I think the advertising for this product can be misleading, especially to those who do not know about car paints. Eg the one I saw said "Instantly repair scratches & scuffs on the PAINT" and "keep your car’s PAINT scratch-free". No mention was made that this would apply to only the clear coating/seal on TOP of the paint. The only mentin of a clear coat is in the "What you get" section" "Clear-coat scratch repair filler".

Useless review. Read the instructions properly .... scratches into the metal and dents are not what the pen is for. Your first test was a CHIP not a scratch .... learn the difference !!! Your second test was a dent .... what's the point of trying to repair scratches on something that needs bodywork sorting first.
Seriously, if you want any credibility for your show, REDO this test. And next time be sure to RTFM.
This product is for Clear-coat scratches (key scratches etc.), not deep scratches. Anybody with even the smallest IQ understands a clear laquer like this cannot repair a deep scratch like the one you tried.

I've seen the TV commercial where they use a nail to scratch a car so deep that the paint comes off and this magic pen still seems to fix it in the commercial. This pen doesn't really do that. At least the ad campaign is totally misleading.
I used this pen today and it does exactly what it says. The light scratch that I had,the fix it pro instantly erased it, the scratch was gone. This pen is only meant to fix the "CLEAR COAT". If the scratch goes deeper than the clear coat, it will not work.
I actually have one of these Fix it Pro pens. It does nothing. All it does is fill the hole with useless colorless liquid and makes you feel stupid because you think you don't know how to use it. :(

Well I bought this exact same product... from ebay, and it worked for me, it removed the unsightly white scuff that surrounded the scratch, but the groove of the scratch, the indentation, was still there, still though the dramatic whit shit around it was gone.
They claim that can fix any scratch on color,deep or not,and from what they say always believe the 20%... But hell,wait a minute,the scratch on the door didn't had any color left!
Any freaking ways,just grab a small genuine touch up paint,with an ear cleaner stick cover the scratch(es),then IF NEEDED slightly wet sand after a while with 800 grit,then 1000 and 2000,then rub with Rubbing Compound like 3M Perfect It and 3M Sponge,and here you have it,5-20$ fix,scam free and always working.
No offense but this is not a fair review. Why are you applying it out in the sun? The instructions says to apply it in the shade (preferably in your garage) THEN cure it in the sun. Thats why your pen messed up, because you exposed it to the sun which made it hard.
also don't take the commercial to seriously. it can't fix deep scratches.
In the ORIGINAL advert they used reverse filming, the car bodywork was unblemished to start with then they inserted a small blade into the tip of the Fix It Pro pen. They then pulled the pen across the paintwork leaving a thin scratch. Next they play back the video in reverse so it appears that the scratch is already there and is being wiped out by the pen....
this thing left a huge silver scar on my brand new tarus, it's real junk i called simoniz up on the phone and they told me it was my fault...really? My fault? you shake it, prime the tip, coat the scratch and wipe it off while not in the sun must be a real complicated product. Ruined my the trunk of my car stay away from it, just get a bottle of touch up paint from the dealer for 20 bucks it will save you alot of time and anger

Sorry for those who invented this product...I don't wanna be offensive but...it does not work at all...it dries pretty fast and leaves the surface of the dented or scratched filled with the resine...that looks almost like crazy glue...sorry fix it pro....the funny thing is that after using this product...I used my regular waxing or polishing product..and gues what....it work...it is just a matter of knowing what to use to take good care of your car. GUYS GUYS cool it, this pen DOES work to an extent that it does not show up as annoying scratch, IT definitely is value for money, IT works on ANY COLOR and yes its unexplainable but its like magic does the trick, the review is a bit HARSH because it is showing metal, but if it is JUST till the PRIMER which is the grey bit under the paint it does work guaranteed, i had an annoying scratch and it was horrible but this simoniz pro fix it did the job 100% satisfied for a half minut job, for cheap
As I'm sure has already been said, it isn't a pen of black paint - it fixes scratches, not damage down to the bare metal. It actually works pretty well if you have the surface damage of a limp-wristed keying from the typical passive-aggressive coward.

If you have metal scratches such as scratches to the metal, you need primer, bottom coat paint, clear coat, and blending solution if you want to even patch it up.

My friend had fix it pro and he used on his Lexus, took out most of the scratches but all those scratches were not deep as the one in this review,this one has no paint on it, it will not paint the scratch, it only covers it up !!! On TV ad they show how deep those scratches are, only goes down to paint. So i say do a few more tests with this kind of scratches as show on TV ad

This is a ridiculous review. Putting aside the fact that the pen is only supposed to fix clear coat scratches, did you even read the directions? Of course the pen "bricked itself" You not only used it in the sunlight, you left it open. It clearly states to apply it in a shaded area and reapply the cap immediately as the product cures very quickly. It also states that (on the vehicle) it can take up to 48 hours to completely cure. Learn how to read the instructions before you use things.
The instructions clearly state it will not fix scratches that are down to bear metal and only an idiot would expect it to. It's a clear coat in a pen, it fixes clear coat scratches and hides minor paint scratches that aren't deep enough to expose the metal.

i used that couple mins ago and it works on slight scratches but not the deed scratches like what bili mayz shown in the commercial i gave 3 stars out of 5 and he'd right with the tip it stocked inside so i have to used tweezers but it didnt work

Why don't you try this on little scratches. That's what I want to know. We are 100% sure that it won't fill paintless areas. This video is not good enough to show us the facts. I can't understand why you didn't try it on very little scratches.
If you read the instruction that comes with the pen, it says "Apply Fix it! Pro in COMPLETE SHADE." Obviously, in Billy's commercial, that wasn't the case. Also, on the instruction, for the final step, it says "Quickly wipe off excess with dry paper towel..." And if you try that, you are literally wiping off the coating you had just put on. I say ignore the instruction. Just put it on, and wait for 10 mins before you wipe off the excess. PS: The product idea is nice, but it doesn't work well.
This pen seriously suxs and messed my car up so bad. All it did was make my scratch uglier and looks like i went over it with glue and its all glumpy still after a year. no wonder billy mase died, probley because he lied to so many about all his products. i rate it a 0 out of 10 do not buy this pen unless you want a glumpy scratch that will never go away and will make your scratch 5x more money to fix then what it is today Save your money folks

This product is only good not to fix the paint, but to simply Disguise it, and offcourse it only remove static scratches, and things like that, it doesnt fix very deep scratches...

Then once you expose it to sunlight it cures. This guy is also not following instructions because he is not in the shade.
I am agree with this review, the product doesn't work at all. I bought this ..fix it pro.. and it did not fix any of the several scratch that I still have in my car. I am very disappoint, and it is amazing to see how this company is still distributing something like that.

StarReviews, you are doing an unfair review of the product. It is a clearcoat filler. The examples you used were way past the clear coat and down to the metal on the black car and tothe primer on the white car. You should be objective in your reviews.

Well I bought this exact same product... from ebay, and it worked for me, it removed the unsightly white scuff that surrounded the scratch, but the groove of the scratch, the indentation, was still there, still though the dramatic whit shit around it was gone.

Any freaking ways,just grab a small genuine touch up paint,with an ear cleaner stick cover the scratch(es),then IF NEEDED slightly wet sand after a while with 800 grit,then 1000 and 2000,then rub with Rubbing Compound like 3M Perfect It and 3M Sponge,and here you have it,5-20$ fix,scam free and always working.

No offense but this is not a fair review. Why are you applying it out in the sun? The instructions says to apply it in the shade (preferably in your garage) THEN cure it in the sun. Thats why your pen messed up, because you exposed it to the sun which made it hard.
also don't take the commercial to seriously. it can't fix deep scratches.

In the ORIGINAL advert they used reverse filming, the car bodywork was unblemished to start with then they inserted a small blade into the tip of the Fix It Pro pen. They then pulled the pen across the paintwork leaving a thin scratch. Next they play back the video in reverse so it appears that the scratch is already there and is being wiped out by the pen....

this thing left a huge silver scar on my brand new tarus, it's real junk i called simoniz up on the phone and they told me it was my fault...really? My fault? you shake it, prime the tip, coat the scratch and wipe it off while not in the sun must be a real complicated product. Ruined my the trunk of my car stay away from it, just get a bottle of touch up paint from the dealer for 20 bucks it will save you alot of time and anger

Sorry for those who invented this product...I don't wanna be offensive but...it does not work at all...it dries pretty fast and leaves the surface of the dented or scratched filled with the resine...that looks almost like crazy glue...sorry fix it pro....the funny thing is that after using this product...I used my regular waxing or polishing product..and gues what....it work...it is just a matter of knowing what to use to take good care of your car. GUYS GUYS cool it, this pen DOES work to an extent that it does not show up as annoying scratch, IT definitely is value for money, IT works on ANY COLOR and yes its unexplainable but its like magic does the trick, the review is a bit HARSH because it is showing metal, but if it is JUST till the PRIMER which is the grey bit under the paint it does work guaranteed, i had an annoying scratch and it was horrible but this simoniz pro fix it did the job 100% satisfied for a half minut job, for cheap

As I'm sure has already been said, it isn't a pen of black paint - it fixes scratches, not damage down to the bare metal. It actually works pretty well if you have the surface damage of a limp-wristed keying from the typical passive-aggressive coward.

My friend had fix it pro and he used on his Lexus, took out most of the scratches but all those scratches were not deep as the one in this review,this one has no paint on it, it will not paint the scratch, it only covers it up !!! On TV ad they show how deep those scratches are, only goes down to paint. So i say do a few more tests with this kind of scratches as show on TV ad

This is a ridiculous review. Putting aside the fact that the pen is only supposed to fix clear coat scratches, did you even read the directions? Of course the pen "bricked itself" You not only used it in the sunlight, you left it open. It clearly states to apply it in a shaded area and reapply the cap immediately as the product cures very quickly. It also states that (on the vehicle) it can take up to 48 hours to completely cure. Learn how to read the instructions before you use things.

The instructions clearly state it will not fix scratches that are down to bear metal and only an idiot would expect it to. It's a clear coat in a pen, it fixes clear coat scratches and hides minor paint scratches that aren't deep enough to expose the metal.

The fixit pro in my opioion will Only Cover Clear coat scratches to a point, it basically short cuts the job of t-cut, Anything more and the pen is NO good.

Zamówiłem jeden pisak i w tygodniu sam zobaczę jak to działa. Mam małe ryski i nie głębokie, ale zobaczymy i napiszę jak wyszło.

If you read the instruction that comes with the pen, it says "Apply Fix it! Pro in COMPLETE SHADE." Obviously, in Billy's commercial, that wasn't the case. Also, on the instruction, for the final step, it says "Quickly wipe off excess with dry paper towel..." And if you try that, you are literally wiping off the coating you had just put on. I say ignore the instruction. Just put it on, and wait for 10 mins before you wipe off the excess. PS: The product idea is nice, but it doesn't work well.

It fixes clear coat scratchs. Not paint scratchs. This was a bullshit review.

dude the paint wasnt even on the car for the first example that wasnt a scratch that was missing paint

StarReviews, you are doing an unfair review of the product. It is a clearcoat filler. The examples you used were way past the clear coat and down to the metal on the black car and tothe primer on the white car. You should be objective in your reviews.
