Getting Outside Halo 3 Maps: Insta-Death Spawn-Point Trick

Hmm i think it´s patched because ive tried it last year and it worked, and yesterday again and it didn´t...

Does anybody know a way how you can delete updates in a way that you are still allowed to play the heroic and legendary maps ? (like an half deleted update or if you dlete the patch and the mappacks and then redownload the mappacks or sth like that ??)

Because when i clear the cache and delete all updates you cant play dlc maps :(

And the ODST multiplayer disc is ´´patched´´ as well...

Wow. This is odd. I downloaded IMPULSE by Timelord (a MOD/tracker song from 1996). I got it from a dial-up BBS using an archaic DOS dialer program. I downloaded the song using Z-Transfer code/option no doubt.

It amazes me to find this song, almost 14 years later... on a Halo 3 video of all things. This song is really awesome. I love the beats, the kicks, the rhythm - especially at 2:15 in the video, thats when it really gets going.

I got it through BBSes back in the day also, undoubtedly using Z-modem transfer protocol (although X-modem was my favorite before that). My dialer was Telix, and most of the boards around here were WWIV or Renegades. I had my own WWIV board and had a mod/s3m file section ^_^ Timelord actually contacted me a few months ago in appreciation of me using his tune, and to report that he is working in an audio-related field these days.

I've consistently copied a mod-favorites folder (I highly favor "xtd" chiptunes) across multiple hard drive changes, back from when I had a 486DX/2 66mhz with a 25Fmb HDD. Bought my first 1.2gb Maxtor for $220 wholesale and decided I need always keep a copy of my favorite mods on any future hard drive switch ^_^ Thankfully Winamp still has support for them, which I used to make an mp3 version with a plugin, to make this audio background. Used a couple other mods for other videos ^_^

Wow!! TELIX!! Now its all coming back to me! I used Telix as well. I have lots of great old tunes in MOD format, going back as far as 1994. One of my favorite up-beat tunes is AMBIENT INTERLUDE by Replay. I tried to look up a lot of these old songs and their creators, nowhere to be found. They probably just tinkered with tracking software and didnt know the great talent that they had. We must share/swap mod files! I am very curious what other stuff you have. Thanks for the reply!

u can do the same in forge if u place 4 doors (on avalance) like a box if u look from it above then spaw the rest of the dorrs on the floor and put them to place at the start?-no the start new round and crouch in the box till thay spawn then it will push u under the map then go in to monitor mode then look a round ( its like a acid trip lol) add my gamer tag smilingemo kid =]

Not the kind you've got to open the box up to install. It's a "Dazzle 80" by Pinnacle. It's got a place to plug in the red-yellow-white cords, and then ends up on the other side as USB that you just plug in accordingly. The video shows up on the monitor and you just click record when you want to record. Only works on Win XP tho.

I've tried it briefly on the new mythic maps without success. The only one's I've got it to work on other than the ones in the video is the Pit, by placing a spawn point just over the edge of the top of the wall toward the back, to the right of the rockets hallway kinda above the barrels. Not on any others, though =/

sandbox is an easy one just go through the teleporter that takes you to the upper level and spawn a respawn point under the blue grid..it may take a couple of tries but it's easily doable...the only ones I havn't tried yet are orbital and assembly but you can do all the other ones

It's not really very much a secret, it would have had to have passed through dozens of people doublechecking the level for errors. They did this kind of thing in other places, and also did this a few times in Halo 2 also.

I think there is a different technique for sandtrap (since there is no drop-off kill zone) as I've seen videos of getting out of sandtrap before, but I don't know what they are =P

To get out of sandtrap you need to overload the map.

To do that you need to place all trip mines on the same spot, set the respawn point to 10 and tap X over and over again. All grav lifts and stuff like that is turned off, and the invisible walls is gone.

you can do the same for sandtrap but it requires you to overload the map first with the trip mine method then use teleporters to get youself to the very edge of the map then the method in the video to get your camera miles away.
