  • i prefer that song with dancing mood x)

  • I wish I could hear him sing some serious opera.

  • You Philly folks may recognize his shorter-haired,organ-playing alter ego,Larry Ferrari...

  • Gave us so much and so unappreciated in HIS LIFETIME. Just like Hurricane Smith

  • where are those clips of him younger from????

  • 1968-saw Tiny in N.Y. Open for some Big Rock acts . We, at First didnt know what to make of it and Of Course Laughed a bit. But He was very respected in The Rock and general music Business ;The Show was ,The Rascals ,headlining .Vanilla Fudge. The Hassles [unknown except locally,Billy Joel on key's] and The Vagrants [Leslie West of Mountain Fame ] It was quite a show :Later Tiny appeared on all the major Variety shows and with every Top Star of that Time ...He, Braved the Times w/ success...

  • nose

  • A beautiful recording by Paul Reller the Tampa Bay band, Clang.

  • he looks like tim burton :o

  • i dedicate this song for my girl...swoon

  • Remarkably the importance of Tiny Tim eludes most so-called music lovers. He was a one-man preservation society of American songs that were relevant to culture in a way popular music today could never be.

  • Wonderful Tiny! Thank you for this beautiful version of a Russ Columbo classic......

  • I love Tiny Tim more and mroe with every passing Video I see and hear of him!!! God bless him and his Family. I can only imagine Tiny Tim is sitting beside Jesus singing.. We can only hope

  • Beautiful, just beautiful. Poignant, gentle and sweet and lovely.

  • The way this song is played and sung, my throat develops a lump as my eyes begin to water.

    Thank you for posting this.

  • Yes He did have an amazing range...I think it was a General Electric.

  • Was he Russel Brand's real father?

  • @mgrelecki I'm pretty sure he is. =)

  • such a kind man. he was very soft spoken yet he had so much charisma. wish he was still with us

  • I love his version of this song. It's making me wet in the pants, my loins explode with delight.

  • He might not have been the best looking guy but he had a beautiful tone of voice and this song was made for him its delightful.

  • awesome! someone whos as ugly as me

  • Instant nostalgia. And I wasn't even there!

  • This is so incredibly intense... I really hope this CD will actually be released sometime.

    RIP Tiny Tim

  • It is intense . The cd has been available for a while.

  • @linguistmuz It was! Used copies available at Amazon. And if you don't mind mp3s, it can be purchased that way, too. (Amazon). I would love to see the DVD, though.

  • Sweet and Lovely.

  • He's so wonderful...

  • This is one of my favorite Tiny Tim tunes. Thank you for posting this video.

  • great

  • Brilliant.

The arrangement and playing and Tim's style get a wonderful period feel.

    V. different from Russ Columbo, but still beautiful.

  • Bravo!

  • Nice, really nice.

  • You can deffinately hear the Jewish heritage of TT in this, I'm refering to the way the violins are being played, absolutely beautiful. RIP Tiny Tim.

  • honey + black tea...

    a lil melancholic music...

who needs more ? ( i dont ^.^) ... tiny Tim is great...

even my lil sis loves his voice *.+

more young poeple should listen to this ..

  • Pure Class

  • I couldn't have said it better myself. You know Chris, you have this uncanny ability to say so much in such a minimal amount of words. I can learn so much from you,my friend. Thanks for your impeccable contribution in keeping Tiny's reputaion in a deservedly prim and proper manner. :)

    Pax,

    Max

  • In England we have a limited number of cultured and talented people who appreciate the finer things in life and I refer to these people as being pure class

Tiny Tim was a Gentleman and a connessure, mostly of peanut butter and honey.

  • "Peanut butter and honey"...oh,let's not go there again...LOL!

    In Deepest Gratitude,

    Max

  • it kinda made me sad seeing him old when hes dead..

  • snigger!....

  • Tiny Rules

  • Hello dear friends at Ponk Media. It's been over a year now and still no sign of this release. All of us Tiny Tim fans are still waiting. Any encouraging words at all.

  • As a Musicologist myself, all I can say is that Tiny Tim remains UNSURPASSED in this field of study. He is THE MASTER Musicologist.

    God Bless Tiny Tim!

    ~Max

  • I know the kindness, generosity, and happiness he gave to so many is being repaid to him a hundred fold in heaven right now. He is loved, and missed dearly.

  • Could this song be sung better ??........no.

    RIP Tim.

  • He did have a good range of voices!! from Falsetto to tenor. Miss him! I wonder how he would have done on american idol though

  • What an enigma Tiny was. He had a fantastic vocal range, his stage presence was almost hypnotic yet he had to resort to "the act" to get any recognition. Why, why oh why. Or did he just enjoy fooling people into thinking the act was for real ? as a sort of revenge on society for not recognising his undoubted talent.

  • no doubt ---- what a beautiful voice.....look at the old Uncle Floyd YouTube clips. I think you will see the real Tiny Tim on those clips.

  • GOLD

  • Tiny Tim was so f'n cool. I love all his music.

  • God Bless Tiny Tim.

  • Herbert Khoury/Tiny Tim was not an act -- he truly believed in what he did. He lead a highly sheltered life guided by his very religious, Lebanese Christian parents. Tim collected thousands of phonograph records from the 1910s-1930s and could do a credible impression of many past recording stars. He was a true flower child... gracious; generous to a fault; very naive; and ALWAYS OPTIMISTIC (at least until his parents died). He will always be remembered as an icon of 60s rock!

  • Actually, only his dad was Catholic (from Lebanon); his mother was Jewish (from Poland). He wasn't doing an impression of anyone - in his own mind, he believed that those old artist were possessing him. But I do agree with you in the fact that he was gracious, generous and naive. Surely his kindness and the happiness he gave others is being rpaid to him a hundred fold in heaven as we speak. :o)

  • WOW! THAT'S ACE!

  • Tiny Tim is truly amazing.

  • damn he was good. truly gifted.

  • What a nose!

  • Only three times.

  • cool video but no ukulele.

    to some serious ukulele

    click on the username above...

  • I thought this was going to be George Harrison's Sweet and Luvely -- that would make sense -- Harrison loved the Uke rhythms that Tiny re-popularized -- and Tiny was even on a Beatles' Christmas record ...

  • his voice is so soothing i love the vibrato its amazing i miss him

  • WOW I did'nt know Tiny Tim had a great voice like that he could have singed on Broadway.Like Phantom of the opera.

  • Artists are persons who teach the heart to see the world in a unique light. Their vocation is to transform the senses. Tiny was the Pagliacci of Pop. Tho he willingly donned the white- faced mask of the clown, beneath the minstrelsy breath a shaman of song.

  • I sense a revision brewing ...

  • If you notice, some scenes show hes reading off a paper, this was because he made so many lyrics and songs that he often scrapped many of them even after remembering them so he just read of paper.

  • What a singer --- and a nice person, too.

  • superb

  • I'm looking forward to the Ponk reissue of this album. The video collage accents the music nicely.

  • He was really an artist, wasn't he? So misunderstood. It seems like he was born 40 years after his time.

  • @tomasz1641 youve posted the same comment on about 8 of his videos... your just a thumbs whore

  • It's funny that you say this, because he didn't actually write this song! It's an old tune from the 20s or 30s.

  • Beautiful. It just transports you...

  • God, this is just the most beautiful, haunting vid. I always wish that just once Tiny could have gone on, say, the Carson show and done one straight like he does here. It would have blown a lot of minds. He was a great artist.

  • Thankyou for posting this beautiful video. There was always something extraordinary about Tiny Tim ,far and above his voice and appearance. How delicious to see him again, in such marvellous form!

  • How strange, sweet, and sad. His vibrato was so heavy it would bother my throat when I'd listen to it. Yet his delivery was SO heartfelt, his song transcended whatever vocal limitations and peculiarites he had. He was a real singer.

  • He had no limitations.

  • Great to see him again, he was a refreshing soul indeed!

  • The man had a voice and he knew had to use it. This video shows you how versatile his range was compared to his high pithed warbling on "Tiptoe Through The Tulips". TT I miss ya!

  • ...and ~you're~ certainly no genius.

  • A very powerful performance of this song. I've always loved the Keely Smith recording, but the Tim-Man has definitely made this his own!

  • I agree =]

  • What a lovely song. Tiny Tim had, beside his extraordinary personality, an excellent voice and a great talent for bringin' life to the old tunes.

  • There's plenty of sweet and lovely people on this earth. They just get pushed back by the ruthless people so you never see them. For instance I'm sweet and lovely. Now I hope you get stabbed in the kidney.

  • the video was done great to acompany the music, the very beatiful music.

  • Sweet and Lovely. Too many people don't think this way anymore. That's why songs aren't written like this anymore. Tiny was much more than "Tiptoe Through The Tulips".

  • beautiful =)

  • If you say that music is your life, than you'd have respect for this artist...

  • as a punk rock fan, you might be surprised to learn that Mr. Tim was a respected icon in the scene.

  • yeah, wasn't he working with Ism for a while? I have tiny next to subhumans and varukers on my ipod

  • well....im getting used to the voice and his range but the first few times i was like ughhhh

  • Oh, Totally! It's the pain that brought 'em in. Nobody understood this guy...ever... and that was part of the fun.

  • this isnt a bad song but teh living in the sunlight is the one that freaked me out a bit.......he does have a great voice...i just didnt listen the first time i was freaked out

  • People used to sing like this, this was what people used to listen to. Just because it isnt the music that is happening NOW doesnt mean it isnt beautiful music. The world did not begin the moment you were born.

  • i didnt like it the first time i heard it...and i listen to stuff from way before i was born so dont asume what i think

  • because tiny tim was a musical genius, and he sometimes had to sing falsetto to properly convey the message in the music.

  • An excellet example of Tiny Tim's perfection in both of his voices.

  • Wow...(speechless)...

  • Wow! He did a great job on that!

  • This was absolutely beautiful. I can't wait for the DVD!

  • gorgeous!!! thank you so much for posting!! love you tiny!!

  • I love this! Look forward to the DVD! ;)

  • OMG! *sighs* *melts* I'm adding this to my tribute site. (see my profile for the URL). :o)

  • ...and thanks for posting this WONDERFUL video of this WONDERFUL man! :o)

  • I think there's nobody who could've done this song as hauntingly beautiful as Tiny did! Wonderful!!!

  • Man, this is great. Prisoner of Love is one of my favorite TT albums. I'm so glad there is footage of the recording sessions. When is the dvd going to be released?

  • Hello, I'm glad that you are enjoying this video and the Prisoner of Love CD. it is going to be re-mastered and re-released soon. Unfortunately, this is the only footage from the sessions. Because the songs were recorded live, we could not video during the sessions. Still, there is lots of great Tiny that we took in the days before and after the sessions. The DVD will be very nice!

    Thanks again!!

  • @ponkmedia I am writing to you just to let you know that me and my Irish Lady are enjoying this very much and we are listening to it for the 4'th time. Many heartfelt thanks.

    ---Nikolai and Kathy

  • Glad to hear it's one of your favorites. Of all the many years of recording that Tiny did, this was his absolute favorite, claiming that everything else he ever did could be "thrown away"!
