@updablades i did run it in. apparently these engines are hard to tune. riot 2 is supposed to be easier.

but i had to get the battery and charger for the drill separately, which was a bit annoying. if you're good at pull starting leave it as it is - lugging everything around if the car stalls far away is annoying. The drill is quite big.

cheers. Yeah, i did and have since then tuned it properly. Also added venom speed meter, smart temp, and three speed gearbox. can do 60 mph

you need to let it warm up first. then if its stalling at top speed, you have it to lean

lower ur idle, make the low end needle slightly richer. top end seems lean enough, try not to push hard on the grass, cos that grass is one hell of a resistance to that engine.... if you really wana push hard on grass u have to richen ur top end slightly.

haha nicely said! ye it's true, people confuse toy grade rc cars with proper hobby grade cars. same with planes - you get indoor toy ones, but you also get massive 400mph jet-powered ones!!

im actually from kuwait but im british from my mums side i live in kuwit but we do have a house in north yorksher we live neer helmsly.funny mix of kuwity and english LOL oh and i have the mini inferno 09 great car very cheep and some what relyable very fast and its a 1/16 go's around 50 km/h do....yeah its cool

They're great cars it's hard to tell from the video whether its too rich or too lean take it to your local hobby shop they will help you set it up for a small fee.

excelent car!!!!, i dont now nothing about tuning the engine jeje, by the way i have a traxxas nitro sport, if you want oyu can see mi videos on mi profile!, the quality its pretty cool theres there are qualitys of videos that you can even see the car haha

lol its too lean there should be blue smoke coming out the exhaust look up tuning vids on youtuge i found them helpful

i realy do hope u broke the engine in before you full trottle it like tht or u could of done some serious damage i have one of these and there great fun if its cutting out at top speed you r running it to lean turn the high speed needle anticlock wise 1/8th at a time till it stops u will also see better speed

thanks for your help! i ran it on idle for about 3 tanks then started driving it slowly for another two. i'm definitely going to richen it up (though it's really strange that the high end needle is the default 2.5 turns clockwise and it still makes it run too lean)

i have indeed - strange thing actually - im using default manufacturers settings for the needles and yet i'm getting upto 260F! i've already burned out 2 glow plugs. you're right i should use the cover more.
