I love both Brian Mcknight and Alicia Keys as artists. It is however extremely difficult to remake someone elses song and do it better than the original. Honestly I just look at it as a show of respect and admiration_i've only heard her version maybe once so I'd have to play it again to comment any further but knowing Alicia's style I'm sure she did it justice : )

Ok, This is true, that Alicia Keys did rock this song out, so stop hatin on the girl. She did do it justice, but honestly will never be as good as the Brian Mcknight version. He is just simply amazing, there is a point when original songs can't ever be outdone and even matched..... this is definitely one of them.

Brian McKnight is fundamental, folks. It's fantastic that we all have sincere opinions to which we're entitled, but that doesn't mean your opinion can't be sincerely wrong. Alicia can play and sing, and she's excellent but she didn't outdo McKnight on his own song. There are instances when it can be legitimately argued that a remake is better than the original -- this isn't one of them. C'mon now...
