coalition of the 3 stooges would never win as one party if we went back to the ballots..lets try some transparency this time & see who'd get the majority...guaranteed conservatives would win
didn't see them on the ballot box as one party, hmmm anyone else? didn't think so, what they did was sneaky & underhanded. It was planned right after the election by snake layton & dummy Dion who then bribed Duseppe(god knows what they promised him)to join them..I say another election & this time let them be transparent about it..guaranteed they'll get their butts kicked!
the 3 stooges of parliament hill..what noble characters lmao..layton would sell his own mother to get power, Dion is weak & liberals are notorious for wasting/stealing tax $ & is about to get thrown out of his own party, Duseppe is just out for Quebec...yeah what a bunch of winners to lead Canada, they couldn't lead a dog around for god sakes...the only ones supporting them are the ones looking for hand outs ie UNION MEMBERS...all about self interest & not the majority of the ppl in Canada
I voted against the conservatives and I know MANY people that did. I also had to vote for a local government representative and I WANTED to vote conservative locally.. but that was overcast by the fact that Stephen Harper would be prime minister. That was just not something I could live with. We have a horrible system.
As a student of economics I cannot express my frustration that the leaders of Canada would throw away a sound economic plan in favor of frivilous and ineffective spending. Bay St. does not like this coalition, and THEY are the masters of the economy, not the government. What people on Bay St. do not like is probably bad for the economy, they have a vested interest in how it turns out. At the end of the day politicians just want more power.
Harper would not win a majority if another election were to occur, he might not even win the election at all. People would be very angry about another election and the Con's would be hurt by that.
I believe that voting should be grandfathered into our youth at the high school level. The voting age must be lowered to 16 or 17. Get the youth interested, spark debate and responsible dialogue. Remember that our youth will be our leaders one day.
In recent history there has only been two elections where a party received 50% of the popular vote - Mulroney in 1984 and Diefenbaker in 1958. Your argument makes no sense. Ganging up does not mean that any of them have a mandate from the people - it just means that they're a bunch of power-hungry assholes.
You claim to know history and yet you do not know how the parliamentary system work. History has nothing to do about this Coalition. It is about the legitimacy of this prsocess of Coalition and for anyone knows about Parliamentary DEMOCRACY they will understand and accept such political maneuvering.
POWER HUNGRY? You must be talking to Harper, where he tried to strip funding from the parties so that he can WIPE them all...I call that DICTATORSHIP and for anyone who
Let the libs, NDP and BQ have thier day in the sun, when thier coalition falls apart (sooner rather than later) they will have lost the vote in all English Canada (but Toronto) and they will have lost the federalist Quebec vote. This is very good news if you are conservative.
Am I the only one who can't stop laughing at this now in hindsight?

I'm not really in favor of a coalition government with a separatist party. I'm a conservative but I really think it's time to get rid of Harper.

There was a Stephen of priminister position
Who tried to bankrupt all of his opposition
Not knowing their plan to replace Tories, all
Proceeded to stab their backs with much gall
And now we await the fruit, oh foul sedition
