actually the solo isn't that bad, it's the rythm part thats not that good. A bit more variation wouldn't be bad. After all, the different chord- voicings where one of Jimi's trademarks right?
as a musician what i see is they took an amazing song and put there own touch onto it and there is nothing wrong with that, if you want to hear Jimi Hendrix play it, there is plenty of live Jimi Hendrix videos here on youtube.

ok i dont want to fall in line wit other dickheads on youtube, and as a guitar player i know what criticism feels like, so ill try be constructive. everything was great except the solo sounded more of a slash/zakk wylde solo, think of the hey joe solo as a slow blues song and make your solo work to fit that

the same notes over and over agin no soul in it.
Slow it down a bit some times less is more, and cool it on the wah pedal. Am a guitar player and I know sometimes when people go for the wah pedal in a solo they are covering up for boring/ lazy playing or tying to push the solo harder than what it is.
Disregard what people here say about your solos. I thought they KICKED ASS, and so did Jimi. Do you think Jimi copied anyone else? He had influences, but he was his own style of solos. Jimi would have approved! Keep on rockin!
dont think he was going for the hendrix solo he was prolly puting his own swing on the solo but i didnt feel it at all. think he needs to practice better phrasing his solo's iinstead of being stuck in the same pattern.

The cover was overall very good. The guitar was amazing, drums were good. The lyrics, completley failed; he said the right lyrics in the wrong parts. The tone of his voice wasn't really Hendrix, he was trying though. Solo was very nice, yet again not what Hendrix would have done. This song was a slow, even more mellow song of Jimi, he wouldn't have gone completely crazy with the solo, there are many live performances of this song where he stayes quite mellow, perhaps playing with his teeth.
The riffs from 2:40 and on, this player is a real proffessional - where o I find more of him? No stuff in YTUBE for electric lady band. GREAT, MAN, GREAT

ok i dont want to fall in line wit other dickheads on youtube, and as a guitar player i know what criticism feels like, so ill try be constructive. everything was great except the solo sounded more of a slash/zakk wylde solo, think of the hey joe solo as a slow blues song and make your solo work to fit that

Well it was a very good Effort just O.K. for me
However is it just me or dose the solo get boring real quick
the same notes over and over agin no soul in it.
Slow it down a bit some times less is more, and cool it on the wah pedal. Am a guitar player and I know sometimes when people go for the wah pedal in a solo they are covering up for boring/ lazy playing or tying to push the solo harder than what it is.

Disregard what people here say about your solos. I thought they KICKED ASS, and so did Jimi. Do you think Jimi copied anyone else? He had influences, but he was his own style of solos. Jimi would have approved! Keep on rockin!

dont think he was going for the hendrix solo he was prolly puting his own swing on the solo but i didnt feel it at all. think he needs to practice better phrasing his solo's iinstead of being stuck in the same pattern.

excellent playing, but cmon man, the solo just sounded like show-off bullshit. didnt capture the feel of a hendrix tune at all. not an epic fail, but a fail nonetheless. learn how to play without having to make everything about speed and stomping on the wah pedal

spot on...the guitar is actually very clean for most of the Hendrix version...got that classic Strat tone from the neck pick-up-then he rolls up the volume for the solo--control is the key...

The cover was overall very good. The guitar was amazing, drums were good. The lyrics, completley failed; he said the right lyrics in the wrong parts. The tone of his voice wasn't really Hendrix, he was trying though. Solo was very nice, yet again not what Hendrix would have done. This song was a slow, even more mellow song of Jimi, he wouldn't have gone completely crazy with the solo, there are many live performances of this song where he stayes quite mellow, perhaps playing with his teeth.
