@shadownor well i cant say i ever served, i intend on and no that statistic comes strait from the CIA database. all i know is all i get from there and did you count the fact that the army has allot of transport, reconnaissance, and fighter aircraft as well? The navy has 6 carrier task forces and each carrier holds a hell of a lot of airplanes around 47 airplanes not including helicopters.. I'm not trying to demean the air force in any way but i was just putting it out there.

Marines are badass mother fuckers. Same as any Army or Air Force combat MOS. I have mad respect for the Marines in my BOLC class, and they know damn well to respect a Soldier with a tab on his soldier, and any serviceman for that matter.

@nexace Cool. Just seemed like there was some hating going on. My Dad was an Airborne Ranger, and my best friend is (or WAS he retired after 20 years) Army infantry. We don't care about what branch we were in. We both shed our blood for this country, and watched brothers and sisters die. I am a proud Marine, yes, but I have respect for all servicemen. So, mad respect to you, brother, good to know you.

@shadownor Thats good for you. I was trying to make a comparison. I have hopes to go to the Navy after I'm out of school, so I didn't want to bag on them. And making a comparison to the Marines and the Rangers is fruitless because they are both so incredibly tough.

@shadownor You know why? This is why. I respect our Army IMMENSELY! I wish to join the Navy, hopes for Naval Academy are high. My cousin is a Marine, and my friends dad is in the Coast Guard. The only guy I know who wants to be in the Air Force, and also one who has served, ARE PRICKS ABOUT BEING IN THE AIR FORCE! They think they're Gods because they've touched the heavens, but the branches are very equal. That is why I bag on the USAF.

@shadownor well i cant say i ever served, i intend on and no that statistic comes strait from the CIA database. all i know is all i get from there and did you count the fact that the army has allot of transport, reconnaissance, and fighter aircraft as well? The navy has 6 carrier task forces and each carrier holds a hell of a lot of airplanes around 47 airplanes not including helicopters.. I'm not trying to demean the air force in any way but i was just putting it out there.

I'm not putting down anyone else by saying that the USAF controls 2/3 of the stategic triad and delivers MOST of the fuel, bombs, troops and ammo. If they didn't, you might have a gripe.
