  • @theBESTdustyrose I agree, and you are very welcome. I actually had no idea that the views were that high. :) I had not looked in awhile

  • This song makes my life. Listening to it makes me want to do amazing things in life. I'm 14. It moves me.

  • @RealVulcan Your post makes me think there is hope for the future yet...

  • AMAZING!!!!

  • God I love being Canadian born and bread! The son of a WW2 vet and grandson of a naturalized Canadian going back over 100 years now! The boat that brought my granadfather from England made an inpromptu stop somewhere off Newfoundland to pay respects to a shipwreck that happened 1 year previous. That disater was the Titanic. How ironic that a journey that started so somber for my family led us to a country that makes my heart explode with joy whenever I think about it!

  • @nonokayakjack i like bread 2

  • LEGEND!!!!

  • One handed skill increased to 100.

  • He's kind of awkward, but it lends itself to his persona. He reminds me of Sid from lords of Dogtown.

  • great song

  • music was important during our times...dream, thoughts, emotions, love, everthing poured into the music then....coupled with musicians who could play guitar, drums, bass, strings, brass, reeds, and arrange it all for so many complex feelings, no wonder it trumps the music today with the copying and money waving...todays music gets tiring so quickly, wish there are more stories and words going to the heart

  • the greatest generation world war 11...gave us values, and a foundation solid as granite...this we cannot follow or ever be equal to them....however the baby boom generation will go down in history as the music generation....the absolute best music was made in our generation....this is our legacy.......peace..jbt

  • @Tellie72 I totaly agree.

  • The word profound comes to mind ... and timeless .. thank you Neil Young

  • amazing song every times i listen to it, it brings back memories and every time i cry.

  • Growing up in the '70's, this music will never get old. Love all the folk legends of that era, Young, Dylan, Baez & of course, Harry Chapin. This particular live clip is truly a gem. Thanks for posting it, feeling like I'm 17 again!!

  • Why are there no talented people anymore? Where are our hearts? All driven by ego, money and greed instead of what is in our hearts....wake up people.

  • californication had james mccartney's excellent cover of this timeless track... also to the children please stop yearning for an era in which you were not even born. it is unbecoming

  • @ADD112 I just watched that episode and I had to come here and listen to this version

  • 41 years later, I'm 20 years old and this is my favorite song. Born in the wrong generation, take me back!

  • As beautiful as ever. Timeless musical genius

  • <3

  • Why did this kind of music have to stop? The 70's rock will NEVER be repeated.

  • @hotstuffandicecream This music NEVER stopped. Things dont stop as long as YOU keep them alive in your heart and turn the new generation to TRUE music and TRUE art. The reason why everything sucks now is because WE allowed the foolishness to take over and stayed quiet! Keep listing and KEEP spreading the gospel of true art to the young ones.

  • The 132 people that dislaike this are idoits!

  • Anyone who thinks Neil Young can't sing - CAN go fuck themselves. Nowadays it's all "Auto-tune" bullshit. Worst of all - todays' music stars (don't & can't) write their own songs. Not real songs anyway...Long Live real talent....That goes for music and other talents such as Howard Stern on radio. He is a prophet of radio, just as Neil Young is a prophet of music. Long live true talent!

  • @pepperman911 Amen

  • i am 20 years old, i love my father! destiny said that he had to go to somewhere far way from me... i would be happy to be like my old man, he is an inspiration, his all life is a book that has a lot to offer to me. The best person that i will ever know....i love you dad.

  • @MrGavee ......Same here. I feel your pain......

  • Its funny, I've spent my whole life trying to self identify and create my own self, but now that I am older, all I did was run in the same footsteps my father ran when he ran from his father. Trying not to be my old man, made me just like him.

  • a song when i was 20...now i am an old man ....time somehow slaps you in the face!

  • luv&hapee OAMIII

  • When I first heard this song, I was a young man. Now, I'm an old man, yet the song has the same meaning. We all need love. Or something like it.

  • wow. very rarely is a live version so much better than the original

what brought you here naked in the full frontal mirror of yourself?

  • people that dont like this song are either deaf or illiterate

  • This song is so incredible. I really hope that inspired music like this will emerge and flourish again, and all the uninspired crap that people call "music" these days will fade away and be forgotten. Thumbs up if you agree. I think it could happen if we all start uniting and getting inspired by seeking the truth of life. Search "Truth Contest" in Google and click the 1st result, then open The Present. What it says will blow your mind.

  • Pure genius. His raw expression had the audience under a spell. Isn't that what artists do? I love the pause between his last chord, the applause, and then the ovation.
