  • Damn. Awesome song. My personal favourite from N Trance.

And the girl is hawt too.

  • who is the baldy fella at the start of the video??? he's deffo famous!

  • amazing song!

  • ققققققققققققق

  • Excellent track! One of my favourites from N-Trance :o) Have loved this track from day one. And they're not far wrong with the message in it ;)

  • FOOK OFF ITS NTRANCE AND THEY MADE CLASSIC UPLIFTING TUNES DURING 90S AND I OLOVE THIS ITS SICK EVEN NOW 2010 CHECK OUT ELECTRONIC PLEASURE

  • @MrEuro74 I agree with you my ex bought me the album Electronic Pleasure on CD just because at one time a friend of mine owned it when I was in h/s. This song though always stood out because it was like a warning for our generation. I mean look at where we are now? It's crazy and seems like it will never let up. Cheers mate and glad someone enjoys Ntrance as much as I do.

  • steven berkoff beverly hills cops 1

  • Great tune but why 1:13 of Steven Berkoff at the beginning? lol

  • @Joshkazid I think that was a massive coup for N-Trance getting Berkoff's but agree it sounds unbalanced but I think that is because this particular mix of it is too short.

  • fantastyczny glos wokalistki i sila jej glosu,po prostu swietne.

  • @JeanGrayDome LEXX , yaman!!

  • Like this stuff - arty. Right up my street!

  • Havent heard this in like nearly 10 years, daaaaamn flashbacks!!!

  • Ooooh, Steven Berkoff... ^^

  • how fit is she, damn i miss the 90's and my youth.

  • what is it about giving a creepy floating bald head a brittish accent that makes it that much more creepy?

  • No... it's not the fact that it's a floating head, nor is it the fact that he is bald, or the fact he has pointy ears, a british accent or scary eyes... He is creepy because he is

    STEVEN BERKOFF

  • @Kalcite Steven Berkoff is a class act and one heck a of a good actor.

  • not to mention the fact the name "n -trance" I believe was in reference to the term "in a trance" which they obviously shortened to " N trance" which was a savvy way of penning names for euro dance acts in the 1990s from what I recall. Hence 2 Unlimited or Reel 2 Real

  • @zombieumbrella It also can derive from entrance in the sense of the verb (from the wiktionary) 1. (transitive) To delight and fill with wonder. The children were immediately entranced by all the balloons. [quotations ▼] * 1996 — Disney, The Hunchback of Notre Dame " See the finest girl in France make an entrance to entrance..." 2. (transitive) To put into a trance

and of course the opening to another place....

  • @zombieumbrella Nice idea but I think "n-trance" is just a shortened way of saying "entrance". There was another rave band in the 90's called n-joi and they obviously meant for it to be pronounced "enjoy".

  • @Jarren202 Although the name is a play on words it has more to do with the verb "en-trance" - from the free online dictionary:en·trance 2 (n-trns)

    tr.v. en·tranced, en·tranc·ing, en·tranc·es

    1. To put into a trance.

    2. To fill with delight, wonder, or enchantment: a child who was entranced by a fairy tale. See Synonyms at charm, enrapture.

    ---------------------

Couple that with the broad genre of music they created i.e. Trance and it is quite clever and not as banal as some may think.

  • @simonxx386 Yes, that's what I said. Entrance.

  • From 3:45 my favourite part :-)

  • Ok, yeah, like really really really weird.

  • OMG for dance at my school i have to use this song o.o

  • This is not the full version

  • @TheNavigateur Correct this is the radio edit and the full version is around twice as long. There are also several remixes on the two CD set that was released for this tune. This song was originally meant as the title track for an album release - that has now been fulfilled albeit 11 yrs late! Unfortunately the album has been released as a download only but good value for around a fiver I think. :)

  • Well no it was on the "Happy Hour" album released in around 1998 I think

  • @TheNavigateur Yes it was included there as well.

  • Very very love this song!My lovely and sweet and great 90's - how much i miss you....... :) :)

  • how are they hippies? this song was wrote to comment on how destructive we were prior to the XY generation and how we are trying to reverse what destruction we have done. however what if the machines with artificial intelligence decided one day to turn on us and end mankind. the idea of that was the whole plot for for the terminator films.

  • No they are not hippies, that was just the set of costumes they decided on for that particular video - I know the band personally as one of the founder members is my brother. As to which is the 'best trance' band that is a matter of taste - all of those bands are superb in that genre and I don't rate any of them better than another as they all have something unique to contribute.

  • This is nothing like any 4 strings tune. Not a very good comparison really.

  • Omg thats Steven Berkoff at the start!!

  • I haven't heard this for so long!

Love it; I can't believe i've lost the single... there were some better mixes on it!

  • yeah i lost the single too was sooo gutted and i tryd downloading it and kant find it anywear and i do agree the 3rd track had the best mix

  • CD1 and CD2 of the original singles can be found on amazon quite cheaply.

  • Oh by the way N-Trance have a new facebook page where you can keep up to date with the latest news and also on MySpace but I believe the facebook page is the one with most details. Use "N-Trance" as the search string to find the pages and then weed through till you get to the official pages.

  • Well I have now confirmed that there were only two brand new tracks. The first "Free Running" has vocals by Jerome Stokes on it and the other new track "The Earth is Dying" is almost purely instrumental except for a sample of Steven Berkoff's voice saying "The Earth Is Dying". So the answer is no I'm afraid Kelly didn't feature on these two new tracks. Kelly has done vocals for at least 3 new tracks for N-Trance though and there is another album due very soon featuring these and possibly more.

  • As regards Kelly featuring on yet further tracks after the next album is released is more uncertain. Kelly has now officially left N-Trance due to conflicts with her already established solo career. N-Trance have now found a brand new female vocalist whom I haven't heard yet but I'm told she is a very talented singer and she will be touring with the band this year. Oh I didn't mention that did I - N-Trance are going to start doing live gigs again this year!!

  • Mind Of The Machine was originally meant as the title track for an ALBUM - sadly at the time they didn't put together quite enough track for a full album. Now for the good news - they have now completed the album and it is now available from itunes for download. There are two or three brand new tracks my favourite being "The Earth Is Dying" which despite the gloomy title represents N-Trance at their epic best. Another major album release is also immanent -N-Trance are reinventing themselves!

  • Do you know if Kelly sung on the other tacks they added to this album? She hasn't done anything recently on n-Trance's albums in the last few years. I miss the days when she sung for them. The other gals they have used to do the vocals are good too but I always loved Kelly's voice.

  • Sadly no there were only 2 brand new tracks required to complete the album ("Free Running" with vocals by Jerome Stokes and "The Earth Is Dying" which is mainly instrumental but does recycle some of Steven Berkoff's original vocals). Kelly has now officially left the band to concentrate on her solo carreer. N-Trance have now got a brand new singer called Lynsey although it may be another few months before anything is released with her vocals on it.

  • Lynsey has a strong voice and studio work is already underway. If you want to see her performing live then some live PA gigs are now beginning to come in - check out N-Trances MySpace and Facebook official pages for further info.

  • Awesome.

  • Ha, I seen o photo of Berkoff recently and thought how odd it was to see him with a lower body.LOL

  • i often wonder if this song was inspired by the commercial for the apple personal computer circa 1984? look at the commercial some time and ask yourself that.

  • N-Trance at their best.

  • reminds me of zordon from power rangers and story is told sounds something similiar to the girl from tomorrow follow up

  • 3:25+ Acid ftw!

Whole track is bangin' though =)

  • hardly....the song was a brilliant idea for n-trance. especially to come out with it at a time when techno-savy era was at its heigh-point. the intro alone tells all in my opinion.

  • sweeet got dis on cd from bak in da day...

  • best song ever, the greatest intro of all times!!!

  • everybody did play breakbeat and drum'n'bass in 1997!:)

  • It's a shame no one plays it anymore though... :(

  • \\{':'}// chooon

  • arg!!

    thats one scary floating head!!

  • Fucking tune deffo one of the best!

  • now this is quality ten times better than set you free that was crap

  • couldnt agree more although forever was good aswell.

  • well set you free and this single n-trance did are like comparing apples to oranges. this single i believe cemented n-trance into a catergory that most euro-dance artists hardly ever reach. it has a lot of the industrial elements that many artists in that catergory are inspired by.

  • TUNE!!!!
