@Braithwaite1922 They didnt "lie". They made promises that they would've pursued if leading a majority government. They are in coalition so you cant expect everything. Also, Brian was very much against the governments decisions on tuition fees.
@Braithwaite1922 not all Lib Dems are "liars" and not all were supportive of the tuition fees rise. more right wing members like clegg hold most of the power within the party so what they say goes. many Lib Dems were against the rise and resisted. im a student whose gonna be affected by the rise, and i think the worst thing thats happened is everyone blaming the Lib Dems rather than the Conservatives. the Lib Dems are a scapegoat! dont fall for it!
@Braithwaite1922 they did! but like i said the ones in charge who make the final decision (clegg and his cronies) supported it. just because the lib dems who opposed werent able to stop it doesnt mean they didnt try. with so many issues in politics recently (NHS bill for example) there has been discontent within the party but the leader still pushed it through because they have the power.
and wtf politician talk. im 18. just cos i debate stuff doesnt mean im some wannabe politician
@Braithwaite1922 Lib Dems made promises for if they won the election. they didnt win. therefore it would be stupid to assume they are going to keep all their promises. im not pro Lib Dem but your ignorant attacks on them when you clearly have little idea of what actually happened are just annoying. i can only assume your about 12 and just repeating what you heard some older kids talking about
@nickster146146Apologies for the delay in replying, I have been working extra hours to pay the bills. Thanks for the wishes for a good night, but I realise that you don't mean it, because you are a FibDem Liar.
Now you FibDems have put the boot in on Child Benefits, How much lower are you going to stoop?
Lying is ok compared to what you're doing now, you Tory fucks
We hear you Brian - Shame that most residents of Lambeth dont give a toss about their local community and are quite happy to shit on their own doorstep and vote the same crap Labour local authority in time after time - They dont learn because they dont really care.
Like yourself (I presume), anyone with any soul ends up leaving Lambeth after years of trying to make a difference and being faced with repeated apathy and empty rhetoric on the part of the residents, the council and the police.
Brian's approach is refreshingly different - well done. Nothing like hard experience, and applying some imagination as to what does work. When I was in the Met 55 years ago, so much emphasis was placed on co-operation with the public.
Out of Brian, Boris and Ken I only feel that Brian is the guy to really understand crime and he would be the best to combat the riots if any occurred again.
@epdavies100 At their worst estimates, police cuts would only bring the numbers of front-line police down to 2003 levels, and from what I remember the streets weren't anarchy back then. Much like the military we should move away from simplifying the issue down to numbers, and how we can more effectively provide the services we expect from the police, and I'm afraid that putting more people in uniform is the most inefficient way of doing so, and I'd say that even in a time of economic plenty.
@20quid "police cuts would only bring the numbers of front-line police down to 2003 levels, and from what I remember the streets weren't anarchy back then."
But we didnt have the depression then that we have now.
@20quid If your so bothered then you name ways of improving policing, because the irritating Lib Dem in this video didn't. So it's pretty clear that the Lib Dems don't have any suggestions of improving policing.
@epdavies100 Freeing up officers from back office roles, improving deployment, using improvements in technology to put the right number of police where they are needed, making societal changes to reduce crime, and to get over our obsession with bobbys on the beat, as it is the least effective way of reducing crime rates. Take the military for example, many countries are abandoning conscripted armies for smaller, professional armies as they're more able to get the job done and more efficient.
@epdavies100 Once a neighbour of mine called that his bike was stolen and six patrol cars showed up. I asked why they needed such a heavy response and they said they had nothing better to do. Flooding the streets with police doesn't reduce crime, we need to tackle the causes of crime and develop a reasonable and proportional response to crime when it does happen. To put it simply, we need to look at the most efficient ways of providing prevention and reaction.
UKIP's manifesto promised huge tax cuts for the rich that would require MUCH bigger cuts to public services than we're currently seeing, police included.
I can't imagine lying as much as this lot do.
All politicians are liars, but to fuck up child benefits and education as much as Clegg's cronies do, is criminal.
Bang Clegg and his mates up in Wormwood Scrubs, please

Paddick is a FibDem. Lying through his teeth, just like the FibDems did on education in the general election.

@binstig You talk like a politician. Lies are lies. The FibDems are liars.
The FibDems made promises they would've pursued if leading a majority government???? That means they are liars.
Paddick was against tuition fees??? Liar.
FibDems are all liars. Can't wait to meet a campaigning FibDem in the street.

@nickster146146 Q: If there are FibDems who disagree with tuition fee rises, why didn't they do anything about it?
A: Because they are liars.
There's no escaping it, even through your politician talk

We could use someone with real life experience as London mayoral. This guy has a track record of making communities safer.
Ken and Boris are career politicians and totally out of touch with real life.

@epdavies100 UKIP? The party which is more right-wing than the Conservatives? Therefore would cut more than the Conservatives!
prigg88 2 months ago
@prigg88 One very big cut we could make is to stop sending £50million a day to Brussels.

Take it you didn't actually watch the video then.
It gave two suggestions:
1) Initiatives to get police working with communities, giving them more access to the information they need to tackle crime.
2) Restorative justice measures to reduce re-offending.
