im a huge mgs fan i played mgs twin snakes mgs2 sons of liberty where you use raiden my favorite mgs3 i cleared that game like 5 times mgs portable ops for psp too and im waiting this one the last chapter of solid snake in my opinion i think solid snake will die with liquid in some really cool and dramatic way and then they will clone solid to make a new snake, well thats my opinion
i would buy a PS3 just for this game! Metal Gear is one of the best games ever! Just like Halo MGS will never be forgotten! It would be cool to have a young snake camo thing though....so everyone could have hope he won't die later on..
in MGS3 naked snake/snake, is shot in the eye and has to wear an eye patch on the RIGHT side (HIS RIGHT) but in this game, i have seen, he has it on his LEFT side? how come?
Also, if this game is set after MGS3 and 2, how come he dont have an eye patch in MGS2, sond of liberty?

I'm ending this. 1. the eypatch proves it's Big Boss. Also, the government couldn't give Liquid BB's remains in MGS1 because BB wasn't actually dead. Liquid died 7 times in MGS1, why can't BB do it too? 2. Look at the gun that "old snake" uses in the trailers. It's Eva's modified M19A11 pistol from MGS3. Don't believe me? check the trigger. 3. Snake didn't know CQC, the two people who DID know are dead. Any questions? or has my compilation of evidence proved this IS big boss?
1.The eye patch is on the opposite eye and its not an eye patch because he can see through it. 2.Liquid only died once, however is spirit does live on in Ocelot. 2.b.There are many different guns used in the MG series, how do you know the gun isn't different from the M19a11, how do you know he didn't get it off a soldier. 3.You're right Snake doesn't know CQC, but he does know CQB(close quarters battling). There isn't always a conspiracy in everything Kojima does for the game.

well if u played most of the games you would know this, a very common question that i hear is why is snake so old? In mg1 for the ps1 it explains because snake is a clone or copy of Big Boss his flesh/body ages and decays faster then that of a normal human. that is a possible reason and it cannot be BigBoss, BigBoss died when snake killed him in the metal gear for Nintendo back in the 1987 game.

Wow, ok. It's not MGS its Metal Gear. Metal Gear SOLID came in the transition to 3D. You don't really KNOW he's dead though, Snake also kills Big Boss in Metal Gear (the one before it) and he makes a return.. so who knows?

it isnt big boss. Simplist reason is it just isnt. The overlooked reason is Big Boss smokes Cigars, Solid Snake smokes cigarettes. The "Old Snake" in this game is clearly smoking cigerettes. Also in other trailers he is shown talking to Otacon.
Do you guys remember Revolver Ocelot asking for Big Boss' remains? Well maybe, like those Genome soldiers from MGS-1, Snake gets treatment from Big Boss' DNA. Perhaps this counters the aging process.

whenever this time perios is, people are still using the m14. what a great weapon. in the part where snake kills one of the two pmc's in the room, you see the other use an updated m14.
Snake is getting older due to a strong strain of the foxdie that naomi administered to him before he went to stop the insurgency at shadow moses. And i think it's good that snake is older. It shows that foremost Hideo is reflecting character development expertly which is crucial in a series that has such a critical plot. Also i think it's uber cool that all the voice actors are still in the series straight from playstation.
I think i know why snake looks so young at the end its just a camouflage in the mask he wears... hes geting older quicker cos he is a clone so with the camouflage suit why not just make himself look younger..... i could be/ most likely wrong but it makes sence haveing all this new technology is just making this game look better and better cant wait for it.

You would think that it would be alot easier to not getting caught in Metal Gear Solid 4, but however remember the very first trailer for MGS4, that states,"No where to hide." You can cleverly hide yourself, but what good is that if the spot you stay in get bombarded by bombs and explosions. Not to mention the numerious new metal gears and different fighting soldiers on the battlefield.

Yeah, I hear ya Stephen16. Man, I can't hardly wait until this game comes out! I mean, besides the fact I grew up on metal gear games. The storyline seems excellent and complex, and the graphics are simple stunning! I feel relieved that Assassin's Creed comes out next month, for I can have another great game to keep me entertained until Metal Gear Solid 4,Resident Evil 5, and Silent Hill 5 comes out.
I can see that females play a highly important role in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4 game. The Beauty and The Beast creatures are all female.The Frogs special forces are all female. The game re introduces old female characters: Eva, Meryl, and Niaomi Chambell. Even the new Metal gear walking tanks has feminine legs.
No it won't be coming out for the XBox 360. Kojima stated that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be a Playstation 3 exclusive. He did however stated that in the near future he would like to put out a multi-platform game.

in MGS2 it is 2007 and SOlid Snake is around his 30s, now in MGS4 its 2014 (9 year after shadow moses which was 2005) meaning Solid is around 40 and yes the cloning project had everything todo with his accelerated aging.

after about 10 pages of reading i said i would post.
to make a long story short, unless u are working on the game with kojima dont bother trying to make sense of the videos.
the only way u will find out the story behind this is to either complete the game or read some spoliers after it is relesed.
every mgs game from ps1-ps3 has had an air tight story line that u wont unsolve from just watching videos.

Snake is getting older due to a strong strain of the foxdie that naomi administered to him before he went to stop the insurgency at shadow moses. And i think it's good that snake is older. It shows that foremost Hideo is reflecting character development expertly which is crucial in a series that has such a critical plot. Also i think it's uber cool that all the voice actors are still in the series straight from playstation.

I think i know why snake looks so young at the end its just a camouflage in the mask he wears... hes geting older quicker cos he is a clone so with the camouflage suit why not just make himself look younger..... i could be/ most likely wrong but it makes sence haveing all this new technology is just making this game look better and better cant wait for it.

sleep grenades, the new invisible camo suit thing, the ability to play dead (and yes its been confirmed that you will be able to play dead). Its beginning to seem like not getting cought is going to get a lot easier in this one.

You would think that it would be alot easier to not getting caught in Metal Gear Solid 4, but however remember the very first trailer for MGS4, that states,"No where to hide." You can cleverly hide yourself, but what good is that if the spot you stay in get bombarded by bombs and explosions. Not to mention the numerious new metal gears and different fighting soldiers on the battlefield.

oh shit I forgot all about that the metal gears can see through your disguises and bullets now have a chance of traveling through cover. I heard that the team devoted seperate processing power just to the things going on inside the walls and shit.

Yeah, I hear ya Stephen16. Man, I can't hardly wait until this game comes out! I mean, besides the fact I grew up on metal gear games. The storyline seems excellent and complex, and the graphics are simple stunning! I feel relieved that Assassin's Creed comes out next month, for I can have another great game to keep me entertained until Metal Gear Solid 4,Resident Evil 5, and Silent Hill 5 comes out.

I can see that females play a highly important role in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4 game. The Beauty and The Beast creatures are all female.The Frogs special forces are all female. The game re introduces old female characters: Eva, Meryl, and Niaomi Chambell. Even the new Metal gear walking tanks has feminine legs.

No it won't be coming out for the XBox 360. Kojima stated that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be a Playstation 3 exclusive. He did however stated that in the near future he would like to put out a multi-platform game.

guess he really had 2 get old..i mean, he was at least 23-24 in Snake Eater n this was in 1964..up to Sons Of Liberty he was probably 30-33 at least,i dont think it has to do with the Enfant Terribles Project but maybe!

dude in MGS3 it was Big Boss and ge hwas like 35. and yeah it wa 1964
in MGS2 it is 2007 and SOlid Snake is around his 30s, now in MGS4 its 2014 (9 year after shadow moses which was 2005) meaning Solid is around 40 and yes the cloning project had everything todo with his accelerated aging.

this asshole on the IGN boards said that Halo 3 is more believeable then MGS. So to this guy aliens with technology to destroy galaxies and intergalactic wars is much more believable then wars on earth and every technology in MGS has a basis and some field of science or reality
