got a question for ya, will a 12volt 1.6 amp 35watt wall adapter power a 80's style Silvania Halogen dimable car light? (a large round reflector with Halogen bulb built in) I want to use it as a low power lamp, it turns on slowly with 12volts worth of D-cell batteries.
I just picked up a ezgo golf cart with 6 -110 minute at 75 amp batteries. I also have the 36 volt charger. Now I am trying to find vids on the "new format" censortube, for setting the system up for "off the grid".
Using 110v (the power grid) is cheaper in the long run. Your setup would be good for camping or power outages though. If you are going to keep those (non sealed) lead acid batteries in the house, you really should get an appropriate battery box.
hey i have a go cart and i want to hook up a radio to it the go cart has a 12 volt battery and i have no clue how to do it could you please tell me what to do
The vapor from the charging batteries is toxic and could be fatal. You need to put batteries in sealed box, vent them to outdoors, maybe dryer venting and hoses.
it's not toxic, hydrogen is already in the air, as well as oxygen. However, it is a fatal or serious hazard if you spark or light a flame nearby, as it could cause a serious explosion
Yes it is toxic when charging, and especially if the fluid level is low. Google "charging batteries toxic fumes" and the lead acid battery comes up first.

you can make distilled water for free using a dehumidifier
14gco 1 year ago
@14gco you should not drink dehumidifier or air conditioner water because of solder on the condenser coils

Why don't you use sealed batteries since you don't have a vented setup?
hekg 3 years ago
I would have gotten some Concord/Lifeline AGM batteries but they are expensive and I actually got the golf-cart batteries for free from a neighbor.
