  • The stretch duel of the 08' Epsom Derby between New Approach and Tartan Bearer was a classic. A great race. Tartan Bearer has been knocking of the door of getting that elusive Group 1 win for a long time. But he's always came up just short. But in all fairness. He's been denied Group 1 success from some very good horses. Conduit in the King George, New Approach in the Derby, and Vision D' Etat in the Prince of Wales.

  • Maidstone Mixture is a good horse

paul nicholls thinks hes too good to train for the wilson family.cant wait 2 see his face when cerium wins th 2010 grand national

  • This is shit hot, it looks proper epic from the side of the course!! I'd love to go somewhere like that.

It was a quality race. I had a fiver on Tartan Bearer, but i'm sort of glad New Approach won!! He is a top class horse!

  • swailesluke, Feeling the hooves shaking the ground as the horses are passing is amazing.

Tartain Bearer is a horse I would have chosen too! But Taajaweed bought my eye!

  • I thought it was great that a winning hurdler was running in the derby, I have followed both of his hurdle races since then he has come 4th and 3rd, He is the reason I do the Lottery I want to buy Maidstone mixture and help him become the first horse to ever run in both the Derby and Grand National!!

I wish they would send him to Paul Nicholls, As he is clearly not as useless as his owners other horses, Would like to see him given a good chance as a jumper.

    XX

  • There is local stable (now disused)that were home to a horse belonging to the Queen Mother that won the Grand National in the 50`s.

  • Gtreat clip I was gonna go to this, will definately go next year,

Bless Maidstone Mixture coming a long last he is my favorite and the first time i ever bet on a 1,000-1 shot

  • I was pleased that I got MM in the shot.

  • That would have made you richer if you put a fiver on MM!

  • And It Won!!

  • oooh laddy da... work this wan oot 180 bucks on new approach sittin in the pub on sat wae 15 quid fur a few pints, if new approach got beat and wis skint tae next friday . 4th last cummin roon tatteneham corner nae where tae go efter pulling the arms aff the jockey fur half a mile at the start, am aboot tae slit ma wrists and this hard cunt walks in.....obviously fuckin fancied imsel like, starts staring at me,lookin at me,right fuckin at me, as if tae say.... what a fuckin turn wee man

  • Sounds like you won a packet there! I hope?

I liked the name Tajaweed, for obvious reasons!

  • i think that might b me hoo gets in the way of the vid?:s

  • It is difficult not get in the way on such crowded occasions? But we all got there to see it!.

  • i was right near this. i must hav been next 2 u lol

  • It was the closest that we could get to the finish without a ticket! It was lucky to get near the barrier at the furlong marker.

  • tut tut, you should have backed new approach!!! lol! I wasn't far away from there.

  • hahern, you are very right! I liked the name, and the odds.

How much would £3 have won if it was put on New Approach?

  • well he was 5/1 so that would make it £15.

  • That would have been cool! But it was fun anyway.

  • thats the main thing. It would have been a losing day for me but for the big one and the race after!! Take care!

  • £3 win on odds of 5/1 would return £18, £15 winnings and £3 stake returned :).

  • great vid check mine
