I pulled a variation of Ernie's pulse joke on the nurse the last time I went to the doctor for a cholesterol checkup - she was having trouble finding my pulse, and I finally said, "Let me guess - either I have no pulse, or your watch is broken!!" - The funny thing was, she recognized the reference to this sketch!!
