@iwillwait @AFatGypsyFanny We were talking about his CURRENT setup, not the one in this video. This video is nearly 3 years old! In THIS video he's using a 19" K Custom Hybrid China (I actually have one too), but NOW he's using an 18" Oriental China Trash. And the splash IS a 9" K Custom Hybrid. There was a point where he was using a 10" ZXT Trashformer instead of the 12" Oriental China Trash (and alongside the 9" Hybrid Splash), but now he's back to the 12" China. The Hybrid Splash never left.

Wow, you people know nothing about cymbals.. he's using a 19" K custom hybrid china. but at warped tour, or any other tour, he uses his 18" oriental china. he doesn't have the mini china anymore, he has an 11" k trash splash. and those are 14" ( not exactly 14" though ) k custom hybrid hats.

Only the K Custom Hybrids have a brilliant finish near the center and a traditional finish on the outer portion. But in all his live playing, it's an 18" Oriental China Trash. @return2energiser sure, but then look at the technique when he gets into the first beat, its all arm, and when he fills too, he's not letting the rebound do any of the work, and theres no wrist movement with the crashes either. But yes his technique with the single stroke rolls on the snare is fine. It's just a personal preference, I have alot of friends who play like this too, I just think it looks awkward which can lead to awkward playing. I just like legato motions...like Hannes Grossman.

But Shannon Lucas, Brann Dailor, Derek Roddy, and George Kollias all look fine, if youre not too familiar with Hannes Grossman, then maybe youll know those other guys. Matt Halpern is another drummer with eye pleasing playing lol
