It's a bit short sighted to give credit to any president for bad or good economic conditions. Presidents can only sign in to law what Congress thought was a good idea. The economy depends a lot of people making a lot of decisions (also consumer confidence), and there are simply too many variables to give credit to one person or entity for anything good or bad. Also, laws may take years to take effect. And hey, if the govt. EVER has a surplus, they should give us some of our damn money back!

Well the C-span poll from 2009 put him at 37th in moral authority which was higher than that one Jennings brough up from 2000, but even so, that's still not high enough. Overall, he was ranked 15th best. That's higher than all the other presidents of the last 40 years with the exception of Reagan and LBJ, and I think Clinton will even outrank them eventually. He was obviusly the best president of my lifetime (I was born in '93) and was even the best president of my parents' lifetime.

There was no surplus! During every year of his administration the national debt as a whole increased. A deficit is equal to the amount of public debt plus the amount of intergovernmental holdings. During his administration, public debt went down and intergovernmental holdings skyrocketed causing a deficit.

It's a bit short sighted to give credit to any president for bad or good economic conditions. Presidents can only sign in to law what Congress thought was a good idea. The economy depends a lot of people making a lot of decisions (also consumer confidence), and there are simply too many variables to give credit to one person or entity for anything good or bad. Also, laws may take years to take effect. And hey, if the govt. EVER has a surplus, they should give us some of our damn money back!

Well the C-span poll from 2009 put him at 37th in moral authority which was higher than that one Jennings brough up from 2000, but even so, that's still not high enough. Overall, he was ranked 15th best. That's higher than all the other presidents of the last 40 years with the exception of Reagan and LBJ, and I think Clinton will even outrank them eventually. He was obviusly the best president of my lifetime (I was born in '93) and was even the best president of my parents' lifetime.

Like it or not, Clinton had the most ethical administration. Despite an 8 year witch hunt, over 40 million tax dollars spent to "investigate" Bill and Hillary, and an obsessive Republican controlled media -- all they found was a fkn blow job.
Only ONE person was found corrupt in Clinton's administration, an agriculture cabinet member. Just ONE after years of digging. (29 in the Reagan years, for context)

Bill Clinton received a standing ovation at the UN and the us media chose to run his grand jury testimony instead. Yesterday Clinton got upset in the media and alleged that there is a "cover-up" in the democratic party that is aimed at reducing his wife's chances for the dem's nomination! This particular video and their recent escapades show that the Clintons are really out of touch and thinking that they "deserve" another White House stint. With those lofty goals and checkered past, I wonder how they sleep at night...

Obviously, after the moral authourity question Jennings asked, Bill responded with passion and anger., the reaction ABC wanted. The purpose of the interview was to ask contoversial questions so that Bill wouldve went San Andreas in that bitch.Bill might've exagerated a bit on his examples, I concede that but there is some beef between the media and Bill.his reaction a bit refreshing, first rule in a politicains playbook is to dodge the question , but big billy C didnt do that

What would make a better story with more ratings, a civil and relaxed interview or an angry Bill wagging his finger at Jennings. Go on think about, you can use a lifeline if you want, call somebody or you know what Ill do 50 50, the latter is obviously more entertaining. the issue I have is people who feels sorry for Jennings and the media, which I think is just a joke, and only really useful for weather or celebrity gossip, so this is mostly about my respect for mainstream media.

Of course, but Jennings was just giving the facts. Maybe, ABC forced Clinton to react that way but Clinton could have created a relaxed reaction. I think he should have explained how he was more moral than Nixon or Harding.

Yes, it is better than the shit we are enduring today, far fewer deaths are credited to Bill's administration than the present administration. Today, Bill is at work with Brad Pitt in New Orleans following the Jimmy Carter lead in helping the poor.
