DUDE! We all know the Hayabusa is faster! But it's just by a fraction. Overall Kawasaki is better. True the Hayabusa is a bit faster, but I am willing to sacrifice a little bit of speed to buy a better-looking superbike, and that's the Kawasaki.
@Joey74812 i have a 2004 hayabusa it hasnt been modded (engine) the gouvner was taken off otherwise stock i assume and does 175 at the end of 3rd gear would you say it had to be modded or no?
@Joey74812 so if its not a modded engine then i guess the gouvner really is off then isnt it? because it redlines at 11,000 rpm and the speed is at 175. as far as i know the only 2 major mods to it are full muzzy exhaust, and its lowered. it may be geared guess i should find out more about it huh?
If you go to the Suzuki website you'll find the horsepower, top speed, and gear ranges. Governed hayabusas from that year do around 143 mph in 3rd gear.
Busa and ZX are pretty even when stock,no mods needed by either bike to keep up with the other,it pretty much comes down to the rider when both bikes are stock because the performance numbers difference is negligible.
