Anyone else notice Eric has a wedding ring on? I guess she'd rather have him coming to bed smelling like hobby glue and gear oil than perfume and women.
Hey, Eric! Would you please make a review, and running on this Lionel 1776 U30C diesel locomotive? In (9:21). I might be buying one soon! I'm always searching videos on YouTube, and could not hear a demo of the sounds, features, and description of this engine. Thank you, Eric, Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday, and Happy New Year! It's 2012! LOL!
If someone had enough money they could make all of their backdrops LED screens to make the scenery come alive and look even more distant. Then the screen could also be used to show what the camera car is shooting, then the scenery would return once the camera car is stopped.
Great update Eric! everything is looking great! the walls and scenery in the Carolina room looks very realistic. The main room looks fantastic as well and I can't wait for the gp40 review because ive been wanting to see its features. Sweet video!
Hey Eric. Thanks for the video. Instantly puts me in a good mood to see anything involving Trains. Even after a rough day at work. Keep up the good work.
Hey Eric, great video as always. I'd like to comment on the Hallmark ornaments you mentioned early on, the NYC caboose and the AT&SF Warbonnet painted locomotive... Those are in fact N scale, so if you wanted to you could run them on an N scale layout. I should now this as I model in N scale myself. Lastly, I think your birthday is close to mine since it's close to Christmas as yours is. A question for you... Are you on Facebook?
@SeansOGR And does the mth zephyr have ps2. I saw one in Charles ro (my LHS) but I couldn't find it anywhere online or in a magazine. I know mth made a ps1 zephyr a while ago, the price tag had a not on it that said "hold for Jim" so perhaps the train store upgraded it to ps2 for him.
@Gustavflyer I think Lionel's fastback is a better product than MTH realtrax. It's designed better, easier to assemble and less problematic. Realtrax does best when used on a hard surface like a table where you can fasten it down. Fastrack does great on carpets or hard surfaces. It's just a better product overall. But that doesn't take anything away from the Christmas set. It's wonderful.
@esiegel76 I disagree, because the Lionel does not look as good. Atlas O is, with Gargraves the most realistic track and I think compromising on track looks is a poor choise when building a layout.
@shnimmuc I wasn't comparing Lionel and MTH track to Atlas or Gargraves. I was comparing MTH realtrax to Lionel fastrack. Given a choice between those two, I like fastback better.
@esiegel76 Thanks for the clarification. I`m afraid I am a snob when it comes to scale or near scale. I do not like tinplate or railking or Lionel non~scale toys.
@esiegel76 I was looking at your website and I saw you got the southern U30c. I hope you know that lionel made the wrong version. The real southern u30c was highhood. I was looking to buy this until I saw the photos of the prototype. Great video though and I'm looking forward to the reviews!
Great Work on the Layout Eric, really looking great...Can't wait for the signals video. Thanks for all that you do in model railroading, you really motivate us..
Layout looking terrific as always, Eric. You have ALOT of walls...I know a certain scenery store must be loving you! Was checking out that 4 engine lash you had goin on there around the 10 minute mark, too
Looking great. Very interested in the track signal tutorial. Still waiting for the camera car tutorial, what is the status of that one or did I miss it?
Wow Eric the layout is looking great!!!! Also like all the new Christmas and birthday gifts! I heard in there that you are a good customer of the Train Loft in Winston Salem N.C. Every Christmas when I am in N.C. we always take a trip to the Train Loft to visit Jeff and pick up a few presents for me! LOL! Maybe next year I will get myself an O-gauge Tin Plate train, they are gorgeous and look great under the tree! Anyways, thanks for the awesome video my friend and have a great one!
Really nice update Eric! I had to watch it two times in a row :-) I am a new subscriber to your channel and I have watch alot of your videos and I am really impressed!
I do not own any trains myself but I have decided that I will start collecting H0-scale trains.
Keep up the fantastic work and please keep us all updated on what happens on your layout and amazing collection.
Your layout is a beauty, as always, and its beauty is ever so much growing with each update video. Really great work here. I wish, I were able to see it in reality, but since I am from Europe, I cannot visit your Open House sessions.
Speaking of Europe, I am really looking forward to that european steam engine review that's coming up. As much as I love US trains, I am looking forward to what you'll be doing with "our" engines. Did the Railion engine already arrive as well?
I am glad you are making the tutorial video on signals. I'm literally just starting into the hobby and am clueless on most things. Your videos are extremely helpful and I thank you for sharing you knowledge on the hobby.
Great update Eric! I'm really excited to see your signal videos in the future. The Carolina room looks absolutely amazing. I'm always excited to see a new video of yours pop up. Keep up the great work! You inspire a lot of us
