I got my 07 while I was 37. My gf own one too. So yea have to agree woman drive'm too. Like them both. But the vette gets 31mpg at 75 mph. Which gets about 400 to 450 miles to a tank. So I'll stick with my 07 But the Vipers are damn sexy tho

@killshotnation this was the older gen SRT (3rd gen- 2003 to 2006/2007) which only had 500bhp. A better match for the ZR1 would be the 4th gen ones (2008-2010) these had the 600bhp motor which would be a better match for the ZR1..
@antman5394 Curb weight of 2009 zr1 3,340 lbs. Curb weight of 2008 srt-8 viper 3,460 lbs. Uhm not twice as light (only a 120lbs difference, a fat guy driving the zr1 would make up for that hahaha). 2009 Zr1 638HP/ 604 lb-ft torque. 2008 srt-8 600HP/560 lb·ft torque. Still would be a good race. A 640HP Viper ACR-X at 3300 pounds would be better, but I don't think these are available for the street(i.e. street legal).
If Dodge would just grow a pair and really tune that V10 it would be a monster. Even Chrysler can do better than 600bhp with a V10. If GM had a V10 they would unleash like 800bhp easy.
When the Viper first appeared on the seen it was by far America's fastest and most powerful production car. It won a number of international races too.
However, Dodge really got lazy and did very little to keep the Viper on top

screw the zr1 why not buy a z06 then put a supercharger or better yet a turbo in that and still save money the z06 and zr1 motor to motor the z06 is faster and has a bigger motor so with a turbo or supercharger in a z06 it will still be cheaper and faster

@killshotnation this was the older gen SRT (3rd gen- 2003 to 2006/2007) which only had 500bhp. A better match for the ZR1 would be the 4th gen ones (2008-2010) these had the 600bhp motor which would be a better match for the ZR1..

@antman5394 Curb weight of 2009 zr1 3,340 lbs. Curb weight of 2008 srt-8 viper 3,460 lbs. Uhm not twice as light (only a 120lbs difference, a fat guy driving the zr1 would make up for that hahaha). 2009 Zr1 638HP/ 604 lb-ft torque. 2008 srt-8 600HP/560 lb·ft torque. Still would be a good race. A 640HP Viper ACR-X at 3300 pounds would be better, but I don't think these are available for the street(i.e. street legal).

If Dodge would just grow a pair and really tune that V10 it would be a monster. Even Chrysler can do better than 600bhp with a V10. If GM had a V10 they would unleash like 800bhp easy.

However, Dodge really got lazy and did very little to keep the Viper on top
As you said, it has all the makings to produce around 800HP with Turbo's, intakes, port tunes, exhaust, etc.

Since I do most of my driving on streets and freeways, always with some asshole in front of me, my car will never be tested to its limits. So, what I have left is pride of people swarming around it at the valet, snapping pics. I've had 2 Vettes. Good cars, but just so common-looking.

I saw a ZR1 the other day and it was pretty damn epic. They look so plain until you see one in real life. Anyway, I don't buy into all that Hennessey Heffner, Lingenfelter, and all that other B.S. Anyone can pull more power out of their car but in the LeMans GT races where they are both under the same restrictions, the vette wins every time. That says it all about which one is a better overall package.

And Every site I've found with Viper sales reports claims not one Viper sold outside the US in 09.

GM made 16,956 Vettes in 2009 and 1415 of which were ZR1's for the entire world market. (AutoBlog)
Dodge sold ZERO VIPERS OUTSIDE THE US LAST YEAR HAHA.
While there was a wainting list for the ZR1 in Europe.
