Dude that's nothing. Play a game with your speakers up mid way with the bass up, your curser will jump all over the place. I've tried every sensitivity setting their is, nothing will help the over priced mamba. I took mine back and got a death adder 3500. Been much happier.
if u have it all set at 400 then u might as weel use a standerd mouse sents ur not useing the full 5600? hmm i have the Lachesis with 4000 DPI and i use the full 4000 DPI everyday.
The stuttering isn't caused by slight movements while clicking. The problem has been solved with latest firmware and drivers, though. Great mouse. Not worth $130, though (I got mine for $30).
what a stupid shit, "the icon jumps when i click really fast, it has to be the mouse" pull your head out of your ass, it is your hand that is moving not a malfunction in the mouse. nice try, troll
I just bought this mouse yesterday and it is amazing, in all honesty i can't find a single flaw with it. It is just that amazing with its 1000hz polling, there is no lag in wired or more importantly wireless mode. I have owned countless wireless mice all promising lag free wireless gaming and this mouse is the only one that could handle lag free game play at high resolution sensitivity settings and from a distance i might add. Of course theres the price of $130 dollars but it is very high end.
is the mouse malfunctioning and looking down on your flick shots or is that how you do your flick shots? (pointless to flickshot like that since ur aiming at the floor and not at the person at the corner)
no i had this fucking mouse too. i had the same problem. sometime my mouse cursor went down when i was clicking. and sometime my mouse cursor went dont when i moved the mouse in any direction. after sending it back to amazon they gave me my money back and i bought roccat kone! for a forth of the price the cone is times better than the mamba!
"As soon as i start clicking quickly, it start making jumps" OFCOURSE it does when you click it QUICKLY because you got something in your hands called NERVES and when you overuse them, then you hand starts shaking a little, so ofcourse its not steady... Lolz
here is the deal when you press or move your fingers you tighten your muscles in your hand and there by creating a small friction which, makes the HIGH RESPONSIVE mouse like the Mamba or anyother mouse you can see that all the new gaming mice got the exact same problem to some degree, some more agressive then others, well you could try an OLDER USB port for the mouse but i doubt it will change anything at all if you think Razer shold fix this then you will end up with a LESS-RESPONSIVE version
the JUMPS are very anoing,in this video the jumps aren`t so visible couse the mouse is at 400 dpi and mine is at 1200 1800 .very annoing for everybody especialy for me. cs:s player.
I just bought this mouse yesterday and there are no "jumps" at all. I played every single game from Counter-Strike Source to Far Cry 2, to Crysis and WarCraft Frozen Throne Multiplayer which is very mouse intensive. I was even using the Wireless Mode. I tried repeatedly to make this mouse jump by click incredibly fast and at varying speeds and it didn't jump at all unless i moved my arm trying to click the mouse faster. The Mamba tracks better in wireless than most mice wired its that good.
could also happen because of the simple fact that as you move your finger, you are also moving the mouse. this will happen regardless of surface/mouse. also, if you are getting the "mouse jitters" its because of the silver ring around the laser. msg Razer support and tell them you are having the "mouse jitters" and they will send you (usually for free) the black teflon(sp) ring, it will fix that instantly, and no matter what surface or firmware/driver
I keep getting that cursor twitching thing. It's easier to see if you hold the mouse in one place and tap with two fingers on MB1. I also get thing where my mouse seems to 'reconnect' every now and then loosing communication for like 1 sec. Sometimes it seems like my mouse goes to a higher sense for a short period of time making me turn more than I'd like.. and no mouse acceleration here. :/ Still scratching my head.
2. U can have 5600 ! (iknow that it is way too much but, using so low is quite of a waste? I mean.. buy a less expensive mouse fro razer like the deathadder?
Nothing changes the fact that the battery life is a complete and utter JOKE. 12 hours of NON GAMING battery life.....come on now. Least Maximum PC finally called them on it , giving it a 7 out of 10.
Thats not the reason for any jitters. Strong laser through fabric, thats a new one. Here is why u dont use fabric pads with ANY laser mouse:
The reason is cuz when u put ur hand on the mouse (or press buttons) it causes a pressure change & the cloth pads angle changes, which will be interpreted as mouse movement.Something this fucktard reviewer here doesnt understand. His mouse is completely fine, its user error & in his head. I still laugh at how he thinks he can draw a straight line normally
holy fuck r u stupid,"it jumps"lol, do u know the DPI of that mouse???Shit when I click my WoW mouse with photoshop & a super slick mousepad like the eXactpad, it will move on you when u click. What u just showed is absolutely minimal & its USER ERROR. Yes take a bow, its all u. DUDE those lines ur trying to draw, there is a windows setting that is turned off with gaming mice 95% of the time to make gaming accurate.Google it, man r a softhead if u think u can draw a perfect line at that speed
the jumps from the clicking are because when you click you probably move the mouse a little bit also i guess its on high sensitivity so that is what makes the jumps visible
Dude, you're wasting about 80 dollars worth of your mouse. Set your mouse to 5600 dpi and divide your sensitivity in game by 14. You turn exactly the same speed but your tracking is 14 times as accurate as before.
When i saw this movie i tought u where just retarded and the mouse moved cause u moved it but didnt notice it urself... but honestly, i got the same mice now... its pure ownage... but i got the same shit as you... even worse, i dont have to click to get it ;) but i interpretere this as its from sound, or other vibrating stuff.. even the slightest thing makes it move (CPU, hand, ..)... its soooo sensitive... i got wrong pad for it... and i think the one i ordered is worse :'( ownage MAMBA! <3
MAYBE use 5600dpi and but in game 0.001 sensitivity :D you will get accurate mouse then, that is why razer makes high dpi mouses :D its one exsample for ppl ho aske why i need 5600dpi, because its fine if i use 800 :D
is the idea behind having such a high potential dpi setting like 4000 to keep the dpi high while putting sensitivity down to increase accuracy? I noticed he plays at 400, so ideally wouldnt this mamba be just like the deathadder since hes playing with low dpi and wired?
There's a silver lining under the mouse where it says 'precision laser sensor 5600DPI'. THAT ALONE is what is causing people to complain about the jittery cursor. It was the same problem/jitter with the lachesis until i took it off, and no more jitter. Email razer support and they will send you a teflon replacement ring FOR AROUND THE SENSOR and wallah problem solved.
You cant draw straight line because mouse predition is off. It has been turned off mouse drift control (aka prediction) Check the Deathadders latest firmware which turns that function off so you can draw straight line with DA anymore. According to me its not good. :p
I have this mouse. There no such thing as the problem stated in this video. I had the flickering, but i changed mousepad.. and now everything is cool. The pointer won't move a inch, even If i try to force the flickering a little. So it's really the use of right mousepad. hf =)
god you bought a mouse with 5600dpi and you are only using it at 400dpi??? try 2600dpi its perfect for FPS games as you can turn 180degrees to check for backstabbers in a flash
but if u get a very strate long box of a kind slide yur mouse side ways on that and it draws a perfect line i no becos i got this mouse as well and if u really onet to stop the woballing lol dunt really mind me thoow is u could put some extra taflong feet ech side a long the 3G senser stoping it bending in the middale
ya is just the distorshun on the mouse its bending in the middale ya and a nother thing as well wen u draw them lines the 3G lazer senser is actually extreemally acurate becos it reads ur every move no one can draw a perfect line free hand well the normale standerd mouseis u can becos thay very limited anguls were u move not acurate
its a big problem if you use a soft pad as every time you push down the button it pushes the mouse down slightly into the pad, this changes the z-axis to measure the lift off which then gets added into the x and y axis, so if ur aiming at somebodys head a long way off and u click, and the mouse moves, u miss. I only get it when I click hard because im on a hard pad, with a moderate dpi, if u used 5600 dpi on a soft pad its going to be unplayable. he only sees 1px movement because hes on 400dpi
This is more noticable on softer pads and on high dpi, i use a destructor and around 1500 and its only noticable if i click hard. to test and see the effect of this, hold your mouse steady and then lift it up as level as you can, the mouse cursor will move towards the bottom right, then when u move it down it goes back towards the top left. You will notice it does this in a linear way. Idealy the z-axis should not interfeer with x or y but it seems to, and until its fixed i wont buy this mouse.
I have a razer lachesis and I have the same issue, the problem isnt so much that the mouse moves when u tap quickly although this obviously can happen. The problem is that the lachesis and im guessing the mamba uses a z-axis to measure the lift off distance. the problem is it sends this data back along with the x and y, so when u push your mouse down its altering the distance between the sensor and the pad slightly which causes this effect. (continued next post)
I sent back the mouse so I don't currently have one to test. But no when the sensor is off it will not wobble but if the sensor is on and the mouse is completely stationary it will. Razer sent me an email that said lachesis has the same problem and they believe to have found a way to fix it.
the jumping is caused by the flat laser sensor on the mouse. because the sensor is flat on the mouse, it wobbles on the interior of the mouse when u click. there is the same problem on the lachesis. the only real solution is to open up the mouse and attatch a weight to hold down the laser sensor. most other mice dont have this problem because their laser sensor is angled, and the clicking doesnt cause it to move.
I have Lachesis and I have same problem when I click it jumps. Any idead how to do it on Lachesis. I mean attcing weight to hold sensor down for Lachesis. And thats why I bought deathadder and it snot as comfy for my hand as everyone says here and the shiny plastic gets hot when I play and my hands sweat too. So I use tape to cover that up. Thats different thing but I am asking it because he said Mamba is smaller than Deathadder. If you have Deathadder too will u please show compair both of 'em.
This is what I said ian. It's the Z-axis distance changing. which is used for lift-off, this info effects the x and y coordinates causing it to change the cursor position.
It should be the king of mice. I'm returning mine to Best Buy. The problem is the same as this video posters. The laser is not ideal. I'm using Razer's own Goliathus "control edition" pad and the Mamba is too sensitive. I tried different polling rates and DPI sensitivity. I also compared it directly to my Death Adder and the difference is night and day. It may be better on a hard surface but trying to click icons is a PITA. Even when I'm not touching it it moves a bit moments after I let it go.
The Mamba being too sensitive is not the problem because you can always adjust the sensitivity. I love this mouse but i hate the jumping crap. Also they are not selling mamba in Bestbuy....
So now I'm not telling the truth huh? Somebody better tell the UPS guy. Check at Bestbuy's online store and you'll get that hot collar feeling of being wrong on the web. Anyway, it's my observation that the laser is too sensitive or not seated properly at the factory, which causes the jitter and/or wobbles. My mouse my observation...
you probably moving your hand when you are clicking so fast and hard, cause if you look sometimes the mouse doesnt move when you are clicking, any mouse would do the same if you click that intense.
A good way (as a control for the experiment/testing) is to flip the mouse over (so it's not tracking) and just click fast. If it still jitters, it will more likely be some crazy issue that they would need to fix.
Otherwise, it seems just more like a sensitivity issue.
Dude that's nothing. Play a game with your speakers up mid way with the bass up, your curser will jump all over the place. I've tried every sensitivity setting their is, nothing will help the over priced mamba. I took mine back and got a death adder 3500. Been much happier.

lay4life 1 year ago
There are few things you can do to atleast minimize this effekt,
POLLING RATE: is how fast the Mouse it self will send the movements to the PC,
(Sensitivity in a small sense)
ACCELERATION: is how fast the courser will speed up after each pixel,
(Speed Control Each Pixel)
DPI: is how many Pixels the Courser will move each "Polling rate" you have sett
(1MHZ =1MS, 500Hz = half second, 125Hz = 1 second)
so: DPI 5600, Acceleration 1, Polling rate 125 = makes it Accurate, Slow, Less sensative,

the problem is eliminated in the latest driver and firmware updates.
u should do the updates.
the latest firmware jsut came out which i believe is 1.8.02.
and it really fixes all the mambas problems.
also the mamba has a very strong laser.
thats why i dont recomment u use it on cloth based mousepads cause it tracks tru the fabric very accurate which might cause jitters.
cyborg34572 2 years ago
Thats not the reason for any jitters. Strong laser through fabric, thats a new one. Here is why u dont use fabric pads with ANY laser mouse:
The reason is cuz when u put ur hand on the mouse (or press buttons) it causes a pressure change & the cloth pads angle changes, which will be interpreted as mouse movement.Something this fucktard reviewer here doesnt understand. the jumps things while clicking is caused by the silver thing sorrounding the laser beneath the mouse.

seems like this mouse isn't as good as many people hoped? I was thinking about buying it. But I don't think i will now...

the jumping is caused by the flat laser sensor on the mouse. because the sensor is flat on the mouse, it wobbles on the interior of the mouse when u click. there is the same problem on the lachesis. the only real solution is to open up the mouse and attatch a weight to hold down the laser sensor. most other mice dont have this problem because their laser sensor is angled, and the clicking doesnt cause it to move.

Maybe clicking fast is causing distance from mouse to pad to change. Barely lift mouse off pad and watch it shake like crazy.
ian993 2 years ago
This is what I said ian. It's the Z-axis distance changing. which is used for lift-off, this info effects the x and y coordinates causing it to change the cursor position.

It should be the king of mice. I'm returning mine to Best Buy. The problem is the same as this video posters. The laser is not ideal. I'm using Razer's own Goliathus "control edition" pad and the Mamba is too sensitive. I tried different polling rates and DPI sensitivity. I also compared it directly to my Death Adder and the difference is night and day. It may be better on a hard surface but trying to click icons is a PITA. Even when I'm not touching it it moves a bit moments after I let it go.
enicotinic 2 years ago
The Mamba being too sensitive is not the problem because you can always adjust the sensitivity. I love this mouse but i hate the jumping crap. Also they are not selling mamba in Bestbuy....

So now I'm not telling the truth huh? Somebody better tell the UPS guy. Check at Bestbuy's online store and you'll get that hot collar feeling of being wrong on the web. Anyway, it's my observation that the laser is too sensitive or not seated properly at the factory, which causes the jitter and/or wobbles. My mouse my observation...

My bad about the bestbuy :( I thought it was exclusive on razer website.

It's okay man.

I think it's because of the laser, my Deathadder does that too. ==" but when I use my MX518, it doesn't do that thing, or maybe your dpi settings?

you probably moving your hand when you are clicking so fast and hard, cause if you look sometimes the mouse doesnt move when you are clicking, any mouse would do the same if you click that intense.
muSashiSF 2 years ago
I would agree with this. You're most likely moving the mouse when you click. Maybe try picking it up and going at it that way?

A good way (as a control for the experiment/testing) is to flip the mouse over (so it's not tracking) and just click fast. If it still jitters, it will more likely be some crazy issue that they would need to fix.
Otherwise, it seems just more like a sensitivity issue.

hmm thats my theory out of the window.
Cause my Lachesis stops wobbling when its on a hard surface...
Anyway thanks for making the second review which answered my question.
