2-speed or 3-speed transmission? A Japanese DMU of the same scale surely features one having 3 speeds. Newer models even have ZF-like 5-speed transmissions! Search for "Kiha E120" or "Kiha E130" and you can get videos of these two new DMU models used in the eastern part of Japan, not too far away from Tokyo capital. These feature ZF-like 5-speed transmissions. May sound amazing to you.
My first ride reminded me of the pacer's bloated cousin with a soft ride and bounce like a pacer. Better than the 158 crap that replaced them. For some weired reason i want a class 220/1/2 to change gear even though they are DEMU crap.
They don't really sound like 150s. The Cummins QSK19 engines are also used in Virgin Voyagers, but these sound rather different. It must be due to the exhaust. Pacers also use Cummins engines but they don't have the noisy 'raw' sound of 150s.
those cummins QSK19 sound amazin only thing that compares in my view is them 14 litre cummins engines on class 156's

It sounds nothing like a Class 150! A Class 185 engine is 350bhp more powerful per/vehicle! ;-)

Yes, because it uses the Cummins engine
