Bad doctrine, and a bad feeling.... I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior :)

  • @mylovemymoose Thank you for sharing that. How do you get along with your family?

  • @MsMambomama Thank you for sharing that. You know even though I didn't know my bible and could not defend against this teaching at the time, something deep, (Holy Spirit) was telling me otherwise. The problem came when they seemed to know what they were talking about and I didn't. I just couldn't defend the faith and at the time, joined because I was helpless in my knowledge of God's Word. So many churches don't teach doctrine. They teach us how to live but not defend the faith.

    God bless...

  • very inspiring :) I left the church too!

  • @mylovemymoose Why did you leave? There are a lot of reasons and I'm always interested as to why people leave. Some become atheists when they find out JS was a false prophet, while others go on to work for Christ like never before.

    God bless you for sharing,

    Linda

  • @carpentersdaughter2

I have been considering joining the Mormon Church.....they are a very loving people, and it is easy to be swayed by all of that love and kindness.....HOWEVER, although many Mormons don't even know it, they are NOT True Christians, believing in the WORDS OF GOD in the Bible, but relying on the Book of Mormon....Thank You so much for this video......it helped open my eyes!!!

  • @kyna777 I am so, so glad you didn't join. Yes, the people are wonderful and give a good example on how we should live. But unfortunately, they live their lives in accordance to works and not the grace of our Jesus. Not only that, but they refuse to believe who Jesus really is. Spiritual brother to satan is no less them blasphemy, but when one is brainwashed, one will believe anything.

I praise God you saw the error in their teachings. I am here if you need help with anything.

    God bless,

  • I can't see this as even a real refutation. Your video deals purely with your own experiences with individuals within the church, not the actual doctrine itself. I know that A LOT of the members are pretty bone headed, but I find your claims hard to believe because my own experiences with the Book of Mormon and Bible and the Jesus vs Joseph issue are entirely different from yours. I also can't help but feel you have dropped a lot of context.

  • @cbl2988 I find your comment to be quite funny. You refute my experiences with your experiences...Can't you see how illogical that is? First off this first video I put out was to show why I left. I didn't get into a lot of doctrine because this videos wasn't meant to do that. Now go to my other video on Jospeh Smith.

Ah, but I know, that burning feeling you get will override any truth that comes your way. That's the way Satan has done it. He's put feelings over truth to suduce you into lies.

  • @carpentersdaughter2 I was pointing out that your experience may have been atypical. No where, in all the time that I have spent with the mormons, have I ever experienced some kind of Bible scarcity among the members. Everyone brought them to church. In fact, most have this thing called a quadruple combination with the BoM combined with the Bible, D+C, and the Pearl of Great Price. Also, I can't ever remember anyone ever saying that Joseph Smith was more important than Jesus.

  • @cbl2988 It all depends on where you live. If you are outside of Utah, you will see more bible, or Combination then in Utah. But just because you never experieced some teacher ask you to vote on Jospeh or Jesus doesn't mean it didn't happen. This is what irks me so much with you guys. It happened and yet you refuse to see it. If I left on that basis, that would be wrong. If I left on many of the things I said it would be wrong, but when it comes to what the bible says and what ...

    continued

  • -2-

...the church teaches. We don't believe in the same Jesus, and even Gordon B. Hinkley said that in one of the conferences. Why not go with what he has said. He openly admitted that Mormons don't believe in the same Jesus that other churches teach about. His words are so true and it was nice ot hear him say that.

To be a true Christian one must believe that Jesus is God, not a god, but the creator of all that we see. Read the first Chapter of Revelation, and John the first chapter.

  • @carpentersdaughter2 I've explained that quote by Hinckley a million times. As I've said, what I understand him meaning by this is that we believe in the fulness of the gospel. The other mainstream Christian churches misunderstand passages in the Bible, overlook things completely, get some things wrong, etc. So therefore we don't believe in the same Jesus that others teach. We believe in the CORRECT doctrines, the LDS church brings you CLOSER to Jesus Christ! You KNOW that!!!

  • @carpentersdaughter2 cont...But I do recall a HEAVY emphasis on Christ. I also remember them taking a year focusing on the Old testament, then the next year on the New Testament, then the BoM, etc. I guess you forgot that fact. My point is I think what you experienced is terrible but probably rare. That's all I am saying.

I suppose I should also mention that I am an atheist and I could say the exact same thing when you try to prove the existence of a god. The only "proof" you have is "feelings"

  • @cbl2988 LOLOL...that's all I will say........atheism is just too illogical.

  • I am a Mormon and what your video says is just plain wrong.

  • @norseczar27 All I can tell you is that everything in this video happened. I can't force you to believe it, but whether or not you do, doesn't change the fact that everything happened just as I said it did.

I'm sorry you can't see this.

  • Cindy, they do not say it to your face, but they talk about it behind your back, I know I've seen and heard it myself and I like having the option of drinking booze or coffee. .Don't pay tithing ehh..you'll see soon enough if the Bishop or one of his counselors will be telling you something. It's going to happen and you'll be reminded what a bad Mormon you are. Sorry, but that just isn't for me. I don't like feeling guilty for something so stupid as that.

  • @Charliegone What are you TALKING about?? I've been a member for over 30 years and NOBODY has ever said a word to me about tithing. I had to get a Temple recommend a couple of times and they asked me then, and since I didn't work outside of the home, they understood why I don't tithe. The important thing was that I knew that I would tithe if I could. And then when I did work outside of the home, I have given to the Church. But nobody has ever bugged me or anything like that!! In 30 years!!!

  • @Charliegone And you LIKE to drink booze or coffee?? That is TERRIBLE!!! Alcohol is a TOXIN, It poisons cells. Even in low doses it significantly increases the risk of breast cancer in women, along with liver and rectum cancer. The list goes on. I have written tons of blog articles about this. Obviously you haven't read a single thing I've written. Nobody should use alcohol, it's a DRUG!! And don't go telling me that Jesus drank wine! I'm so sick of hearing that!! It's only an excuse!!

  • @Charliegone So you like to have the option of drinking booze and coffee. Wonderful. You like being like "everybody else" where they have their grownup coffee hour, where they stand around sipping this hot liquid to be all adult. And you like to use a mind-altering DRUG to relax and unwind, enjoy life, celebrate, socialize, etc. That is just ridiculous. You KNOW these things are wrong. Do you REALLY want to be like "everybody else"? And then the people in other churches think Mormons are nuts!

  • @Charliegone You know that so many people in the mainstream Christian churches misunderstand the Bible, and completely overlook passages that are very important and meaningful. You know that many of them think Mormons are racist, sexist, hate gays, and that we don't even believe in Christ! Not everybody thinks this, of course, but so many do! How could you join one of these mainstream churches?? They don't have the fulness of the gospel!

  • @cindybin2001 *Christian churches misunderstand the Bible, and completely overlook passages* You mean like the passage in Isaiah 43:10 "before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me." Mormonism teaches that God was once a man, that he was a created being. Christianity teaches that God has always existed, as the passage in Isaiah clearly states. The Jews are monotheistic, Christians are monotheistic. Why do the Mormons believe in multiple gods as the Pagans do?

  • LDS members might say the read the Bible now again, but what they wont say they discuss are things like..... Kolob , magic underwear , temple rituals , their own planet, their Mormon secret name , all seeing eye , Smith with his head in his hat , worshipping the dead , Blacks have a cursed skin , the list goes on.

A cult follows its leaders, when that leader says do this , its done. Monson and the men before him await the pit of fire .

  • @999LDS There are so many things they won't discuss and when I try to bring up some of these things, they just excuse them away as if it wasn't that important. You would think that people who say they live God would want the truth but no, they live living in their lie. I know there are some who do want God's Truth and God will bring them out, as He did me. But the numbers who want the truth are far and few between.

They will not face the fact the JS had at least ten false prophecies.

    God bless

  • @999LDS What in the world are you talking about?? I'm a Mormon and we read the Bible all the time!! I don't remember EVER discussing Kolob or "magic underwear" or anything like that in church. And I've been a member for over 30 years!! The LDS church brings you CLOSER to the Bible, not farther away! I never even cared about the Bible or God or Jesus or religion or anything like that until I became Mormon!

  • It's true. God wont let sin in his presence. But this doesn't mean we must be sinless. That is impossible. God gave his only son to suffer and die for our sins. Through his shed blood we are cleansed of our sins, not good deeds.

  • @GriffFamilyIdaho Amen!!

  • @GriffFamilyIdaho Again with this "good deeds" thing!! Why are people so hung up on the faith and grace and works doctrine?? I'm a convert to the LDS church since 1981 and I NEVER had any problem with this concept! It's just so simple!!! We don't think we have to "work our way to heaven"! I just can't believe people would leave the church or totally think we're evil or something just because they don't understand this simple concept. It's so common sense! My husband isn't LDS and HE gets it!!

  • @cindybin2001 *It's just so simple!!! ...My husband isn't LDS and HE gets it!!* Concepts such as Grace and the Holy Trinity are not common sense. These are transcendent, beyond human understanding. As a man that works for a living your husband would "get" the concept of earning something.

  • @eeikman Okay, what is that supposed to mean? You still think we have to "work our way to heaven", eh? Even after all I said. Have you read A Marvelous Work and a Wonder, by LeGrand Richards? He talks about this grace and works thing, and it really is helpful in understanding the doctrines of the church.

  • @cindybin2001 *You still think we have to "work our way to heaven", eh?* It depends on the way your church defines "heaven". There are things you must do to enter the kingdom of God the Father, isn't there? There are requirements in order for you to obtain "eternal progression", aren't there?

  • @eeikman That doesn't mean we "work our way to heaven"!!! That's not it at all!!! As I said, did you read Richards' book? I suppose you haven't and you won't, even though I am trying to help you understand. It's your choice, read it or not, but don't go putting down the church unless you understand its doctrines fully.

  • @cindybin2001 *don't go putting down the church unless you understand its doctrines fully* I understand that Atonement as defined by the LDS. I have all the books, since my mother is an LDS. All key themes of Christianity have been redefined by the LDS church. Forgiveness, repentance, the Atonement have all been redefined.

  • @cindybin2001 *Have you read A Marvelous Work and a Wonder, by LeGrand Richards?* I glossed over the book. It's Mormonism 101, written for beginners. This is why it is used a missionary reference. The book can not be used as a tool to defend your church, it's a "feel good" book for believers and investigators.

  • @anthonysfirstandlast Did you ever leave the church? After I left, I prayed and told the Lord that I never ever wanted to be spiritually deceived again. The best way for that not to happen is to get in and study God's Word by yourself. I would love to hear more about you.

    God bless,

    Linda

  • @anthonysfirstandlast If you ever, ever have any questions, I am here to help you. I know some questions might arise, and if and when they do, please feel welcomed to ask.

God bless you both, and I pray that you will see Jesus for who He really is,

    Linda

  • @anthonysfirstandlast I just don't understand this at all. I'm a convert to the LDS church, it's been over 30 years since I joined. The LDS church brings you closer to God, helps you be MORE free, not less free!! I just don't understand all these Mormons who leave the church! Here I worked so hard to JOIN the church, to learn all I could about it all those years ago, to strengthen my testimony, and you think it's good to LEAVE???

  • @cindybin2001 Simple. They are deceiving and do not practice what they preach. When I look back at how I was then, I hated it. I was condescending, thinking I was superior to everyone who was not a member, that I was right the others were always wrong. When a member didn't pay tithings, etc we'd belittle them and thinking of them as sinners. Just thinking about this makes me sick. I will never go back there again. I feel so much better out here in the REAL world.

  • @Charliegone What??? I never pay tithe or go to the temple or anything, and nobody puts me down for that. My visiting teachers and home teacher and friends in the church have always been the nicest people in the world. I wouldn't stay in a church if people treated me like what you talk about. Obviously what you describe is not right and not what a Mormon should be. As far as the REAL world, so you like being able to drink booze and coffee?? Ugh.

  • @anthonysfirstandlast I'm a convert to the LDS church since 1981 and we talk about the Bible all the time! Don't you have Gospel Doctrine class? They rotate each year, studying the OT one year, the NT the next, then LDS scripture, and then start all over again! the LDS church brings you CLOSER to the Bible, not farther away! It helps you UNDERSTAND it!! And people have always answered my questions!

  • @anthonysfirstandlast This is ridiculous. I don't know what congregation you were in, but I have NEVER had this experience, and I've been a Mormon for over 30 years! We use the Bible as much if not more than the Book of Mormon, everybody has always answered my questions, I read all this anti-mormon stuff over 30 years ago and hear the same stuff over and over, people thinking it's all "new" or something and that if we would just listen to them we'll see the light.

  • Sounds like they were cruising along doing well in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints then they gave into some temptation and THEN had to find something wrong with the Church to ease their guilt . May not be the case with everyone but I have seen it many times and usally that is the reason for people who were members to post this mess on youtube. Don't let the evil one fool you you can still repent . It's never too late .

  • I get it. Okay. Both the Mormons, and this video are basically theology. God is not Jesus, nor does Jesus say in the bible that he is Jesus. There is One God. He does not beget nor is he begotten, nor is he born. God was an is always.

"No vision can grasp God, but God grasps all Vision" Quran

If you believe in Jesus as a messenger, you'll find Islam as truth, if not, you'll find Judaism as truth. That is the truth, just do the research. Peace be upon you. Please don't hate & have a nice day.

  • @connorqb17 Since you are Muslim, then you wouldn't even come close to understanding how the Jews spoke in those days. Jesus made many, many claims of being God. He even says that unless we believe the He is the 'I AM" we will die in our sins. Jesus took on worship, He took on praise. Only God can take on praise and worship, yet Jesus did this.

Jesus is God. He is called the Son of God because HE empetied Himself into human form to save us from our sins.

  • @connorqb17 okay, your bases for this is what? The gospels? Hm? Not all the gospels are even in the bible. How do you even know which ones are the right ones? Is it because the church early on chose 4, so now you follow that? Adam is also called the son of God in the bible. What do you infer when you hear that?

  • @connorqb17 We can jump all around the place and we'll get nowhere. This is very typical of Mormon behavior when being confronted about the lies of what the LDS Church teaches.

The reason not all the gospels are included is because those others were not consistent and had teachings that went way out of what the disciples actually wrote. Those others were not penned by disciples but were named after the disciples...study Christianity and you will know this.

    continued

  • -2- when Adam is called the son of God it is because he was the first created by God..so what, what's your point anyway?

Let's get to the nity gritty...God has said in the Old Testament that if anyone comes in His Name and makes a prophecy that doesn't come to pass, that, that prophet should be stonned to death...Joseph Smith can be thankful that we didn't live under the Mosiac Law, because he would've been stonned to death. He made numerous false prophecies....

    continued

  • -3-

...such as that Jesus would physically return within 56 years and that things were winding up now to prepare for his physical return. You can find this prophecy in Offical Church Books called "The History of the Church"

So, are you going to make excuses for Joseph Smith and his false prophecies? Most who are caught up into cults will make an excuse for their prophets, so I expect the same from you. I'm just wondering what your excuse will be.

  • @connorqb17 -is not Jesus, nor does Jesus say in the bible that he is Jesus

Huh? What are you talking about and where are you getting this nonsense? The Bible certainly does say Christ is God, and that Jesus is Jesus. roll eyes.

  • @connorqb17 oops misfraising of words. But yeah, it clearly never says that Jesus is God. I've read the bible. If anything, the furthest the bible has gone is saying he is the begotten son, which christian scholars looking at the oldest manuscripts have found out that begotten is conjured. Adam is also called the son of God in the bible. Luke 3:38. So Begotten was a fabricated made up word. Trinity is never once said in the bible, but is theology. If you think a man is God, I pity you. PBUY

  • @connorqb17 John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Now go down to verse 14...And the WORD became FLESH and DWELT AMONG US....

Jesus took on worship, He took on Praise, and He forgave sins, which according to Jewish Beliefs that only God can do these things. This is why they took up stones to kill him and this is why they went to Pilot, so Pilot would kill him. Jesus made many claims of being God, and the Pharisees wanted Him dead for it.

  • So you accepted Jesus as your savior at the age of 8 ay ? and now you say Jesus is God? You had a run in with the Mormons and their Joe Smith, till you read the bible and saw for yourself. What need for another church? Did they teach you Jesus is God or is that what you discovered for yourself? I used to collect rent for my dad, when they saw me coming they said here comes the landlord, I wasn't the landlord, when dad sent someone else, they'd say here comes the landlords man. Same with Jesus

  • @fudgedogbannana Oh, the LDS Church will never, never teach you that Jesus is God, they will teach you that Jesus is one god among many gods that the Father procreated in heaven. So, I like a good berean, studied the Bible and saw the many numberous claims that Jesus made for Himself, which was of His Divinity.

    Does that answer your question?

  • @carpentersdaughter2 Does my chappel and branch I attend very different? I don´t think so. You are lying.

We don´t compare Joseph Smith with Jesuschrist. The church has his name on it so he has an amazing influence in everything what is said there. You are lying.

  • @dorisfenella you need to pay attention here because I really hate repeating myself. I have already said that this is not a usual event by the Mormon Church but that it WAS done in my Sunday School Class. What part of that do you NOT understand????

Just because the name of Jesus is on the building does not mean that it really is a true church. If that was the case, there are lot of churches just with His Name on their building.

It is really, really stupid and I mean stupid...

    continue

  • -2-

...to base truth on if the name of Jesus is on the building or not....that really is stupid.

How does anyone of us know when truth or lies is being brought to us??? Do you know that answer? Let me share with you how to find out if truth is being told. When ever anyone comes to your door and tells you this is from God..the first thing you do is compare their teachings to the Bible...but if you don't know your Bible, then you will get sucked into a cult, just like you have.

    continued

  • -3-

You have bought into the lies of the Mormon church., You don't take time to investigate to see if what they say is truth. You just take their poison in, suck it down, and then call anyone a liar because they are trying to keep you from the fires of hell.

Well girl, since you are so determined to burn in hell and not listen to God's Truth, then you can't say when you stand before God, that the truth wasn't given to you.

You need to repent and turn to the TRUE JESUS. yours doesn't save.

  • @carpentersdaughter2 There is only one Jesuschrist for all the world. That separation is on your evil mind.

Stop lying.I didn´t say that his name means that is true but that is not avoidable to forget him and you aren´t the one who judge to say who are going to go to hell or heaven or nothing. I can imagine your bitterness heart that motivates you to make this kind of video full of lies.

  • @dorisfenella Why not read the gospels, even Jesus said that there would be many false Christs and prophets. So, there are many of them today, and the Mormon church has a false Christ, not the true one.

Unless you can defend your faith, don't bother to come back. You whole arguement is that I lie, and that is no defense on your end, so unless you can defend your faith, don't come back.

I do not lie and God knows that.

  • @carpentersdaughter2 = So tell me, how is one saved? Let's see if you can give a different answer than many of the "Christians" I ask this question, all of you can't agree, and can't give straight answers, because your all confused, all claiming to follow the bible, but really don't.

For example, do you believe Baptism is necessary for salvation? The bible says it is, most Christians say no.

They don't follow the book they claim to to begin with.

  • @wellsjdan you won't find anywhere in the Bible that says baptism is required for salvation. Is it something we are to do? Yes, of course, but once we are saved, Jesus keeps us saved. Our works don't save us..read Ephesians 2: 8 & 9

Jesus said one must be born again again to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. So, how does one be born again you ask? to repent of our sins, to put our whole faith in Jesus Christ for our salvation.

If I were to die tonight, I will go be with the Lord.

  • @carpentersdaughter= you won't find anywhere in the Bible that says baptism is required for salvation.

I see you are like most bible thumping nuts, trust blindly what your preacher tells you, Read John 3:5 for once in your life. It is speaking of baptism of water.

Also read Mark 16:16, it gives the qualifications for heaven, faith, and baptism.

Very clear, to those who read the bible, and don't cherry pick just the versus they want to look at.

  • @wellsjdan You just contridict yourself. You call me a bible thumping nut...thank you by the way, then you go on to accuse me of listening to my preacher...I get what I learn from my Bible thumping..do you even know what a Bible thumper is? It is someone who studys God's Word so much and lives by it, that they know God's Word, word by word...we don't need another person telling us what the bible says because we are bible thumpers....thank you again for that compliment.

    continued

  • -2-

Do you understand the whole concept of reading the Bible? It means that the Bible will be consistent all the way through and doesn't change.

Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

LOL..Now look at the verse very, very carefully again, it says who ever DOE NOT BELIEVE WILL BE CONDEMNED...it does not say Baptised..it just tells us Believe...and this is very consistent throughout the New Testament..

    continued

  • -2-

Who ever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved...Romans 10:13...Acts 2:21...1 cor. 1:12....John 3:16...The thief on the cross didn't get baptised...Baptism is to show the world that we have put our faith in Jesus Christ...Baptism for baptisms sake is not necessary for salvation..faith is what saves us, not works...works are done because we are already in Christ. Our salvation is secure. But for the LDS salvation to the celestial kingdom is never secure.

  • @carpentersdaughter-the first thing you do is compare their teachings to the Bible

Who's interpretation of the Bible? There's many versions of the bible, and there is 800 different sects of Christianity, all saying they have the truth, all from the bible. LOL

Most Christian faiths don't follow the bible they claim to follow, for example, Christs Church had 12 apostles, Prophets, Deacons, Teachers, priests, elders, bishops, all in the Bible, and only one Christian church has all these.

  • @wellsjdan The King James Version is the most popular and is reliable from cover to cover. There are many sects of Mormonism too, so don't try to use that to disprove Christianity.

You don't even come close to understanding the foundation of Christ's church. There is Jesus Christ, and there were the apostles, the church is based on this. Do we still have to have a new Jesus Christ to keep the church going? No, Paul tells us that Jesus is the cornerstone

    continued

  • -2-

Just as a house has a foundation, you don't keep putting up the foundation over and over. Christ's church is this way too. He is our cornerstone, and then there was the apostles. These two do not need to be repeated.

How many leaders and prophets still doesn't mean it follows the truths of God's Word. The LDS Church has fine folks in it and I love my friends in the church. But still, it's a doctrine that is untrue and leads people to hell not salvation.

  • @carpentersdaughter- So let me get this straight, Your monster of a God, is going to throw LDS people in hell because they believed in Christ, tried to live a Christ like life, do all they could to do as Christ asked, but had a few beliefs you didn't agree with so you think God's going to throw them in hell for that? LOL roll eyes.

As I said, it's disgusting monsterous beliefs of a monsterous God that does that is why I left your disgusting beliefs to begin with. roll eyes.

  • @wellsjdan Please grow up, this rolling eyes thing is for teens and tweens, so grow up a little please. This is very serious stuff here. Eternity is a very long time to be wrong. Please read Matthew 24, where Jesus says to the disciples that there will be MANY false Christ's and false prophets...Joseph Smith is a false prophet and thos who follow his jesus and his god will die with their sins still attached to them. this is why it is important.

    continuted

  • -2-

This is not a matter of my opinion, the Bible is very clear and easy to understand. Those who follow a false christ are not forgiven fo their sins. God does not allow the following of false Christs to get into heaven. You have to know which is the true Jesus christ..you won't find Him in the Mormon Church, you won't find Him in the Jehovah's Witnesses, you won't find him in The Seventh Day Church and many, many other churches.

How does one get to know the true Jesus?...

    continued

  • -3-

..It's not hard to find the true Jesus...just get away from the teachings of cults where they have men as their leaders, and study the New Testament...it's that easy, but most are so brainwashed into their cult that they refuse to even investigate which Jesus is true. all cults say that they beleive in the Jesus of the bible but when one gets to studying Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses and others, it's easy to see how those teachings have warped who the real Jesus is.

    Study the N.T and see

  • @carpentersdaughter2 Wow. I have no idea what the exact thing you guys are arguing about is. But I want to say, did you know Paul in his life was an executioner. He killed people & despised Christianity before claiming apostleship. Plus I've read the KJV of the bible. It was published in 1611 dude. C'mon, plus modern day Christian scholars of the highest eminence looked on the manuscripts KJV is based on, and they found out begotten is a conjured word in all modern bibles. Peace be upon you.

  • @connorqb17 You are just parroting what heretics have said, and you are no different then your Muslim brothers. I know exactly what each of you is going to say because you've all been brainwashed and are parrots, mirror of what your teaches teach you.

The KJV was translated from the Oldest Hebrew and Greek manuscripts there are. Since the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, they only confirm what the oldest manuscripts say.

study for yourself without your Muslim brothers teachings. You'll see

  • @carpentersdaughter2 Okay. The revised standard version of the bible was based off the same manuscripts. I have looked into these things. I used to be Christian, but I decided to convert to Islam after studying all the major religions I knew of. Plus, now in the modern day, people have found older Hebrew scripture. Saying Jesus isn't the begotten son as well. I wouldn't base anything largely on something already translated (greek for instance) because there was a lot of mistranslations back then

  • @carpentersdaughter2 And look at your vocabulary . It seems thay you clearle have started to show the good christian you are. (ironic)

  • @dorisfenella You keep coming to my home and telling me I am a liar without any kind of proof to back that up. I have been kind and have turned the cheek long enough. Even Jesus said we don't have to take abuse. I have told you that you are going to hell if you keep staying in this church. You think that's being Unchristlike? No mam, it's not. Trying to get you to see the truth is very Christian. You just don't like it when I give it to you straight, rather then coat it with sweet mushy words.

  • @carpentersdaughter2 Because I know my church and I can realize you are lying. I wouldn´t become a member if it wasn´t a christian church. Nor me or you can see really the hearts of the others so the one who can judge us is God not you nor me. The most ignorant Christians and the one's that act the least Christian are typically the one's I know who judge like that, telling others who are going to go to hell or who aren´t christians.

  • @dorisfenella you are being deceived and all I am trying to do is to get you to see and investigate this for youself. I am not telling you to read my books or listen to this or that man. I am trying to get you to study the New Testament and you will see the difference in what the LDS Church teaches and what God really says in His Word.

I am only repeating God's Word to you, NOT JUDGING YOU...If you keep believing in this false jesus, you will die in your sins and go to hell.

    continued

  • -2-

You can call me a liar all you want but it doesn't change the truth of who Joseph Smith was, and it won't change your status if you refuse to listen to God's Word. Believing in the wrong jesus will get you a pass to hell, not heaven.

If you truely love God as you say, you will start studying the New Testament and you will see that the Jesus the Mormons teach is NOT the same Jesus of the Bible. This is how I found out. You need to do this too if you love God..

    continued

  • -3-

I love God and wanted the truth and He opened my eyes to the truth and believe me, it's not the LDS Church. so if you have any real love for God and His Truth, you will study this for yourself and not believe what missioaries or Elders of the church tell you. They are just as much deceived as you are and it's sad to see so many believe in the wrong God.

I havfe blocked you because you don't seem to want the truth and I don't need to be abused by you any longer.

  • @carpentersdaughter-Just because the name of Jesus is on the building does not mean that it really is a true church.

The LDS faith is Christian, What is not Christian is so called Christians running around telling other Christians they are not Christian. roll eyes.

  • @wellsjdan No, IT IS NOT. THE LDS faith does not hold to the Christian doctrines, so the LDS Church is NOT CHRISTIAN. IT is Mormon with a false prophet as it's leader.

Answer me this, when Joseph Smith gave the prophecy that Jesus would return in 56 years, what happened? Jesus has yet to return, and this makes good ole JS a false prophet by standards of God's Word.

  • Good thing for the LDS faith, idiots like you bible thumping nutjobs do not judge us as Christian or not. God does. It is idiots like you that turn people off to Christianity, I grew up in your disgusting faith, it is filled with hypocrites and judgemental idiots like yourself.

Now run along, we have our faith, go try to live yours.

I already left your faith, the one that has a God that throws most of his children in hell to be tortured for eternity is not a God I would believe in

  • @wellsjdan You call me an idiot but look at your own language here. You seem to be very hypocritical yourself and you know it. You are angry because I am trying to get you to see the truth here. Do you know here in Utah that there are more Bishops who are found guilty of child molestation? I know, I live in Utah, and it's on the news all the time, oh, and those nice Mormon women teachers who are constantly molesting young boys...So, you can't talk about hypocrites, they are in all faiths

    cont

  • -2-

This very same God you call monsterous, is the very same God who has made a way for mankind to be saved. But He is not going to allow someone who is covered in sin into His presense, and you seem to think that God can be exposed to sin and it';s okay. This shows you don't even comprehend His Holiness. Just as a Judge wouldn;t allow a murderer or a rapist to go free, God is the same. There is nothing monsterous about God who has made a way for mankind to be forgiven of their sins.

    continued

  • -2-

But when men refuse to repent and live a life of evil, you seem to think that God should just ignore that and allow them into heaven..well, sin can not be in the presense of God. Jesus came and paid the price but if we refuse to take that gift, it's no one's fault but their own if they end up seperated from God for all eternity. It's by their choice that they end up seperated.

Now, Satan wants to deceive and keep the real Jesus from people. He does it though false churches

    continued

  • -3-

Satan uses a little truth to deceive. I bet you must have been a Baptist before being converted to the LDS Faith. I was Baptist, and I didn't know one thing about my Bible or what it taught. So when the missionaries came alone I had no reason to think that what they said was false. I believed them. It wasn't until I started studying for myself that I saw that what the LDS Church taught wasn't the same as what the Bible says.

    I love God's truth..

Do you love God's Truth? Study, study!

  • @carpentersdaughter2 As you know, I'm a convert to the LDS church and investigated all on my own! No missionaries ever came to my door, and if they had, I probably would never have answered it, being a woman alone, not wanting to be "bugged" about religion, etc. But I knew there was something about Mormons I had to find out, and so I studied, investigated, pondered and prayed, even went to a Sacrament meeting. And THEN I contacted the missionaries to be baptised. They were shocked! Lol.

  • @carpentersdaughter2 - You going to answer my questions? Or are you here just to degrade and deride others faith, but can't stand your own being evalutated? roll eyes.

And what is your reference for the Joseph Smith prophecy? Chapter, Verse, Book, it's called a reference. Learn it.

  • @wellsjdan The reason you got blocked is because of your attitude of being rude, sarcastic and putting me down.

Do you have the set of Church Books called History of the Church? This is a Church santified set of books for it';smembers to read and get to know the history of the church.

(History of the Church, vol. 2, p. 189). Jesus did not return in 1891 as Joseph Smith prophecied.

If you love God, then you will check out all the false prophecies of J.S.

    DO YOU LOVE GOD'S TRUTH???

  • It´s possible he shot in self deffense to the atackers. But there is no evidence that any of them died as a result of the attack. You lie!

  • @dorisfenella According to History of the Church, which is an official Church publication says that he wounded three and one died later as a result...Now, you want to protect your prophet but you refuse to believe what History of the Church books say.

Here's the big problem. When getting the lessons from the missionaries, they tell prospective converts that Joseph Smith went like a lamb to the slaughter...since when do lambs fight back with guns?

    continued

  • -2-

You keep telling me that I lie, but I am trying to show you that these things can be found in official church books, which is the History of the Church. What the LDS Church teaches and what is truth are two seperate things and they don't work together.

Next time you tell me I lie, then you prove to me where I lied, rather then calling me a liar. I challenge you to prove me wrong, and if I am, I will rejoin the church. If you're not going to prove me wrong, then why keep writing to me?

  • Comment removed

  • @carpentersdaughter2 Why are you so prejudiced? I didn´t talk so much about that with the missionaries at that time I didn´t want to know details about sad stories. So you lie again because the church never hidden JS had an arm. But theres no real evidence that someone had died by him, it was only a rumor. Also, the term "Lamb to the slaughter" simply refers to the inevitability of the outcome. In fact there, lambs spiking and make every attemp to break free. You say fallacies.

  • @dorisfenella What is this about JS having an arm? We never talked about his arm, so why bring it up??

No, it's not a rumor, why not stop asking your Mormon friends and go into research yourself. Also, I challenged you to prove me wrong, and if you couldn't why keep coming back?

Why did Joseph Smith say that Jesus was going to be coming back in 56 years? This is in official church books, but you know, Jesus hasn't come back. You ask why I am prejudiced? Because I can for your soul.

    cont

  • -2-

you are worth fighting for, and I don't want to see you in hell for the mistake of joining a church that is not true, but false and leads many people to hell. That's why?

If you don't like what I say, then why return? Just telling me I lie is no big deal. I ask you to search these things out for yourself.

Now, tell me why Jesus never came back in 1891 like Joseph Smith said he would?

Here's the church reference (History of the Church, vol. 2, p. 189).

  • Comment removed

  • @carpentersdaughter2 I didn´t talk asked friends I read it not only on History Church books. And Joseph Smith didn´t say that. When he said about that he was talking about a personal experience and that is not the same to say that Jesus was going to coming back ( for everybody). Joseph said that his name will be taken for good or for bad, and we can see that is totally true.

  • Not only wikipedia had concluded that Joseph Smith doesn´t have sons but with Emma. And Emma always denied that his husband practised polygamy and precisaly that was the reason she refused to follow Brigham Young. And don´t tell me what I have to do, your video has falacies, I am sure of that.

  • Hi. I'm Andy from Montreal, Canada. I saw some of your videos and find them to be of interest ; thanks for the postings. I am NOT LDS. I have been investingating LDS for a while but have stopped about 2-3 years ago. I have a question : what is meant when they talk about "the warming of the bosom" ? What is that all about ? Have you ever encounter that ? Maybe you should make a video on that ! Is this experience and others Blessing exclusive to the Mormons as they claim. Thanks again.

  • @alofano This term I have only heard in the LDS church. They say if you pray about something God will give you a "burning in the bosom" to show it is true.

Prayer is a good thing, but in Acts 17:11 we read "These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, & searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so." If you want to know something is true check what the Bible says about it. For a burning bosom try Pizza Hut.

  • @FlaviusSarcasticus-so." If you want to know something is true check what the Bible says about it. For a burning bosom try Pizza Hut.

So your saying that scriptures says not to pray? LOL Too funny, A Christian saying prayer is not useful. smirk.

So how does one know truth? Just from reading the bible? Many have read the bible and don't believe it, you know why? They haven't prayed.

Did you know the bible says a similar thing about a burning in the bosom?

  • So why wikipedia deny what you said. Joseph Smith doesn´t have sons but with Emma.

  • @dorisfenella Wikipedia can't be trusted because anyone can put anything into wikipedia, so please, don't trust that site.

According to Church History Joseph Smith had 33 wives, plus Emma, and he had lots of Boys and Girls by these pologmist wives. Just take time to read your church history and you will see that JS had many wifes, sons and daughters.

  • Are you sure you were a member before? This is actually false. No one has ever chose Joseph over God before from the classes I've been to. And I hope you are not exaggerating your points. And oh come on, all those false statements about Joseph such as him having many wives, I mean where'd you even heard or get that from?

  • @typicalxlyf I did not say this was a practice of the LDS Church. I shared what happened, and if you want to keep your head in the sand, fine by me.

Are you RLDS or Community of Christ, because they deny the wives Joseph Smith had. I am sure without any doubt that if most of the very old people in Utah were given a DNS test against Joseph Smith, I am sure without doubt that there would be numerous offsprings of J.S.

Through prayer and study it isn't hard to see the LDS Church as false.

  • I almost leave the LDS church but I waited a bit and I saw they glorified Jesus and I saw they read the Bible in the sacramental reunión and I saw friends were happy to see me again as I had been absent for some time . Till those times I didn´t love the prophet but since I read well BOM and researched more I started to love him. Many people say bad things about him, but any wicked man cannot write the BOM and that´s one great prove. This is descent and in english, don´t erase.

  • @dorisfenella I want you to think of this, the Koran, which is evil from cover to cover, the Mulsims say that this book is divine and from God. I know that it is from Satan, and not from God..you can't rely on your feelings, or what you think. You must rely on the oldrest revelation from God and that is the Bible. the Bible and the LDS Church do not teach the same thing. Staying in the LDS Faith will mean having no place in Heaven with God.

I implore you, please, the LDS Church is not true

  • @carpentersdaughter2 It is very difficult cause I love the prophet yet, times ago I could attend you easily but now is painful reading those horrible things said not only by you. I want to know something simple curious.

Why are you so interested that me leave a church that makes me feel happy? Joseph Smith is death he cannot defend himself anymore but this church is good and is unfair those affirmations you did in this video.

  • @dorisfenella I know this sounds hard to you, but eternity is a long time to be wrong. I want you to get to know the true Jesus Christ and not the false one that the LDS Church teaches about. The Jesus of the Bible is not the Jesus of the LDS Church. The Jesus of the Bible is not the brother to Satan as the LDS Church teaches. Men do not pregress to be a god someday. This is one of the first lies that Satan told mankind and men are still believing it today.

There are many things that are taught by the LDS Church that goes against what the Bible teaches, and I don't want to see you in hell because you believed in a false prophet. I care deeply for people and I don't want them or you to be deceived. This is why I say you can't trust in your feelings because feelings will lead you down the road to destruction. We need to know God's Original Word, which is the Bible and see if it lines up with other teachings.

I don't want you to be lost forever

  • @carpentersdaughter2 A false prophet that says to come to Jesus, a false prophet that writes incredible amazing so he invented the Book of Mormon having lack of instruction, a false prophet that has many wives but child only with Emma, a false prophet that was assasinated by good christians, a false prophet that makes her wife happy doing beatiful letters, a false prophet that never was betrayed.(ironic) There is many publications that is not official and people like you spread it as they was.

  • @dorisfenella Yes, Joseph Smith was deceived hisself, and yes, he points to a false Jesus, not the true Jesus Christ. As far as the Book of Mormon goes, he stole that book right off the shelves of a publishing company. He did NOT write the Book of Mormon. This is the lie that you have been told.

Joseph Smith had 33 wives, and has sons and daughters by Him, with these wives.

Joseph Smith didn't die a myrter, he shot and killed people while escaping from jail. That's not a myrters death.

  • @carpentersdaughter2 The LDS church doesn't go against what the Bible teaches. People just misinterpret or overlook things in the Bible. Again, read A Marvelous Work and a Wonder, by LeGrande Richards, where he explains misunderstood Bible passages. I know you hate that I tell you to read that book and not the Bible, but of COURSE we are to read the Bible! That is the main thing to read! But I'm just saying that Richards' book explains some of those scriptures.

  • I hope you found what you were looking for

  • @tocoace469 I found the truth of who Jesus Christ is, and that's the best thing ever.

  • You are a new creation a saint in heavenly realms and can do all things through Christ carpenter. Much love:)

  • @SuperMercygrace Amen!!!! :)

  • Carpenter I should not have directed that comment at you but to all who follow Christ we should cover one another and not expose forgive me. 1 John 4:12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

  • @SuperMercygrace Not to worry about it, the Lord dwelt with me first on it. It's something that I'm working on and I know that victory is here and right now, I just need to realize it when I get in the flesh.

    God bless

  • Carpenter dont you know that loving your neighbor covers the entire law and that Jesus said you would know his disciples by thier love. Maybe we both should spend our time loving those who are different from us and not try to act like we have things right and everyone else is wrong. Lets both try to show our neighbor Gods unfailing love for them through us. I am guilty of this also i am not rebuking you just pointing you to Jesus.

  • @SuperMercygrace I understand, and I do appreciate you pointing this out. No excuses, but do want to say that the last few days have been extra hard on me, and I know that's no excuse. I am aware that my weakness comes through and am working on it with the Lord's help.

  • "I'll kill ya", a typical low character, cowardly, violent, bitter, and Jealous statement an anti-Mormon would say!

  • @EscapeNewJersey You don't believe that poison will kill? There is spiritual poison too, and it's been given to a lot of people, and many drink it down and take it in like candy. As long as it tastes good, that's all that matters.

You are so full of hate and anger, you have no room to talk about anything. If you were truly a spiritual Mormon you would have come to me in a different tone, but you're probably a jack mormon to begin with. One who defends the faith but doesn't live it..
