I just had my Speaking Test today. I've never been so nervous... x__x I messed up the most important part, part 3. I think my answer didn't make sense, although I made sure I used the appropriate words and correct grammar. It's just that... I think the interview thought it didn't make sense, or it's contradicting with what's generally accepted (I said women had more free time than men.. Most of my co-workers said men had more free time). Damn it was so hard... x__x Hope I get at least 6.5. *.*

dammit, i got a really difficult topic compared to thisone. I had to talk about what law I`d change in my district that would make people`s life better. It put me off, as i expected to get an easier theme. The guy before me got a topic like, "is there any mechanical thing in your house that tends to be out of order?" Therefore, I think IELTS is not always fair to the candidates.

@invokerzzz50 If you are not familiar with the topic, there is nothing wrong with beginning with, "To tell you the truth, I don't really know much about ...." However, you will then be expected to speak about something related to the topic for two minutes. Remember, it is an English test, not a test of your knowledge of IELTS topics.

Her accent is pretty good compare to other koreans. she doesn't seem to have korean hints in her english accent.

Ì noticed his question wasn't correct English. LOL. His question was "...WHO you like to meet" he should have said WHOM and he didn't say '' would' or 'you'd'.

@topseyu : Actually he did pronounce the words. Listen to it again and you'll find out that he made a contraction to his words.

rather than a famous person whom you'd like to meet.

I think this would go for about 5.5 -6, the most. Her hesitations were very obvious, and the content was not too substantial. The thought/idea was there but was not clearly and cohesively explained nor supported.

That's just what I think, of course.....

@sallyteacher Perhaps you are right in this case. This student actually took the exam a couple of years ago and was able to reach a 6.5 in Speaking.

No. You only get one topic and you don't have a choice. You can however, go a little off topic in your answer.
