Bountiful is good, but they are way over the top for a high school drill team. One of their routines this year is on stilts and they actually move around and do crazy things. It's amazing but really over the top. Kind of glad we're not competing against them this year.

This is obviously the best kick routine I've ever seen but the facials get annoying. Facials are good but it gets old if their mouths are gaping open almost the entire time. But this is still amazing.
I LOVE THIS! If our dance team did this I would totally be doing it instead of cheer. But what are the odds that what 40 girls all had ballet training? Amazing.

To be fair, if Bonneville cared half as much about Bountiful, as Bountiful does about them, they would need some serious psychological help. As it were, there is no one from Bonneville even commenting on this, so stop bringing them up all the time. Are you kidding me? Bonneville is an awesome team, as well as all the drill teams in the State of Utah. But their kick routine last year was not good at all. They were out of place, and everything was just wrong. The Bountiful Mandonelles definitely deserved the win, hence the fact that they were on POINTE the whole kick routine.
It's really hard for me to understand how someone would think bonneville should have beat them. Out of all of bonneville's 3 routines their kick was DEFINITELY the weakest. It was simple, boring and had no difficulty.
@grangerlancerdancer couldn't have said it better. Bonneville is a great team with great technique. But, you just can't beat a kick routine on pointe. No team has done it which is part of what makes it so special. Bountiful is lucky to have such a great coach and great dancers with good technique to do pointe. Last years team was full of dancers completely trained in ballet with most of them having 4+ years of pointe. As far turn out goes, this is a jazz styled pointe routine. Not everything-

@paysetter5 Compare Bonneville's routines to Bountiful's...as I've stated previously I do think that Bonneville was more cleaner in Dance, but other than that their routines just weren't as good as Bountiful's. Bonneville deserved 2nd, and they'll most likely get 2nd again this year. Next year it'll be a different ball game for them though with Hillcrest going to 4A. (P.S. When you go on pointe, you can't sink into the shoe, and a lot of the girls did in the kicks and transitions. also, wheres the turnout? if youre going to dress like a ballerina, dance like one. These girls are all beautiful dancers, i'm just saying that it almost offensive.
@ErinChannis They trained for months. I know that it takes years, but they are a drill team. Also, There was a couple of really turned out girls there that you could tell were already en pointe.
I'm sorry. I think that this is a great routine but it's kind of boring and slow for me. I understand the fact that they are on point and that it is difficult but I just wasn't as amazed as people made this routine out to be. The slow movement made it a little sloppy for me. The music was really bad.

This is a really awesome routine like some of the below comments said maybe just some really big smiles the facials are kind of distracting from what is otherwise an incredible dance.
