I know how that is, because back when I had my Nexus One I use to use so many different mods and ROMs but with my Vibrant I'm happy with it stock (leaked 2.1 update) for now. Never hurts to be safe, looks like you got apps for every problem you could imagine or enough to entertain a crowd LOL but no problem :-) Nice to see a girl who knows her tech.

You must have not been a Vibrant owner for long, because it most certainly does have a zoom feature on the camera. It's the volume buttons, try it ;-)
