Elizabeth Taylor -- even ACKNOWLEDGED herself ... in her own Jewelry Book -- that (as confirmed in my own face-to-face meeting her) her EYES are NEITHER and never were ... violet nor any hue or tone thereof -- her eyes were celadon aka in the GREEN hue and tone pigment reflective color space. Perfection and her name was ELIZABETH. As beautiful in person as she was in this video. TY so much for this video of love. Rest in the arms of the angels D'Angelo Occhi. You will never see EYES like ELIZABETH'S they were stunning. GOD'S SUPREME CREATION.
Where people go wrong is believing what they see on cleverly crafted film: stills or motion: light color gells are used, which can and will, by design, impact the color balance captured, making in many instances eg, when it comes to film and video footage (err ... moving digital imagery) pale eyes appear, again by intent, COLOR-SHIFTED to eg, green, blue or violet: fortunately PRE-DIGITAL such moving film, unless vignetted, can be identified by an overall frame shift; stills, were AIRBRUSHED!
To all these people saying Richard Burton was a racist, what did he do or say? I'm not disagreeing with you. I just want to know. How did Elizabeth handle it? Obviously she wasn't racist.
@RichardElden If you do not appreciate Burton on screen, then you should not waste your time watching the trailer. We all have our cup of tea, and there is no purpose in slandering actors or acctresses that are no longer with us.
I love to think that they are together now. Just imagine, Ms. Elizabeth walking through the pearly white gates, her lovely youthful self. All her husbands lounging about and she greets them all. Finally she would find Burton sitting on a couch sipping (sherry...?) and say, "Well my dear, what took you so long?"
She was definitely my favorite actress from her era, SHE HAD THE MOST GORGEOUS AND UNIQUE EYE COLOR IN THE WORLD. WHO CAN SAY THEY HAD VIOLET COLORED EYES?? ONLY HER!
To the person who posted that Taylor and Burton had one child, the following can be found on Burton's bio on IMDB.com:
"Since Elizabeth Taylor was unable to have children, she and Richard adopted a German girl as their daughter, legally naming her Maria Burton. She was born in Germany c. 1964 with a deformed jaw that was fixed while she was still a baby."
Really like the way this is done. I've never seen The Sandpiper. I'll see if I can find it somewhere. Even if it wasn't a commercial/critical success, it's clear those two had real chemistry onscreen. All you have to do to test my theory is watch w/o sound scenes between male/female leads from recent movies.
@khamir49 Go onto Netflix and order it! Its a wonderful, sensual passionate movie! It comes through on the screen with their chemistry.. I have watched it at least 1/2 a dozen times and it never gets old... Im sad she's gone :(
@jeffnlisa she was one of the most beautiful woman of her time i mean she even when she was 70 years old she looked like she was 20 years younger. I was watching this last night not knowing that she would be gone today. RIP Elizabeth! You were my idol. Im so sadden by your death that I started crying during my history class today. I cant believe we will never see your beautiful eyes again.
@JuanMacready Nope, not at all. I'd love to see your pic, though so I can deem whether or not you are worthy to judge others physical appearance. Of course beauty is much more than that. Your words are superficial and cruel. Yuck - ugly!
I was very fortunate to personally meet Miss Taylor in 1992. She is more beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. And that is saying volumes of her inner beauty. I believe she was around 59 or 60 and I have to add the most beautiful woman in the world!
My favorite movie of all time, it illustrates how deeply we can allow ourselves to love and be loved in a forbidden relationships. The love is as deep as the hurt and results in enormous pain. (Death)

Their love is evident in their eyes. They were and remain one of the most beautiful Hollywood couples. Liz is an extraordinary actress so I think it will never have one like her.
When Elizabeth Taylor appears, the cameras flash until it's blinding. After all these years, she is still beautiful. Elizabeth Taylor is one of the last, if not the last great star that came of the old Hollywood studio system. And it is still a sign of her superstar quality, that when she next she appears, we will still look and wonder. At her approach, the approach of Elizabeth Taylor - the public eye still widens in anticipation. She recently stated she loved Richard until his death.
Okay, get a grip, please! Thou doth swoon excessively, methinks [as Burton might say]. Yes, she was a hottie in her day, but that day was like fifty years ago. Hollywood has always had lots of beautiful women and it always will. Liz Taylor was just one of many.
@HAMLETSGHOST100 - You're all over YouTube leaving your negative comments. Look in the mirror, is that what you meant to become. And what would the opinion mean coming from someone like you.
Or don't watch the video if you think it's that great. You have to watch something to have an opinion about it...the guy thought it stunk. However, you, are trying to tell someone what to do.
This movie does look a little dated..as opposed to Burton's work with Ava Gardner...
My favorite look for Elizabeth: No overdone jewels, no puffy hairdos, no heavy makeup. Just her with a tan, loose hair and gypsy like clothes, a true mother earth. Magnificent.
Your video is still beautiful even with the new soundtrack. But your original video with the "right" music is heaps better of course. I love "The Sandpiper". I've watched it about 3-4 times just in the past year. :)
Im adding this to my favorites.Thank you for sharing YiotaPam. I am a fan of Miss Taylor. Though she may not have led a perfect life, but then again who's life is ? She has helped a lot of people. Her kindness will always be remembered.
Dear Yiota ~ You do not know me but I wanted to thank you for the loving tribute to Sir Richard and Dame Elizabeth as well as the touching tribute to your sweet friend who has made her journey far too early in her life.
It's evident you put your heart and soul into making this. The song and lyric were a perfect fit to the video you compiled.
I offer my belated condolences on the passing of your friend. She is watching over you from Heaven.
Yiota you've outdone yourself with this video. It's absolutely beautiful. :)
I loved it. The chemistry between them is so strong and the music is romantic, sad, bittersweet and perfect. I have never heard of the group before but it's great. :)
You've done a great job matching up the lyrics with the clips too. it shows that you've put in a lot of time on this. :)
I'm sorry to hear about your friends premature death. It's so sad! :(
Thanks also for your e-mail. I'll reply tomorrow... ;)

Richard,
I remember Ms. Taylor wearing the yellow dress and hat into her son's school (the young movie actor) when she made this lovely movie.
This was some love story, but I felt badly for the woman who played his wife, the lovely Eva St. Marie.
Always,
Iris

Dear Yiota ~ You do not know me but I wanted to thank you for the loving tribute to Sir Richard and Dame Elizabeth as well as the touching tribute to your sweet friend who has made her journey far too early in her life.
It's evident you put your heart and soul into making this. The song and lyric were a perfect fit to the video you compiled.
I offer my belated condolences on the passing of your friend. She is watching over you from Heaven.
Blessings & Joyous Howls,
Camille

@PeterFirthFan For starters... Richard Burton declined knighthood, however, to me and many others, he will always be Sir Richard.
You're pretty much a chicken shit aren't you.... let me guess... Napoleonic syndrome, not well endowed.... what IS your problem???

Yiota you've outdone yourself with this video. It's absolutely beautiful. :)
I loved it. The chemistry between them is so strong and the music is romantic, sad, bittersweet and perfect. I have never heard of the group before but it's great. :)
You've done a great job matching up the lyrics with the clips too. it shows that you've put in a lot of time on this. :)
I'm sorry to hear about your friends premature death. It's so sad! :(
Thanks also for your e-mail. I'll reply tomorrow... ;)
