  • Dame Sybil, was a beast (respectively) and so gracious. Bless her :)

  • of all the affectionate interviewees, this one is my favourite

  • Truth. It was much a man's world and she had her own production company was a model well before films, and spoke her own opinions. She never "sold" out. Many women did like her because she was a nice eperson and took her craft seriously. Cukor, for one,was a very difficult and not so nice director. John Huston was just plain mean. here we all are defending her 50 years later....she certainly paved the way for so many women and rights for employees of the studios.

  • Great person for telling it like it was & not falling in with the crowd on putting Marilyn down. Triple thumbs up for her.

  • Classy lady.

  • In all the documentaries I have seen or in anything I have read about her, the only people who seemed to have difficulties with her, were men. The majority of her female costars spoke very highly of her.

  • haha great for her!

  • @brwniez1 You rarely hear in documentaries people standing up for Marilyn like Sybil did here!

  • Really lovely. Good for her!

  • Dame Sybil Thorndike is a real lady.thanks
