I'm a black woman. I struggle every day with being a lesbian but I also struggle being black. For me...being a black lesbian in the community I live in is like a double no. I just wish that people can become more open-minded about my lifestyle. I was in a relationship with a white woman for a while...she was actually my first love and her parents didn't like her hanging out with me because I am black and a bad influence, (even though I was at the top of my class).

I like this one since it's a unique story by promoting interracial love - normally tv shows or movies show lesbian or gay couple of the same race, but this one shows that whether you be straight, bi or homosexual, love goes beyond racial and national boundaries. In other words, race or nationality does not matter, but what comes from the heart is most important. It's a touching story.

I have never got to see this episode except for the ending part that I saw here on youtube. This looks like I would really love this episode because I am a lesbian and I can relate to these two!! This is so sad that even today people can't even love the person they love freely because of all the people who criticize them. never seen that one. But oh my goodness that nearly brought me to tears. It was so sad and yet kinda happy at the end when rose saw billie there at the park and then felt like it was all back to normal. She grew so old without her and then suddenly it was all erased.
