however Nicole Richie is not. she walked away from that kind of life style and Joel helped her a hell of a lot. she really has become a better person. A sort of inspiration for some. Good Charlotte has been a major impact on my life. I remember hearing their first single from the 2nd album 'The Anthem' and realizing that it wasn't a crime to be different. They gave me the courage to be who I am today, different and be proud of it. When I went through a few really hard times, 'Hold On' literally saved me from the brink of death more than once.

It's bands like these who give kids the courage to face the world, and the sense to know they aren't alone.
