  • waw he trains 6 days a week 8 hours a day!

  • Randy Coutures victory over Kevin Randleman,

see how quick it as stopped?

wonder how it would be if the

    Carwin vs Lesnar

    Silva vs. Sonnen

were stopped as quick, we would have two new UFC champs.

  • @MysteryXPerson granted il agreee the lesnar carwin fight shouldve been stopped, but the silva sonnen fight i disagree. I fight mma and the rule is we have intelligently defend ourselves. silva does that. he was throwin bows, and still movin. chael was in a "dominant" position, but as we saw that lead to him gettin choked ha

  • @martialartist048 It was probably the technique that Randy Couture used with his punches I'd assume. Technique makes everything and everyone punches differently too.

  • IDK, because that is where their stats are?

Why are apples red and green, and bananas yellow?

  • bas = fucking beast.

  • ummmm cuz bas is the shit?

  • its all about weight and rotation of the hips, and to give more power you can also use the shoulder to push and give even more strenght to the punch

  • like MIKE TYSON said, "IT'S ALL ABOUT D-Y-N-A-M-I-T-E!" first of all you got to HAVE the talent of striking power.. even without technique, but with inborn striking power.. combined with technique means D-Y-N-A-M-I-T-E!!!!

pro boxers like mike tyson is a killer... thats why they cant be transferred to MMA.. talented pro boxers in fist fighting are ONE PUNCH DEATHWISH IN LIGHTNING SPEED... agree??

  • disagree... you can keep your distance against a boxer and keep him at bay with leg kicks and when he gets frustrated clinch up with him... even Mike Tyson wasn't immune to getting clinched up. anytime a clinch happens, a grappler is safe and can remain there and work for a takedown

  • dont say bullshit, everybody can fight in mma if they want. if pro boxers dont try mma is because THEY ARE PRO BOXERS and not PRO MMA FIGHTERS. mma requires more consitioning and technique than boxe. mma figher is better in mma match. boxer is better in boxe match. that's all

  • weird. Bas' punch was almost 900lbs of force while Couture's was almost 500lbs even though he did boxing in the army. i know bas did kickboxing before, but is his technique that much better? not to mention he's been out of the scene for a while.

  • Well they do train pretty differntly. Bas is known for his power in his strikes but he isn't afraid to go to the ground even if it's not his favored place. Randy prefers the ground to standing even though he isn't afraid of either. So yes rany has trained boxing but not nearly to the extent of Bas kickingboxing, since Randy is dominately a wrestler. Plus I think Rand is Light heavy weight, Bas is Heavy weight. That may effect it too. Hope this helps you understand.

  • wikipedia says randy is 15 lb heavier and randy competes in both. bas is a small hw also

  • ah ok. So if it's not the weight then it's probably the technique and proficency that makes the difference between the two. (assuming the show was being unbiased but thats unlikely)

  • I dun really noe much abt MMA but do ppl in MMA use their knee to hit the guy's rib or side when he is down?

  • yes they can do that

  • Yes.

Some organisations have different rules but the vast majority of organisations allow knees to a ground opponent.

  • they hit however they feel fit.

  • some mma organizations dont allow ground kicks including knees

  • Thats why they call it MIXED martial arts...

  • People need to stop comparing MMA to traditional martial arts, street fighting and boxing. MMA is a completely different sport with techniques taken from other fighting styles and adapted. The majority of the katas in Ninjutsu, would be completely inefficient in the cage. Im sorry to dispel the myth of Ninjustsu as this ultimate fighting style but if you do any research on the topic you'll realize that it isn't. In ancient Ninjustsu unarmed combat played a very minimal role.

  • Fedor should be showing them what ground and pound impact really is

  • oh yeah id pay money to see that, or let Mark Hunt drop an assbomb on the dummy

  • they should only show fedor if their showing how to fight an easy fight

  • well it was a bit biased dont u think? they tested the boxer bit on just some guy that was a boxer, but they test the MMA on the world's best MMA fighters lol

  • did I said they tested 2 boxers? If yes my bad, it's worst, they tested 1 boxer to make that stupid question at 4:30. biased show.

  • the mma fighter is superior only due to his mass reservoir of different styles

the more styles you master the better you do

  • lol at 4:30 they have a questiion about "boxer punch", and that was after testing 2 boxer they were able to make an "official number called BOXER PUNCH". Typicall biased show just for the entertainment.

  • the guy whos talkin about ninja mma is talking about ninjutsu. You could consider ninjutsu to be extremely old school MMA, but I wont go too far into detail. Ive taken taekwondo when I was a kid, boxing in my teenage years, and now Im in ninjutsu. Personally I think a ninjutsu pro will massacre a MMA fighter because MMA fighters have the intent to hurt, where ninjutsu has the intent to kill. Take a look into Taijutsu, one of the arts covered in ninjutsu.

  • yeah a ninja style is used to kill it style would shurley take out a mma guy in short time and for the guy saying mma is superior think about it this way if there were'nt any of these traditional styles there would'nt be any mma

  • Have you seen the Ruas vs Jennum fight?

the king of streets vs a Ninja.

  • The MMA doesnt have much speed as the tradtional art like balance and flexibilty but they have power because they trained different types or styles of martial arts from tradional foundation but i still go for kungfu is like half half they got speed fight in grounds including at the air i had watched all fight science i go for traditional because have more skill not just in combat but also sneek attack like ninja MMA is like strategist game on the arena but ouside of arena is a differ story

  • everything is based on the person training the martial art.

    not the style.

  • MMA far superior to any traditional martial art.

  • i agree

  • Also the only guy who combines some serious grappling (even jiu jitsu) with shotokan karate is undefeated and i think that's very important. For me the combination of greco-roman or pancration with karate hits seems the best.

  • Ok. It's not believable to me that they punch harder than a HW pro boxer. I am saying that because we often see off guard full power punches at the head that will not knock down the opponent at an mma fight. Simply this would never happen to a boxing fight. A full power punch would knock almost any opponent down.

  • nah man you didnt see the right punches cause there is so many punches that knock everybody down, just sooo so many dude you cant generalise i also seen so many boxers take shots to the face and dance it out, you cant generalise

  • Interesting, now I'm not one of those who bash MMA saying its completely useless, I don't like it but I'll admit it is alright.

Anyways, for Randy he only punched with around 500 lbs but isn't it amazing that a Kung Fu practitioner who is half his size delivered around 600 lbs of force?

In Physics Force = Mass * Acceleration. So, the heavier the hitter the harder his hit should be right? Just goes to show you the technique of Kung Fu surpasses MMA. That's fact, look up the other fightscience.

  • true

  • Dude, you don't listen for shit. The narrator said 2000 pounds, from his knees. Where the fuck did you get 500 pounds of force from? Get your hearing checked.

  • 1:42-1:46

"Randy's stand up blow delivered 500 lbs of force"

My hearing is fine, you simply forgot this segment, were they had to have the control value before they could analyze the increase in force of the seated punch. Please be more polite in the future, before you make outlandish statements that are obviously wrong.

  • lol i like the way you were nice about it, it hurts more than getting angry and swearing. I do the same = smart

  • yeah i was kind of surprised there. I think they deflated the number to make his on the ground punches seem more impressive.

But regardless if a guy practices ANY type of strikign (such as Kungfu) and the other mostly does wrestling.. who do you think is gonna hit harder?

  • That doesnt mean anything. Randy is a wrestler. the kung fu guy has dedicated his life to striking so his technique will be better. i cant beleive how silly people are

  • i wish to see cung le's spinning backkick measured, it looks damn hard

  • That would be amazing. Bas's kick WAS INSANELY POWERFUL. Bas's punch same as a HW boxer. I wonder how Fedor's punch would rate.

  • Fedor punch=dummy spontaniously combusting

  • fedors stare= dummy coming alive and dying again

  • MMA fighters must be the best of the best. How do those guys move like that? And how can they generate & withstand so much?

  • lol, this must be a joke?

  • a my ty knee strike lol that guy so american 4:40

  • muay thai.

  • He knows. He meant that's how Fight Science has been saying it...pisses me off that they do that.

  • this is amazing

  • lol the crash dummy looks scared

  • Bas generates over 900lbs with a straight, and Randy only generates 500? wtf? Damn Bas... i wonder how powerful bas can g&p...

  • your right cuz bas love gnp
