This song basically shows all of Eddie's rhythm playing genius. Most rhythm guys have a few chords they strum in a basic beat, Eddie adds these little rhythmic highlights and notes you don't really know are there but if they were removed could make the song ordinary. Eddie takes what could be boring and makes it beautiful.

@eddiehalenvan its one of the more difficult VH songs but i dont know your skill level. Id go about 8 maybe. Its hard to learn but once you hear and figure out just what he was doing it makes sense and gets easier. The solo is kinda bizarre too.

@satchbooggy The chorus doesn't sound that hard although you have to have such a find touch, but your solo is simply amazing. I can watch you play that solo over and over and it's easily as good as the EVH himself. I wish you would take request because I have a ton of solo's I'd like to hear you play. I just got locked on Disturbed - Into the Night solo for about 30 minutes.

@MuvoTX i think the song is tuned down drop d from a half step, which means everything is half step, but the low e string is tuned down to Db

@codyjt5150 OK thanks... the funny thing is I dont ever recall Ed tuning down for this tune the few times I saw them live. I guess he just played it standard 440 or whatever. Because I dont think he played every other tune a half step down for the whole gig. ... My memory could be fading though that was a LONG time ago.

I commented on a vid the other day of a guitarist who was recently featured in a certain guitar mag and said there are bedroom shredders out there who don't have their own signature amp, guitars, shoes, hats, undies etc who would blow him off the stage and was paid out for saying it. I was referring to guys like satchbooggy and kent carlevi who are easily 2 of the best players I have ever seen. But you just can't tell some people.
