I'm originally not from Holland but I've been living here since I was 7. Certain immigrants and people from postcolonial area's (not all of them!I repeat:not all of them) can't help nibbling on the fundamental values of this society because they are jealous and some self-proclaimed liberals credit them for their behaviour, I think. @cevapcicimaffia To be clear, the conversation was about dutch people and sharia courts. Read this slowly, sharia courts require NO adaptation of dutch law. They use existing laws only - the right arbitration. You clearly don't understand this. And as with Jewish arbitration tribunals, they can't jail you, punish you, or even force you to attend or do anything beyond what an ordinary arbitration tribunal or contract can do. If they coerce you, they break the law.

I'm originally not from Holland but I've been living here since I was 7. Certain immigrants and people from postcolonial area's (not all of them!I repeat:not all of them) can't help nibbling on the fundamental values of this society because they are jealous and some self-proclaimed liberals credit them for their behaviour, I think. I used to be one of these people because I was immigrant and most of my friends were. I'm ashamed of this period but now I love Holland and the people.

@cevapcicimaffia To be clear, the conversation was about dutch people and sharia courts. Read this slowly, sharia courts require NO adaptation of dutch law. They use existing laws only - the right arbitration. You clearly don't understand this. And as with Jewish arbitration tribunals, they can't jail you, punish you, or even force you to attend or do anything beyond what an ordinary arbitration tribunal or contract can do. If they coerce you, they break the law.

@LOLLIEGEEFMELOLLY In mijn ervaring weet ik dat het hier meevalt. Ik ben naar veel landen op reis geweest en heb zelf nog een andere westerse familie cultuur in mij behalve de Nederlandse.
Buiten dat, in enquêtes in verschillende landen blijkt dat maar 10% van de Nederlanders bezwaar zou hebben als er een homo naast hun zou wonen. In al de landen in de Europese unie, ligt dat veel hoger. In Turkije bijvoorbeeld 90%.
Buiten dat zijn is de media ook erg goed voor beeldvorming in Nederland.
