  • Is the kit at 0:45 the one Chad Wackerman played during the drum battle with Terry Bozzio?

  • @IanTheDinosaur Pretty close to his Chad's type of set up but that is not the exact set up. :)

  • @DrumWorkshopInc Where did you guys even film that battle? That was a huge room

  • @IanTheDinosaur An undisclosed secret theater...

  • @DrumWorkshopInc So secretive! Was it the drum channel room? haha

  • @IanTheDinosaur Ok already. :) It was filmed at Center Staging in Burbank, CA. They have some massive rehearsal rooms. It's also where we filmed our Performance Series Press conference and the Performance artist videos.

  • @DrumWorkshopInc You guys are the coolest!

  • @IanTheDinosaur Nah you are the coolest. We are nothing without our fans and friends!

  • @DrumWorkshopInc And you make everyone feel so awesome too!

  • @IanTheDinosaur Thanks! We feel excellent with you guys letting us know how feel about our videos and gear. :)

  • 3:02 HOLY SHIT That IS my drum kit.. that exact one . they just switched the hardware to Crome when i bought it.. watch my vid if u dont believe me

  • @FuckinMetal3694 that's awesome! nice kit ;)

  • @FuckinMetal3694 Yep, I watched your vid and that is your kit. Do you plan on learning how to play it anytime soon? Also, drop that cocky attitude of yours.

  • @XxStrongDrums1996xX awh umad bro? i understand u are ;) its all good . be jealous im meeting Korn and i get to play drums on stage for them ;)

    btw, Fuck you

  • @FuckinMetal3694 Dude, I'm not trying to make you feel like shit or anything, but your skills are no where near competent with your attitude. You literally have "I am amazing at drums" posted in your channel description. Also, I'm not really that jealous that you are meeting Korn and playing with them. They're cool and all, but I'm not a big fan.

  • @XxStrongDrums1996xX i dont have the time to comment but you are jealous thats why you keep commenting. like dude, im putting more vids up this weekend and there gonna be so good your mother pussy will be so wet from them ;) dont be MAD ! please, do your self a little favor, go FUCK YOURSELF xD ..

i love this lmao.. comment back tough guy . you got nothing else to do. u dont even have a drum kit i bet you mother fuckeer

  • @FuckinMetal3694 Jealousy has nothing to do with the fact that I keep commenting. Am I jealous of your kit? Of course I am, it's fucking sick, but I'm not jealous of anything else, so it's an irrelevant idea, stop bringing it up. Also, I find it humiliating that you resort to the usual comeback of "I bet you don't even have a drum kit". If you want to comment on my credentials, then you should at least look at my channel. Have fun basking in your stupidity.

  • @FuckinMetal3694 You should also realize that you are bringing this conversation beyond what it should be, as I am not talking about wet pussy, jealousy, or whether or not we both play drums. I'm talking about the fact that you are a cocky fucker who doesn't have the skills to back it up. You've got a bad attitude, which is just depressing to see in a drummer. No one cares how good you are, people just care that you play. If you play, then you carry on the drumming spirit.

  • @XxStrongDrums1996xX i can play anything on drums , see you dont fucking know me bro. you need to die

  • @FuckinMetal3694 :/ upload a video of Steve Gadd's crazy army then.

  • Why did you guys discontinue the PDP Platinums?!

  • @ParsoProductions they have not actually been discontinued, but the production had been temporarily suspended since we closed our Mexico facility. But look for something special in the Platinum Series for our 40th anniversary ;)

  • dw and sjc r the best

  • can u put up a store in the philippines?

  • @maxinodavid we actually already have a dealer in the Philippines :) Here's the information:

    Lyric Piano & Organ Corp.

    80 Horseshoe Dr

    Cor. N. Domingo

    1112 New Manila, Quezon City

    Phone:011-632-433-2676

    Fax: 011-632-726-8074

You can find the same information using the Dealer Locator at dwdrums(dot)com

  • @DrumWorkshopInc Is it possible to get a STM Tom Mount for a PDP M5 14" Tom?

  • It IS possible. You could order one from any Authorized DW/PDP Dealer, or if you live in the U.S. you can contact our online sales manager Jon at jond@dwdrums(dot)com, and he'll get you what you need.

  • @svante1991 definitely no shortage of exotic wood in that room. sorry...it was too easy ;)

  • wauuuuuuuu esas baterias son increibles como quisiera tener una son bien caras aca en ecuador ay muy pocas

  • The Kit with the 24K gold hardware, is that the Camphor Burl veneer or Mapa Burl?? . If not what is it? Is it in a natural Lacquer Finish?? Great Video!! When does the 2011 video tour come out??

  • @LiveInStereodc That is Camphor Burl with clear lacquer indeed. New showroom video by the end of March...hopefully ;)

  • Hello! I really need the help of the DW. I bought a beautiful DW, finishing Graphics Silver Red Rally, serial number E348362 produced in January 2008. The drum was sent by FedEx to Brazil coming up with the hoops kick drum broken, need new rims (hoops) may I sell separately?! Is my only solution!!! Thanks!

  • @pauleraz forgive me, I'm a little confused as to exactly what your situation is, but our Customer Service department is very helpful and should be able to give you a solution. Please contact them at CustomerService@DWdrums.com or 1-800-45-DRUMS

You will need to know the SO number, which is a 6 digit number stamped on the inside of the drum shell.

There should be no problem with you ordering new hoops to match your drums. If you got them new from us broken, we will certainly replace them.

  • What is the configuration of the Mitch Mitchell kit?

  • @bryten54 the Mitch Kit is:

    9x13

    16x16

    14x24

    5x14

    (depth x diameter)

  • is that really 24 k gold??

  • @MeXiCaNrEVa7x Indeed the hardware is plated in real 24 karat gold. If it was pure 24k gold, the stand would be bendable and very expensive ;)

  • Is it possible to purchase a drum kit that has the same finish and configuration as the Mitch Mitchell Kit?

  • @bryten54 it is certainly possible. The sizes are no problem, but the finish was a "one-off" we did special for Mitch. That's not to say we couldn't do it for you. It's a Ducco Gold to Black Lacquer Specialty.

  • What's the song playing at 2:13?

  • Lol does anyone else love the random ass mastodon?

  • omfg i want to play them all !!

  • with the 9000 series tome and cymbal stand how low can you get the boom arm, because i like my crashes really low and it looks like it cant adjust very low for that option.

  • Curt is awesome!!!

  • DW is thee shit.

  • You could probably trade all the drumkits in there for a small country!

  • fucking right candy land , yeah baby !

  • I've dealt with two dw's, a classic and the eco-x. Neither of them were anything special. The classic, which my friend ordered, was scratched right out of the box. The lugs were cheap, and the bass drum hoop wasn't fitted properly so it was rickety when played. The drums didn't sound great, they were good, but again, for something so expensive, they should've sounded amazing. The 800 hardware was even worse, his pedal broke after a month.

    Completely overpriced and overrated.

  • I know what the secret shells are, I've tried them!

Sound totally amazing! Hopefully, not too expensive...

John G asked if I wanted to buy a kit... They were stamped as regular Collectors, but no...

  • i want to know how much is the jazz séries

  • @mogloh because Jazz Series is a Custom line of drums, there is not one price I can quote you. They are very similarly priced to Collector's Series. I suggest you contact your nearest dealer using the Dealer Locator on our website, tell them the sizes you're interested in, and they can give you the most accurate quote. thanks!

  • @DrumWorkshopInc but can you make an average, because i,m looking for a new drum and i want to know if its affordable

  • @mogloh it's actually exactly the same pricing as Collector's Series. A 4-piece will cost about $3K to $5K for a 5 piece kit. Prices depend on size and finish, and every dealer's pricing is slightly different. Sorry I can't give you any more specific price, but we do not sell direct, so we don't set the actual sale price. Thanks for your interest in our drums though! We hope to make you a kit soon ;)

  • @DrumWorkshopInc i want to know how much a pdp platinum costs cause i really like the looks of it

  • they r some nice freaking drum kits

  • nice mastodon in the background

  • i almost bought th 2nd twisted kit

  • 0:50, the secret drums. Are those the Eco-X?

  • @Salzcamino nope. it is a very unique shell type though. so you're on the right track ;)

  • @DrumWorkshopInc Poplar shell???, a cheaper wood. Is this the series that is supposed to be coming out at the end of summer 2010? supposed to be an affordable DW kit, that i am counting on your word

  • @scott111193 all-maple. Unique as far as it's SSC (grain orientation) ;)

  • Actually, the quality control over at DW is horrible! I custom ordered a black laquer Collector Series kit with all black mounting hardware. The laquer on the bass drum and ten inch tom was puddled and literally had runs in them! The black powder coating on the rims and lugs had shallow spots and air bubbles around the entire kit! I sent it back and after two months they sent another one. Pearl, Tama or Yamaha would never let their stuff leave the factory looking like that!

  • @justentime77 we're really sorry to hear this. it's hard to believe. All we can say is that we have a dedicated person who carefully inspects every kit under bright lights before it get's put in a box and shipped out. We agree, 2 months for a replacement is absurd, especially after waiting so long for the drums to be made in the first place. Our customer service dept. is also top notch, and should be notified immediately when something like this happens.

  • @DrumWorkshopInc It may have been a fluke or a disgruntled employee....who knows? It was quite awhile ago (2003) and I should probably add that once the corrections were made the kit couldn't had been nicer and is still in showroom condition!

  • places like this that make me wanna live in california so badly..

  • god i love dw drums and cant wait for mine to show up. im getting some collectors in super tangerine glass 1 up 2 down and want em now :P.

also if dw really is custom how comes classics are only offered in finish ply finishes? surely the customer can get anything, i think classics would be more classy with a satin finish

  • Comment removed

  • 2:02 what is that bass drum extentension and how does it work?

P.s. I'm not a drummer. I've just never seen that sort of thing before, it looks interesting

  • Good question! That's what we call a "Woofer" and it attaches to a kick drum with what we call "Doobie Bars." Seriously. We make all woofers with an internal mic system (built into the drum), so the idea is that you plug the drum in and it resonates from the energy of the kick, producing a super low and full sub-woofer sound without the sharp attack of the beater hitting the head. It sounds groovy :)

  • i haz a 23" n_n

  • The ballad snare isn't in 12X16" but 10X16" Curt!!!

Tomorow I will receve mine :p

  • theres a pdp at 5:34

  • PDP is owned by DW :p

  • i want to be there, steal all drums, sell it and then buy a truth kit LOL

  • haha sorta stupid idea cuz u only need like 2 kits for that lol but id actually stick with dw over truth... dw has so much thought into the drums and even shell configuration is different.. watch the vid of ssc part one and 2 on this channel

  • @xloserkid182 win. lol

  • where is price list :D

  • just a little tip for future videos...maybe we could actually see this guy um....PLAY THE DRUMS!!!!

    talk, talk, talk.....

  • it would be awsome if you guys could have Terrys kit in there!

    (if it can fit)

  • i agree. jimmy was incredible and made a huge impact on your company and its customers. he is most likely responsible for 1/5 of your clientel and he diserves some kind of respect for that.

  • thank you for your suggestion. The loss of Jimmy has definitely left a void in all our hearts. He was a great drummer and a great person. see the reply below for a link to our news article. All due respect.

  • you people at dw should have a press release sending your condolences to the late jimmy "the rev" sullivan. he was one of dw's best drummers, and have his kit possibly even in the showroom. jimmy was the one who got me into dw, and because of him i refuse anything less than dw.

  • 'terry bozzios poster makes your snare sound better' lol

  • curt is such a legend, he one of favourite drummers to listen to at the moment, he has so much feel and groove and really plays the drums with musicality. i love that.

  • Im in love, no joke

i hope ill be able to come there some day.

    wow!

  • I want to go to that place.

  • I recommend going to this toy factory. I got to see the shells for Neil Peart's electronic pads being made. Its the most wonderful place on earth. Better than Santa's workshop.

  • i hope i get to come here someday!!!

  • dw ecox great sound bamboo birch

  • this makes me want to take a vacation to california and check it out! i love the blue to natural one. What are those on the drum heads? are they dampers?

  • can i play the drums their

  • we encourage it!

  • will ya'll fly me out from SC to check it out... i am looking at ordering a custom in march....

  • What series is the Mitch Mitchell kit? Jazz or classics? I couldn't spot the badge. Also, what finish is it in? Thank you very much, huge fan.

  • Classics. That was a custom finish. Currently, we only offer Classics in FinishPly wraps, but that may change very soon ;) Afterall, DW means Custom!

  • man i`ll never afford a dw kit :( , ride across the ocean , lies a very very heavy drum land called istanbul.

  • Can I get a Woot Woot for a little Umphrey's McGee there at the end? Even though Kris Myers plays Pearl.

I've had my collector's series kit for about a year and a half and I love it! Can't wait to visit the show room.

  • WOOT!

Nice catch ;) I guess I'm busted then.

    We're here waiting for ya!

Thanks for the love and support.

  • DW 20" bass drums do sound pretty killer live but they tend to lack the lowend punch inthe studio. That's not just a DW thing though, I think it's more of a small bass drum thing.

  • god i could live there

  • Almost any drummer could, I love dw, but knowing them, you'de go broke just moving in!

  • lol oh i know

  • oh a day in there playing those kits would be amazing.

  • what up kirkee b... :) the mitch kit is amazing! i bow down wichoo indeedeee...

  • Do DW make 12''x8'' rack toms and 22''x20'' bass drums for standard? or if someone wanted those sizes on a kit would they need to be custom ordered? thanks

  • DW kits are all custom. If you want a kit they make it just for you so there's no real "standard" size for DW drums. It takes about 6 weeks for them to make it though so keep that in mind if you want to order one.

  • yeah. if ive ever managed to save up the money for a custom dw kit i wouldnt mind if i waited a year. aslong as it arrived in the complete perfect way to what i asked. and by standard i meant like if you look at dw dealers most of the kits are basic 5 piece setup with the 22x18 bd and 12x9 rack toms. i havent seen any with the sizes in my previous comment.

  • The reason most DW kits you see at stores are those sizes is because the stores try to go with generic sizes when ordering them so they sell faster.

I would recommend you NOT to get a 22x20 kick. If you want a big sound go 24x14 or something of the like, deep kick drums = no go.

  • I like the 22x20 because it has the pounding sound more than a deep boomy sound. 24's are too big for me, which means that hte toms will be alot higher. i like my toms to be low but also over the bass drums. ive tried the 20's but they are too small. so 22 is the best for me. so to make it more pounding im gona go for the deeper shell.

  • thumbs up at your name. the rev is amazing

  • And lovely it is too Curt...hehe. Would love to go there and play those amazing kits.

  • I really want to go there. I love the classic kit. :)

  • the second kit was something words cant describe

  • hello DrumWorkshopInc. just wondering what happens to the kits in this video once they've served their time in the showroom being tested out by everyone?? i would buy a classics kit new but i dont have the cash. i'm constantly hunting for one with the same spec second hand...the vintage marine pearl is a winner too.!

  • they get sold! ;)

  • stick my name down on that classics kit then. give us a shout when you're finished with it!

  • I've been to the factory twice..it's a good time. The first time I went, there was'nt a whole lot of drums in the showroom. They said since NAMM just happened , they used a lot of what was in the showroom for their displays and were getting them set back up. The second time ,it was just like this video. I'm lucky to own my DW kit and snares...they're great drums.

  • Will someone @ DW go tell shon smith to get a hold of Scott B. in Simi!

  • Simi Valley?

I used to live there when I was younger.

  • Why didn't Curt play any of the drums? I would love to hear them... Show those beauties off lets hear 'em sing. :-D

  • duly noted pimpleburger. That sort of thing is coming soon for sure!

  • what is private reserve wood?

  • Private Reserve Wood is extremely rare wood that we have gotten our hands on. There is a limited quantity, and it is sold at "market price" (just like fine lobster!haha).

We currently off 2 Private reserve woods:

    Quilted Maple and Waterfall Bubinga.

    Get em while you can!!!

  • what is the name of the finish for the last drumkit Curt is talking about, the ebony one, its something like a transparent black, its beautiful. Im looking to buy a dw set but i have a max budget of 3,500.

  • good luck lol

  • That would be "Ebony Stain Lacquer Specialty" over Twisted Eucalyptus.

Call your local authorized dealer for pricing.

    Thanks for the complement!

  • hey i live in thousand oaks. is the showroom always open or do i make an appointment or something

  • glad you asked! We do factory tours every Thursday from 2-3pm. Call customer service 1-800-45-DRUMS x450. The tour can sell out, so save your spot asap.

  • Thanks 4 the products. U guys r the BEST company in the world and yeah, u guys do make the BEST drumming products ever. DW Drums rule!!!

  • I love DW drums. I´ve a DW Kit too. DW ist the one and only
