@pokeleague - This is the original one. What do you mean? They've slightly changed the plastic and cores over time, so the newer ones aren't as good.

My Guhong cannot even cut half of 45 degrees. My rubiks cube brand is actually better than my Guhong in cutting corners. PLEASE HELP ME!!

@indyur1 it is probably too tight......or maybe it is assembled wrong, or something is wrong with the hardware. something is very bad when a rubiks brand can cut corners better than a guhong.............

Great review. I just have one question though... What 3x3 is the best for a beginner who has only solved a 2 x2 before and is just starting to learn the 3x3. Would this one be good?

I bought a sheng en F-II and now i'm looking for other puzzles, is this DAYAN GUHONG really good, you know, better than the FII?

I'm not sure if you said this in the video, but if the answer is:"yeah" my next 3x3 will be a DaYan GuHong ;D.

@bielpassarela well i aint kylerv3, but i own the dayan guhong and it is the best cube ive owned...it doesnt pop and lock yet its faster than all my other cubes; usually you sacrifice stability for speed or vice versa but this cube gives you both ;)

V-cube has just killed the Dayan GuHong. I saw the patent and the only similarity is that the corner piece is longer. V-cube is doing that because the Guhong is the best cube ever and sells better than any other. I think V-cube will soon launch a 3x3x3 cube almost identical the Guhong to cover the hole in the market. This sucks!!!

@euquinehl They pulled back! The V-Cubes have announced the release of a new puzzle (I wouldn't be surprised of a delay) but they pulled back on the attacks on this cube. It does use V-Mech, but not the patented one. These people were smart and used the V-Mech's outer layer where Verdes patented the wrong mechanism and his cube will SUCK!!! So don't worry, the gu hong is much better

Apparently it does infringe on V-cubes patent on the corner stock. This has just come to my attention. Not sure what is going to happen but V-cube has been taking action against DaYan so we will see what will happen.

@kylerv3 Think of that as the outermost layer of a bigger puzzle. You see tons of parallels that way. It does not infringe the patent because V-Cubes actually patented the wrong mechanism. Theirs is the innermost layer of the bigger cubes.

hmm... do they come in wight? because I might get one of these to compare it to my FII and my friend's AV.

BTW, ive had my FII for about a month and only ever had one pop, even at the default tensions.

i wonder what this cube would be like if i lubed it with my 100% silicone stuff. that stuff made my friends storebought better than his type A

If you look at a lot of puzzle reviews ie, FII, Haiyan, A5, any DIY, it is hard to tell what the difference is just by spinning it or turning it. Since I am not a fast speed solver it would look as though that this cube is not very good considering I am a really rough solver. I wanted to focus on the internals (since they are unique) and the non-locking capabilities of the puzzle. Me just spinning the cube would not do it justice. If you think I ramble, put it on mute.

No adjustments have been made on the puzzle (3:29). I mentioned that I would like to after solving for a while if that is possible. I haven't attempted to do so yet since it has been fantastic so far.

why did you get it from witeden? you could have gotten it in less time for less than $17.65 plus $12.99 for the cube and wait like a month instead of getting it off of the speedcubeshop for $2 US shipping? or do you not live in the states?

Because I also wanted a Crazy 2x3x3, and a 3x3x7 so I could make a few mods that I have been wanting to make. Since I was already going to order those two puzzles anyway I really only paid $1 for the shipping for the the new 3x3x3. So technically I got it for cheaper.

By looking at the patent (schematics) for the V-Cube 3. Verdes has patents for V2-V11. That is how the KO companies have made the 9x9 and 11x11.

I came pre-lube and it is pretty good. I am going to keep it as is for the next week and then I will be changing some tension and replacing the lubricant.

@BluePi1313 its not a v cube 3 clone. V cube 3 is WAY different. Kinda herd to explain how different it is, but mainly the pieces are held in by rails, which is not the case on the lone goose.

In the video I mentioned that I didn't have an A5, Haiyan Memory, or FII so I am not sure. I know that in camcubers review he mentioned that he likes this cube a liitle more then the 3 cubes mentioned and he is a much faster solver than I.

It is about $4.50 for a square foot of 1/8 in. thickness. Since July 1st it is around $5-$5.50 now since our province is now taxed more for it.
