Good to hear this. I actually have a bootleg tape of another east coast show in '76 where they do this one. At the very end, Lanier does a little piano interlude just like this one and leads it right into Flaming Telepaths, it's really great. Something tells me they didn't play this song live very often, maybe for just a portion of the '76 tour. I wish I would have been alive to see BOC back in those days.
@hellenicCult, are you sure? I understood that Allen sang True Confessions. I've just finished reading Blue Oyster Cult Secrets Revealed, and they were telling how it took many takes to get Allen's vocals on True Confessions like he wanted. Am I mistaken on this?
no..Allen NEVER sung any song besides the demo version of "Dance The night away" (unreleased) on the AGENTS OF FORTUNE lp..this song was used and released later (1981) by Jim Carroll when Allen was his keyboard player at that time.
You can hear that one ONLY on the REMASTERS version CD of "Agents"..
@TheHellenicCult Allen sung on lead on True confessions (Agents of fortune), his only original lead vocal for BOC. here it's Joe B! One of his best songs together with Nosferatu and Lightyears of love! (my oppinion :)

the guy who sings here is the bass player JOE BOUCHARD who plays now in BLUE COUPE with his brother Albert (ex BOC drummer)
This recording was included on the "Dharma for Buck" cd. The cover is pretty much the Spectres cover but has old SF tunes as well as some BOC live. It was a King Biscuit Flower Hour recording.
TheHellenicCult- the best channel on YouTube by far.

Allen sang "True Confessions" from Agents of Fortune. That was the only tune he sang. This is Joe Bouchard.

This song, along with Tattoo Vampire and Sinful Love, make up one of the most sinister trifecta's ever. Three of my favorite songs ever.

Look out Joe! Finally a LIVE version of a wonderful song. One of the great unplayed Cult classics.

I had no idea this track had ever been played live. It sounds great; it has a real sense of urgency.

Hi, thanks for posting this; I've always wonder how this sounded live. I saw them once in '78 and I don't think they did it then
